Whoopi wrong again: barry’s bow

November 20, 2009

Whoopi Goldberg should study up on what she decides to yap about – especially when it comes to barry. Or rape. She thinks it’s “protocol” for the president of the United States to bow to 90 degrees and greet the emperor with the top of his head and at the same time treat the press corps to a view of his buttocks. Again. It’s a replay of King Saudi — although barry actually genuflected that time (video). And in the interim barry has refused to learn proper protocol. He prefers to show the world how clueless he is of international protocol, while Secy Clinton travels and conducts herself like a head of state.

Ms Goldberg: the emperor doesn’t bow to anyone.

Greeting Emperor, servant barry at your service.

Unfortunately this is the only video I could find. I would have like to hear the whole conversation and whether Ms Walters chimed in about what’s proper or just defended barry like she did with the Saudi bow.

WHOOPI: Dick! It’s called protocol. What’s wrong with you?

Blagojevich on The View

january 26, 2009

Milorad hits The View. Best highlight - Joy Behar asks him to do his Nixon impression as in "I am not a crook!" and when he refuses she ruffles his hair. I wonder if she won a bet. I would like to know what the makeup people tried to talk him into. If nothing else - I'm sure someone would offer him a hair care endorsement. His "football" is a Paul Mitchell hairbrush.

PART 1

firedoglake

Barbara Walters via satellite. She wants to know what's on the tapes because otherwise why is he wasting their time. He doesn't bite. She says she'd like him to come back fter the impeachment trial. She was downright nasty. She seems to have forgotten he has not been charged or indicted except in the court of public opinion about his profanity.

PART 2

firedoglake

Discuss Oprah as possible appointment, foul language - Whoopi said she could give him lessons - legal talk about his defense and then Joy wants to hear his Nixon impression and then she ruffles his hair. (7:28) The highlight of his entire media blitz.

Veteran's Day and the war continues...

Veteran's Day
The View
Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselback...again. Why do they gang up on her?

Video courtesy of speakmymind01
The election's over but the war continues. I've watched Behar on Leno and Larry King and her ignorance of barry is stunning. Made worse by her vehement support and defense of him. How much will she let pass before she attacks barry?

Senator Clinton on The View

October 15, 2007
The View...before they were obamerized. Watch someone who has command of what she will do. Someone who knew the urgency of the economy and impending financial crisis when she first started running. Barry was still clueless at the end of March. Cult of personality. I didn't vote so I could remain neutral but it's clear to me who was the best candidate of all five. The one that was attacked in every fashion while the Man Above the Fray and Grand Uniter! stood by and let it happen. And the Transcender of Race has stood by and let the nation think all of his opponents, including the last Democratic president, as racists.

CSPANJUNKIEdotORG.
CLINTON: My attitude is that you get up every day and do the best you can. Some days are better than other days. I do think there still is probably a tougher standard for women, especially running for president. I mean we've all been through it in some way or another. Where you go, you try to break a barrier, you try to do the best you can and people are saying 'well I don't like her clothes' or 'I don't like her hair' or whatever. BUT I THINK WE'RE GETTING BEYOND THAT." [NOT.]

BEHAR: When you're on the road like that. What about the white males? How do they respond to you?

CLINTON: You know it's been wonderful. I have lots of people who come. They're very interested. They ask tough questions, but they come in greater and greater numbers now. I'm very excited about that.

WALTERS: Your polarizing. Your polarizing. Yes, she'll get the nomination but she won't win the election.

CLINTON: That's what the campaign is for. To get the people to see you for who you are....You can be for or against anybody based on anything.

Not just race. She accepted people wouldn't vote for her or vote against her. barry thought everyone should vote for him and if they didn't it was because they voted against him...never FOR his opponents. His supporters feeling the same way. She just wanted a fair shake, which she did not get. She might as well have been running in the middle east with the proobama propaganda and personal and barbaric sexist attacks. Then she could have worn the burkha and avoided comments on her hair, face, body, clothing, makeup, etc.

WHOOPI: What are the first three things will you do?

CLINTON detailed these three:
1 - Withdraw our troop from Iraq carefully and responsibly.
2 - Diplomacy. Ask distinguished Americans Republicans and Democrats to travel around the world.
3 - Economic agenda to rebuild a strong and prosperous middle class. I will start working on that IMMEDIATELY with Congress.

