Ethics reform bill passage credited to Obama

Obama in town for more fundraising. Guess the 50-state plan has been scraped by greed. A lot easier to call them racists for not voting for him.

Mary Ann Ahern speaking about McCain ad mentioning Blagojevich, Daley, Rezko, Jones -- all Obama corrupt confidantes.

Greeks for Obama fundraiser host, State Treasurer, Alexi Giannoulias:
"So to see people try and make him out as a machine politician, to me, who knows him pretty well, I think is a ridiculous claim. "
Marion Brooks:

Pay to Play Bill
Veto Override
Tonight, Senator Obama is being credited with the passage in Springfield of the landmark reform legislation that places new restrictions on political fundrasing. By a vote of 55-0 the state senate voted to override a veto by Gov Blagojevich. He had used his amendatory veto power to make controversial changes to the original reform bill. State Senate President, Emil Jones, called for the vote after prodding by Senator Barack Obama.

Under the new law people worth state contracts of $50,000 or more are prohibited from contributing to the politicians who administer the contracts. The new law will go into effect on January 1st.

The governor says his plan would go farther to prevent pay to play politics.
There is no way to stop pay to play politics in Chicago because that is how it's done, has been done, will always be done. I wonder what Daley Sr would think about having his own make it into the White House? It's laughable for Giannoulias to feign outrage that Obama is a machine politician. McCain's ad didn't even use that word. And how else did Giannoulias get his job? What's the connection with Kos and Huffington? And what Cabinet position will he get?

And barry talking about political fundraising ethics? Syrian-born Tony Rezko was found guilty of paying to play politics and Barry's name was in the indictment as one of the politicians who benefitted from Rezko's scheme. Barry had to give back the "alleged funds" that he had no idea about - even though the man in question's son got an internship in Barry's senate office. Pay to play?

Rezko was Barry's first fundraiser. He raised at least $250K for Barry and was one of his campaign finance advisor during Barry's 2004 US Senate race. Barry had to return $159K of Rezko bundled funds. Rezko was found guilty on what that "ethics reform bill" is meant to stop. Absolute hypocrisy. Emil Jones is retiring and who has he given the job to? His son who is no more qualified for the job than Bambi.

And where is the MSM? Who is investigating this? Who is bringing it up? Pro-obama MSM bias doesn't exist? Barry pressured Jones his senator-maker to pass it through because the rest of his legislation is not standing up and he needs a way to distance himself from "The Machine". And how long before Blagojevich ends up indicted? And who will be the middleman? Rezko - barry's good old buddy and fundraiser.

And Lake County, Indiana election results? 11,000 absentee ballots? Nothing reported till after midnight, when CNN had had enough? Laughable. All of it.
