Computer chip vs Orgasmatron

December 22, 2008

First it was the Orgasmatron (no joke) and now it's surgically implanted computer chips in the brain. They've already been used for Parkinson's. The chip stimulates the pleasure centers in the brain and the Orgasmatron works locally on the pelvic nerves. ABC did a show on this and there were a couple of very happy ladies - one couldn't stop giggling (the dial is self-controlled) and one very unhappy woman for whom it did not work.

Dr Meloy, an anesthesiologist and pain specialist, was doing a routine procedure with the standard spinal stimulator on a woman with chronic pain and she had a rather unanticipated joyous moment. Since it was the first time it had happened to one of his patients - he was not aware of what was going on until she exclaimed: "you're gonna have to teach my husband how to do that!"

Chronic pain treatment turns into pleasure. I don't know if it was part of the same show but they actually filmed a woman in a CAT scan machine inducing orgasm with her mind only. Pavlov gone porno. I wonder who was funding the research.