Compare this with barry's visit on March 28, 2008. When he leaves the economy out of his top three.

Whoopi asks about taking a strong stance on China. Barbara about Iran.

CLINTON: Absolutely. You have to take a strong stance but I think you can be both strong and smart. I think you can be tough and effective. On China for example, we have to figure out how we're going to work with China, but we also can't be patsies. We have allowed them to have much more power over us because we now owe them so much money. Every single day because we've have run these deficits and all this debt, which I think has been very unfortunate because it really weakens our place in the world. So we have to get strong about that. But that means we have to put our own house in order, too.

PART 2 The View

CSPANJUNKIEdotORG.
Talks about Gore. Elisabeth ask about national security. Imminent threat.

CLINTON: Do not condone or conduct torture....Smarter about how to interrogate...

Sherri what would you have Bill Clinton do?

CLINTON: Continue to be a goodwill ambassador around the world....He cannot be a member of the Cabinet.

WALTERS: Who's gonna be first lady?

CLINTON: (Speechless) Give a busy woman a job. It's important for previous presidents to get involved.

WHOOPI wants to know when she is in countries where men don't respect women.

CLINTON: I've been in 82 countries and I've met with the leaders of a lot of countries that are not exactly in the forefront of giving women their rights. And I have never found that to be a problem. I actually think - assuming I'm so fortunate as to be elected - that sends a very strong message to those countries and to those leaders. You cannot expect to have a successful society if you keep half the population in servitude and deny them their rights and keep them out of education and healthcare and important positions and don't give them the respect, even in the home, that they deserve for the hard work they do. So I actually believe that it may take a little adjustment but it's time the world adjusted. Women deserve to be given our rights and responsibility.

CLINTON: It's so great to see how secure and stable the View is. (Laugh)

If only she knew what was coming...Watch how Whoopi treats her...they hug and then Clinton says "thanks, my friend." So what happened that suddenly made Clinton a racist and Whoopi hate her? A campaign against a man who pledged to UNITE! and TRANSCEND RACE!

Effigies: more double standard

October 29, 2008

Palin effigy story finally makes it on MSNBC but only because there was an Obama effigy found hanging at University of Kentucky. And they'll be more as long as Palin's lynched effigy remains suspended in the noose with her hands tied behind her back as "art".
"[University of Kentucky] School President Lee Todd says that he plans to personally apologize to the Obama family on behalf of the university and that he is "personally offended and deeply embarrassed by this disgusting episode."
Why is one effigy more offensive than the other? No, don't give me that pat answer. Two major candidates' human likenesses are being hung from a tree. How is one any less evil than the other? And yet, one gets more outrage than another. Ones racial bias is revealed in what one considers acceptable behavior concerning one race and unacceptable concerning another. It shows once again the double standard between race and gender, with race always winning.
West Hollywood pigs: "If it's a political statement, it's that (McCain's and Palin's) politics are scary to us. This is our palette and this is our venue of expression."
And if it were a different color palette? It wouldn't be a venue of expression protected under the first amendment - it would be a hate crime.

Did I miss barry's campaign asking them to take it down? Did he tell them they should apologize to the Palin family? Just more of the same obamanating: lofty words - no action. Transcender of race! Great Uniter! Man above the Fray! does nothing to stop the attacks on his opponents and keeps shelling out cash for McCain attacks ads. If Obama loses, it will because of the barrage of those ads, not "McCain/Palin racists".
It's the second time an effigy has been found on a college campus recently. Earlier this week, George Fox University in Oregon said it was punishing four students who confessed to hanging a likeness of Obama from a tree.
See AP for rundown of effigies and an inflatable doll. Note that these events took place after the Palin effigy "art" was lynched. And had the Palin effigy been addressed immediately and properly?

So, two universities this week. At one, four kids are punished and the other is extending a personal apology to the Obamas. And after three weeks, Gov Palin's effigy remains hanging from a noose with her hands tied behind her back as an "art" exhibit. Yes. I understand the historical differences and residential property vs school property. NEITHER are right and BOTH should be treated the same.

