Ignorant columnist of the day: Gene Robinson

October 7, 2008
Washington Post
Eugene Robinson (58) looks way older
As pro-Obama as it gets. Blitzer asked him for one of barry's accomplishment and he directed wolf to barry's website. And the next day? Robinson endorsed him. I hate to give his words voice - but that is the purpose of this site.

Todays article: Flimflam Strategy
We also know that no matter how skeptical we are when we write about bogus allegations, writing about them at all gives them wider circulation. So when Palin questions Obama's love of country because Obama knows somebody who did something unpatriotic when Obama was 8, our free-market ethos makes us rush to cover her every ridiculous word. We also find ways to convey that this is pure mudslinging and nothing but a cynical campaign tactic, but that doesn't matter to the McCain campaign. What matters is that we're writing and talking about this extraneous stuff -- and not about the issues that polls say voters really care about.

If we in the media really believe what we say about serving the public interest, we have a duty to avoid being turned into instruments of mass distraction. Of course we should cover what the candidates say, putting their words in context and pointing out when the candidates are exaggerating or lying. But we should also think hard about how much prominence we give to smears and counter-smears.
This disgusts me. He disgusts me. He and the rest of the MSM have spent the campaign trashing Senator Clinton and promoting barry and now when the truth is presented by the Republicans - the same truth YES TRUTH that has been out there since day, which they refused to vet - it's something they shouldn't write about. The argument that it happened when barry was 8 is not one they should be making. It shows that barry a professor of politics should have been quite aware of him and had the JUDGMENT to not go near him and certainly not allow him and his FBI MOST WANTED LIST wife Dohrn to host his first fundraiser. And if that doesn't show bad JUDGMENT - what about taking $200 from a man who is a confirmed domestic terrorist? There's no hiding this geno and if it didn't matter why are you wasting an article defending barry? You all are so obvious it's laughable.

How were - have they ever been about trashing SHRC? This is absolute horseshit: "But we should also think hard about how much prominence we give to smears and counter-smears" - when it hurts their chosen one. How many times has geno talked about how "erratic, confused, irritable, intemperate..." McCain is? How can any of them think their words have any meaning or their favorite word: gravitas. How can they be more moronic?

Journalism"? What a bunch of crap. It's closing ranks around their manlove chosen one. They have no clue about how it reflects on barry. It shows him to be a spineless cerebral wimp pretending to be the second coming of the great American presidents (leaving out the only democratic one in the last 28 yrs - the last time the economy was booming and the budget balanced), who needs the football team to bodyguard him while he writes their papers. And SHRC? She has survived in one month more than barry has his entire public career. How long before their articles outline their messiah's weakness and indecisiveness?

Where was the media's restraint when they brought that stupid ass who asked Chelsea Clinton about the usual? How much "prominence" was that given gen-o? Or when they ran with the Kos started rumor about Gov Palin's pregnancy and totally outed her daughter's? Too tired to keep ranting - and he's not worth any more of my words and the debate's about to start. I'm predicting a major fall apart for barry.
