At the governor's meeting today Gov Rendell was caught by an open mic commenting on Gov Napolitano being appointed to Secretary of Homeland Security. To be fair, his tone was matter-of-fact - not malicious.
RENDELL: Janet's perfect for that job. Because for that job, you have to have no life. Janet has no family. Perfect. She can devote, literally, 19-20 hours a day to itA woman is perfect for a job if she has no family because then she no life.
Having or not having a family has nothing to do with it. Gov Napolitano has a life, which she has chosen to devote to public service. And she, like Gov Palin, went to work even through "female issues". Gov Palin worked up to her delivery and returned to work three days after giving birth to her fifth child. And Gov Napolitano as Arizona Attorney General spoke at the 2000 Democratic National Convention just three weeks after having a mastectomy.
How many male politicians have done that?
Are expected to do that?
And has anyone done a study on what exactly male politicians do when they get off work? How much they actually contribute to the household other than financially? I'm sure the women who stand next to them at the scandal podium would have plenty to say.

A little theatrical outrage. There's absolutely no conviction in her words. None. Where was Alma's outrage when outright misogyny happened all around her every single day every single segment? She has only gotten into acknowledging it since barry sewed up the win. It's laughable. Just like Nanci Pelosi warning foreign leaders about sexism and Howard Dean saying he didn't realize how bad it was.
Heard anything since the good doctor's admission? Anything he is going to do change things?
Or has he been too busy handling barry's birth certificate lawsuit?
