Michael Jordan was elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on first ballot. No surprise. Also elected: David Robinson, John Stockton and ex-Chicago Bull and Utah Coach, Jerry Sloan, whose #4 is retired by the Bulls.
No need to go into any of their accomplishments.
Rutgers women's coach C. Vivian Stringer, 61, was also elected. More info Ruetgers site.

- First coach in NCAA history to lead 3 different women's teams to the Final Four:
- Rutgers in 2000 and 2007 (1995-present)
- University of Iowa in 1993 (1983-1995)
- Cheyney State College (now Cheyney University of Pennsylvania) in 1982 (1972-1983)
- Third winningest coach in women's basketball history, behind only Tennessee's Pat Summitt and former University of Texas coach Jody Conradt.
- 1993 Naismith College Coach of the Year for women's basketball
- Member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
Induction is Sept. 10-12 in Springfield, Mass., home of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. It will mark the 50th Anniversary.
Recently passed Johnny Red Kerr, Coach and voice of the Bulls was denied entry.
