Alice Springs Reptile Centre, Northern Territory, Australia
A 7 y/o boy scaled a fence and in 35 minutes bludgeoned to death 13 animals (including a giant turtle, thorny devils, western blue-tongue lizards, a 20 y/o 3-ft goanna and a variety of monitor lizards) and fed them to Terry, an 11-ft crocodile. Many of them rare animals. He then scaled a second fence to get a look at his work. His face was expressionless and it was all caught on CCTV. His brother had attacked Terry 5 years ago and the zoo's only been open for 8. The zoo director feels the same. Neindorf: "We're horrified that anyone could do this, and saddened by the age of the child. He will just get worse and worse and worse - by the time he's 10 he will be a hardened criminal." And how old his brother? His parents should be held criminally liable...before he (they) attack(s) them. It's only a matter of time. And it most definitely was not a surprise when they got the call. Here he is throwing a chunk of the bludgeoned into the croc's enclosure.
