Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
Cubs clinch and set a new attendance record: 3,259,649!
3.25 Million fans watching a team that hasn't won the World Series in 100 years in a park with a capacity of 41, 118.
And to clinch in the Friendly Confines against the Cards with Edmonds catching the final out is beyond cosmic.
Ronnie stood and screamed: Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! and then sat back down, put his head back and exhaled for the first time in 6 months. Now he won't have to go to the toilet bowl to watch the Cubbies clinch. Think how much that heater could get on eBay.
It was great to see the players come out and do a champagne lap. Last year was dramatic because we won, but this year to have it happen at home was totally awesome!
I'm not going to say anything else. I don't believe in curses, but I don't want to curse anything.
GO CUBS GO! GO CUBS GO!
