technorati censorship continues

December 26, 2008

technorati continues to censor our sites - here on wordpress but also on blogger. No pings since 12-17 and 36 posts not indexed.

google's is a little more subtle. They periodically unverify the blogger site. No cache. Six weeks no googlebot and as soon as we come over here the googlebot returns. It doesn't matter to us. It's people/sites like Pam Geller's Atlas Shrugs who make a living off their sites

barry had googleites advising him on technology and energy issues - including the let's help barry get elected forum in Florida. CEO Eric Schmidt came out and endorsed barry -- stressing that google is neutral. Why the need to bring it up? Schmidt is on barry's Transition Economic Advisory Board - but supposedly doesn't want to be barry's first Czar of Technology. Could be because he wants to avoid a conflict of interest in his acquisition of Yahoo? He qualifies to be a barryman because he checks off three of barry's little boxes: Chicago connection & Princeton alumnus & male.

Silicon Valley's FRANK DAVIES: (11-18-2008)

CEO Eric Schmidt, who campaigned for Obama, is now one of his economic advisers. Schmidt gave a speech Tuesday on technology and government that drew a packed house to an auditorium in downtown Washington. Schmidt, who grew up in Washington, has a keen interest in government and serves as chairman of the New America Foundation, a centrist think tank whose staffers and ideas are known by the Obama team. New America sponsored his talk Tuesday.

Dan Reicher, who oversees energy initiatives at Google, worked on a clean-tech group that raised about $2 million for the Obama campaign.

...Schmidt has also said he is not interested in a government job, such as the post of chief technology officer that Obama plans to create. But it's also clear that many of Schmidt's views mesh with Google's overall goals and reflect Obama's thinking.

...But Google may have an advantage with the new administration because Obama and his team "seem to have a cultural and psychological affinity with Google's approach to issues," said Ed Black, president of the Computer and Communications Industry Association, of which Google, Microsoft and Yahoo are members.

Obama's team also has ties to more established industries, "but Obama identifies with innovative companies and dynamic newcomers" such as Google, he added.

...SCHMIDT: The Internet was the big winner in the 2008 election, and Obama used it skillfully.

His ego got the best of him. He had to take credit for barry's election however subtly. The question is: Who, if anyone, is going to investigate google's and all the other whatever's censorship?

barry?

C'est la vie! Freedom of speech, censorship and propaganda have a new meaning since barry came on the scene. One step closer to the More Perfect Union Goebbels and his messiah imagined!

GOOGLE originally said the selection and placement of stories on the page was determined automatically by a computer program. Now it's absolutely clear humans directly influence it.