Gov Palin's effigy has been hanging with a noose around her neck for three weeks with nary a concern by the neighbors or federal investigator until it hit the news. An unsubstantiated threat of "kill him" got national press and even more outrage heaped on McCain. barry did not hesitate to play the race card by announcing the unsubstantiated claim to the entire debate audience. The final debate - ensuring no retraction - as was intended. Has barry made a public apology for his false allegation that can never be unheard? That can never be taken away from the consciousness of the debate audience - potential voters?

Who in their right mind still believes that barry has not used the race card at every and all turns? Who believes that what he did was not intentional? Who can possibly continue to say that his campaign has been the most honorable in history? It will be chronicled to be the most deceitful and deceptively vicious as there has ever been. Mark my words - though it may take longer than six months and may only come to light after barry needed help with that international crisis Biden already knows how he will handle.

And has barry publicly decried Rep Lewis' statement that admittedly so angered barry's own camp? Where was Jesse, jr's comments? Or on Biden's "false tears" during the debate? Typical pick and choose according to political expediency and what most helps barry and what most damages is opponents, with the pro-obama media happily playing along. What about every comment Senator Clinton, her husband and camp (allegedly or not) made? Senator McCain? Governor Palin? And the pro-obama media go on and on how McCain has disgraced and dishonored himself, while peering blindly into the eyes of the messiah, who meanwhile laughs behind the stooges' backs.

Has the pro-obama media forced barry to do what they have hammered McCain/Palin for not doing? How can someone respond to something that was never said? Has the pro-obama media mentioned the one allegation was completely debunked by the Secret Service as: "THAT'S him"? No, of course not. How would it further barry's cause? Just like all the misinterpreted comments made during the primary. Imagine the outrage if the skin colors were reversed. Racial equality in America? And the pro-obama TV personalities, including Whoopi, Mika, Martin, Gergen, Olbermann, Brazile and Behar still don't know that DAVID SINGLETON [I am exercising my first amendment] TOTALLY MADE IT UP. Either for his own personal gain or in cahoots with the Obama campaign - my opinion is the latter.

Would the barry effigies have happened if Palin's effigy had not been given so much press and written off as Halloween "art"?

How do Gov Palin's daughters feel seeing it on TV and hearing the pro-obama media laughing and saying that's where their mom belongs?

How do you think her son feels over in Iraq knowing that no one cared that his mom's likeness was hanging from a noose with her hands tied behind her back and that even after it was brought to the pro-obama media's attention it was allowed to remain?

How do you think her husband and parents feel about it being written off as "art" and touted as a tourist attraction?

Do you think Gov Palin's children feel any less offended or afraid than Malia and Sasha?

Do you really need a study to prove pro-obama media bias exists?

Hasselback finally gets to speak to a non-hostile crowd

October 26, 2008
Tampa, Florida

Elisabeth Hasselback got to speak without being personally attacked...for once. She is verbally assaulted every single day at her place of employment, not only by her co-hosts, the audience and production crew, but also by the show's creator and once well-respected journalist. And worse, to prove the utter classlessness of barry supporters, some of the guests snub her without having the 'decency' to make it look accidental. All the while Barbara Walters does nothing to stop it. The ones who snub Elisabeth are people who think that barry VOTED AGAINST Iraq or at least had a say. HE DIDN'T. And what he claims he said (there are no recordings of any sort) was, in typical obamanating fashion, not followed by action action.

Why do people think that is suddenly going to change at 12:01 on January 21, 2009? As Dr Phil is wont to say: the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. barry's past behavior reveals not one instance where has he stood up and made an independent critical decision with consequences. If anyone can give me an example, please enlighten me, and I will retract my statements. I am not worried this will happen - it's an impossibility.

Hannity, FOX TV and Howard Stern interviewed people on the street and asked if they could describe anything barry had done. All they could come up with was CHANGE! And Stern's interviewees were asked if they were ok with barry's choice of Sarah Palin for VP. The answer? Yes.

What is the definition of work place harassment? Does it not include what the Viewbots are doing everyday to Elisabeth? They dismiss her, make her feel less than and stupid (aka blonde), call her names, sigh and make faces, vehemently challenge her personal views and ridicule barry's opponent, John McCain, and their fellow working mother, Governor Palin.

