Have you heard about the McCain volunteer assaulted in NY?

October 24, 2008
Annie, I have to comment again about the attacked woman. I can't get past the fact that the cheek wound looks fresher than the bruising about the eyes. Why aren't they more swollen? I'm saying this as a scientist not a doubter. Go draw a "B" on your cheek looking in a mirror using your right hand. The way the "B" is on her face only makes sense if they were prone head to head and he was right handed. It can't have happened if he was on top of her unless if he was a dyslexic lefthander. The left eye is more bruised so one would expect the trauma to come from a right fist. It's just strange to my scientific eye. It's a very precise looking "B" almost like a brand or stencil or a very meticulous carving - no evidence of irregularity from flinching or a rush job. But it in no way explains the bruised eyes. The time of the picture after the injury would be very helpful. Just thoughts. Not accusations. I am not IN ANY WAY suggesting it was self-inflicted. Whatever the hell happened - it hurts. And whatever happens here on in - she'll be excoriated in the press.

Did she have a bumpersticker on her car?

Here's a case I only heard about as I was researching this poor girl. In NY (9-15-08) a man attacked a woman for holding a McCain sign, saying the election was making him crazy and he just lost it. I wonder if he works for the media. See link below for the criminal complaint in the allegedly (legal disclaimer) assaulted woman's own words and pictures of her wounds and the alleged perpetrator: "a rather benign, doughy-looking guy." Check out the comments section, too. F.A.Hagen: "Cue crickets."

(See
here for bot reactions to a McCain march through enemy territory: Manhattan.)

From Pajamasmedia's OLEG ATBASHIAN (10-17-08):
Defendant grabbed the sign [informant] was holding, broke the wood stick that was attached to it, and then struck informant in informant's face thereby causing informant to sustain redness, swelling, and bruising to informant's face and further causing informant to sustain substantial pain."
Change we can believe in?
DEFENDANT: "I don't know why I did this. It's just those signs, and this election, it has me so upset."

ATBASHIAN: What came over him? Probably a hangover after that MSNBC election coverage. He might as well have continued living a benign life if the one-sided media election coverage and the Democratic Party's scorched-earth propaganda strategy hadn't turned this New Yorker into an enraged, quixotic attack machine slaying Republican "dragons" in the middle of a liberal city.

Will the media run with a story of an Obama supporter who went berserk at the sight of McCain signs and repeatedly struck a woman volunteer on the head with a stick."
Well, Oleg, I think you have your answer.
