What a great game. Two outs, bottom of the ninth, Cubbies behind 6-2 and we come back to tie it and then win it in the 12th. I just feel bad it was against Milwaukee who deserves to get in over the Mets.

The Cubs had just three hits before the ninth inning and two of those were solo homers by Edmonds and Ramirez. With two outs in the ninth, Ramirez doubled and Edmonds singled him in. Score 6-3. DeRo singled and Edmonds went to 2nd. Soto walked into the batter's box with the Wrigley faithful going nuts...first pitch...it could be, it might be, it's got a chaaaaaa-nce.....GONE! Hey! Hey! 3-run homer ties the game and the natives are berserk!

Bottom of the 12th

Daryle Ward pinch hit and got a leadoff walk. Marquis pinch ran and advanced to 2nd on Reed Johnson's sacrifice. Alfonso Soriano was intentionally walked. Theriot flew out and Marquis took 3rd. Lee, who was 0 for 5, got in there and smacked the 2-2 pitch to center for the game-winning hit.