Who in the hell is Barbara Walters anymore? Where has the hard-hitting, objective journalist gone? She's an embarrassment to women everywhere. Her "entertainment" show has been reduced to cattiness and one-sided piling-on attacks on the youngest member of the group. (Hasselback 31, Shepherd 41, Goldberg 52, Behar 66, Walters 79)

Elisabeth has ONE vote. Is it worth destroying her - in public for all the entire world to see - for one vote? Just like the bots did to Joe the Plumber. I'm embarrassed watching these women. They're a pack of nasty-mouthed cougars circling the youngest member of the herd waiting to completely tear her apart. They've already sunk their teeth into her neck.

Forget Elisabeth's politics for a moment. Which member of the group has the courage to stand up for her beliefs without belittling her fellow cohosts? Where is Walters' integrity as the producer/originator of the show? As the senior member of the group and someone who understands the technique and personal restraint of interviewing and cohosting, she should understand what she is doing. She should be objective enough to see that the aggressiveness, which she is sanctioning, is reflecting poorly on her and her fellow jackals.

It must be, as Joy pointed out to O'Reilly, because the show has been getting a lot of press. Why bother with respect and kindness when their lack leads to increased fame, ratings and money.

Why doesn't Barbara care that one of her employees endures daily harassment by her coworkers? Coworkers who are supposedly her equals? Can you imagine this happening in another workplace?

It seems this went the way of a rant. Anyway. Elisabeth sounded off on the diversion from Biden's monumentally stupid (but honest and something he said during the debate) comment by discussing Palin's wardrobe.

HASSELBACK: "Instead of the issues, THEY are focused, fixated, on her wardrobe. Now with everything going on in the world it seems a little but odd. Let me tell you, this is deliberately sexist..I have a hard time not being sassy...I'm actually, personally, most impressed by her accessories - like the flag pin she wears in honor of her son and our military men and women fighting abroad. And they fight for our very right to be here today in her support. Now, they didn't list that accessory and it's value in their reports, did they? You know why? Because they know it's priceless!"

Palin initially said it was ridiculous but then launched into an explanation. I wonder if there is some truth to the democratic driven "I've heard from a person close to the campaign" story of Palin going rogue. She's a maverick, a hunter from a wilderness state and a beautiful woman who is being attacked about her appearance. What in the hell else would you expect?

PALIN: "Those clothes, they are not my property. Just like the lighting and the staging and everything else that the RNC purchased, I'm not taking them with me."

Then she mentioned her clothes from a consignment shop in Alaska, earrings from her Yupik Eskimo mother-in-law, her $35 wedding ring (that she bought herself) and her blue star mom pin she wears "in honor of my son who is fighting over in Iraq right now defending all of you."

And the final zinger: "Barack Obama and I, we both have spent quite some time on the basketball court, but where I come from, you have to win the game before you start cutting down the nets."

Read here for her running mate's comments on barry's premature inauguration speech.

The Viewbots attack Hasselback...again

October 22, 2008 (Video)
The Viewbots at it again 4 on 1

Behar discussing the fact that obama went back on his promise to take public finance, which he had no intention of taking. He saw how much money was needed to beat Sen Clinton. He raised and used during the primaries.

BEHAR: I know how there is a lot of conversation about how Obama said he would take public financing and then he changed his mind and he isn't. Now they're all throwing this at him. So he has raised millions and millions.

Hasselback: $800M almost.

BEHAR: - $800M, which is what he needs to beat the Republican attack machine.

Hasselback (gets cut off)

BEHAR; He does, he does. And the fact that he is African American and he has a lot of obstacles to overcome.

[What obstacles? The fawning? The proObama media bias? The 800M? He used half of it to buy his coronation. The outspending his opponents 4:1? The staff of 2500 and 300 foreign advisors? White guilt? 99% of the black vote? Behar's rude mouth?]

BEHAR: He needs that money. So John McCain is now ticked off-his campaign's ticked off because 'he (obama) said he would take public financing.

Hasselback: It's about principle.

[And integrity and transparency and judgment and all that other crap he spouts.]

BEHAR; Really? So if McCain got the $700 million, (mockingly) would he give it back?

Hasselback:
You know what? I think John McCain is a man of his word and a man of honor.

(Audience and Whoopi tsk and moan. Behar makes a two-year-old face and Sherri laughs.)

Hasselback: This is a man of honor. They looked at one another and agreed to do this. Senator Obama- I said this before - when he ran for senate, promised people to lower taxes. He did everything but that.

