UPDATE: Mrs Obama's phone call: Obama camp offered $3M bribe

October 29, 2008

The continuing fantastical saga of the African Press International's claim that Mrs Obama made a call to them discussing barry's birth in Hawaii and later adoption by his stepfather. Now they have released the tape to FOX News (of course) and the Obama "campaign manager" offered a $3M bribe. No name of course. I guess the proof will be whether FOX actually has something to air. One more thing Plouffe might have been stressed about - even if it is complete fabrication. Original post. Vieter denial

Chief Editor Korir of the API:

Six hours after the release of information by API on the planned broadcast by Fox News Network of the Michelle Obama tape, in accordance with an agreement that has been reached between API and Fox News Network, API was contacted by Obama's Campaign Manager.

Those who are close to the democratic presidential candidate must be desperate to win the elections no matter what, otherwise they would not have taken such bold step to contact API with an offer of a bribe in order to stop the airing of the tape.

Obama's campaign manager contacted API by telephone and email offering 3 million US dollars followed with a request to API to cancel the deal with Fox News Network.

Ten days ago API received the first request to accept 2 million US dollars by Mr Ed Hale, President of Plains Radio, Texas - USA, in an effort to suppress the information from reaching the public before the coming US Presidential elections.

API has now taken a decision to contact the American Embassy in Oslo, Norway as soon as possible in order to report the matter and hand over the evidence for investigative purposes.

API's Canadian lawyer is expected to fly to Oslo shortly in order to assist in the legal matters that arise from the bribery attempt.

API's Chief editor is expected to travel to New York, together with the Canadian lawyer, where he will appear live in one of the shows that will air the Michelle Obama tape.
I can't even comment on this. You decide what's going on. I'm more interested in what Berg has done as far as the lawsuit to unseal Obama's birth certificate. I still wonder about the timing of the trip to Hawaii and how certain he was when he was coming back.

Vieter: Mrs Obama story is not real

Wednesday, October 15, 2008
Byron York In regards to the alleged API interview with Mrs Obama.
I'm sure a lot of you have seen references this morning to statements allegedly made by Michelle Obama in an interview with an organization called African Press International. I just asked the Obama campaign whether Michelle Obama did in fact speak to that organization, and spokesman Tommy Vietor answered: The answer is no, it's not real, the report is made up. She did not speak to the organization.

Update 1

Did Mrs Obama really call the African Press International?

October 16, 2008

Can it get any weirder? African Press International broke a story that Mrs Obama made a phone call to them complaining that the blogosphere is seeking to destroy barry's chances at the presidency. Same rumor about the place of his birth. The Kenyan grandmother said she was at his delivery. barry and his sister name different hospitals in Hawaii that he was born at. Birth certificate appears to be forged and he won't release the document. He won;t release his Columbia school records (as brilliant as he is) and he won't release his medical records (as healthy as he seems to be.) Anyway this is an online news source about Africa - Kenya and yet it is located in Oslo, Norway. Some of the wordage seems a little suspect: "American white racists. & African media mature enough" Again this could simply be diffused by releasing her phone records or the tape. How more wacky can this get. You decide. The East African or the East African Standard are reputable news sources. See Web Kenya. I haven't bothered to look to see if this is covered in there also.

From African Press International: (Note the misspellings)
Shocking development: Mrs Obama decides enough is enough: "My husband was born in Hawaii and adopted by his step father, does that make him unpatriotic; she asks", on a direct telephone to API.
Accusing API of colluding with American internet bloggers in an effort to bring down her husband, Mrs Obama said she decided to call API because of what she termed, API's help to spread rumours created by American bloggers and other racist media outlets in their efforts to damage a black man's name, saying she hopes African Media was mature enough to be in the front to give unwavering support to her husband, a man Africans should identify themselves with.

When API told her that our online news media was only relaying what the American Bloggers and other media outlets had discovered through their investigations, Mrs Obama was angered and she came out loud with the following: "African press International is supposed to support Africans and African-American view," and she went to state that, "it is strange that API has chosen to support the racists against my husband. There is no shame in being adopted by a step father. All dirt has been thrown onto my husband's face and yet he loves this country. My husband and I know that there is no law that will stop him from becoming the president, just because some American white racists are bringing up the issue of my husband's adoption by His step father. The important thing here is where my husband's heart is at the moment. I can tell the American people that My husband loves this country and his adoption never changed his love for this country. He was born in Hawaii, yes, and that gives him all the right to be an American citizen even though he was adopted by a foreigner; says Michelle Obama on telefon to API."

This is a very interesting turn of events. The American man Dr Corsi was recently reported to have been arrested in Kenya because there was fear that he might reveal information on Obama when he wanted to hold a press conference in Nairobi.

On Farakhan and his ministry, Mrs Obama told API that it was unfortunate that Mr Farakhan came out the way he did supporting her husband openly before the elections was over. That was not wholehearted support but one that was calculated to convince the American people that my husband will support the growth of muslim faith if he became the president, adding "even if my husband was able to prove that he is not a Muslim, he will not be believed by those who have come out strongly to destroy his chances of being the next President. Do real people expect someone to deny a religion when 80 percent of his relatives are Muslims?; Mrs Obama asked.

Mrs Obama asked API to write a good story about her husband and that will earn API an invitation to the innoguration ceremony when, as she put it , her husband will be installed as the next President of the United States of America next year.
Sounds like it was written by a teenager wanting a free flight to America - much the same as Barack Sr did.