WHOOPI: Yes, that's right. (nods to camera)

Hasselback
: He spent three--

BEHAR: A man of honor doesn't say "I agree 90% of the time with George Bush and now I don't agree with him." That is not a man of honor.

That is an enlightened man. Why else is he running for president? Behar has a sliver's grasp of fact - like most bots. They cannot promote obama alone - they center their argument on attacking his opponents and his opponent's supporters. They represent their man of judgment and integrity who is taking the high road. Behar talks about honor and daily attacks her cohost without knowledge of the facts. Obama has voted 98% of the time with his party. Where is the bipartisanism that McCain has proven?

I don't think I have to keep documenting The View's pro-Obama media bias. They make me angry. Elisabeth gave up and pointed to her "AMERICAIN" T-shirt. You go girl!

RANT of the day: "Kill him"

October 16, 2008
Third (and final) Debate

Barry mentions the alleged comments: "terrorist" & "kill him" in the debate but the chant of "kill him" had not been substantiated by anyone - including the Secret Service agents in attendance. But barry told the whole nation that it happened. Barry: "In which all the public reports indicated (aka nothing was confirmed) were shouting when my name came up things like: 'terrorist' and 'kill him'. How can you say that to 60 million people or whatever when it has not officially been vetted? It can never be unsaid. It's just a variation on the race card. barry's campaign can't get any scummier. For mentioning Ayers - a very real concern except to the probarry propaganda outlets - McCain was compared to George Wallace and Birmingham bomb of the church that killed four young girls. How more vile does it get? Even a man who served our country, without being drafted and held hostage for 5 years, can be called a racist. It's absolutely disgusting and beyond irresponsible.
October 11, 2008
Rep Lewis: "George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama."
Do y0u know that Condelezza Rice actually knew the girls?

And Joy Behar repeated the same thing on The View yesterday...that someone had yelled: "Kill him." and Gov Palin said nothing. What can she say if nothing was ever said? How many people watch The View? And what else would the media write? They're in a full court press to hide Ayers, Obama's fundraising, his birth certificate, ACORN, what the Mrs and Rev Jesse Jackson Sr said and who knows when Wright is going to bust free. Only Rezko is safe until after the election, though Blagojevich is getting in on the barry bashing...before he joins Ryan up in Oxford.

I can't wait till this election is over. It's a fraud. Imagine if barry loses? McCain can never "win" just like SHRC couldn't. It will be because the racists won't vote for barry. Anyone else tired of this crap? barry has yet to set the black community straight on "The Clintons". That's another rant...

The Viewbots attacks Hasselback...again

October 6, 2008
The View
Barbara Walters (79), Whoopi Goldberg (52), Sherri Shepherd (41), Hasselback (31)
All three gang up on Elisabeth Hasselback and Whoopi shows she doesn't even know anything about Ayers but rages at Elisabeth anyway. Barbara Walters has lost complete credibility as a journalist and she has no respect for her co-host. She went tabloid, exposing her relationship with a black senator decades ago. Wonder how much of the audience is turned off like Oprah's (54) audience. She's been awfully quiet since her ratings dropped.

Why does everyone feel the need to so angrily attack the non-mesmerized. That is what has turned me off the most about barry. The bots are vicious - even someone as old and (once) respected Walters.

Sexist quote of the day: "She's a bimbo."

September 30, 2008
The View
Bill Maher, noted misogynist who wants to have sex with a new woman everyday...and the women? Seems sex sells because he has to buy it. For the record: he is ugly - visually and everywhere else, including his views and words.

Bimbo: "an attractive but empty-headed young woman, esp. one perceived as a willing sex object." I didn't realize that was a synonym for governor.

Sexist quote of the day: 'They've nominated a complete bimbo."

September 30, 2008
The View
Bill Maher

MAHER: She must have thought it was a cooking segment....I've seen her twice try to speak. The sentence to nowhere. If Joe Biden had made some of the comments she said to Katie Couric, we'd think he had brain damage.

JOY BEHAR: Mentions that Bush was idiotic and Quayle was moronic.

MAHER: Republicans are so cynical. Three times in 20 yrs Bush Quayle and Palin they have nominated a complete bimbo.

Sunday, September 28, 2008

Sexist quote of the day: "All she drinks is Haterade."

DOUBLE STANDARD #1009
Hasselback mentions at a GOP luncheon that Michelle had preconditions and specified which questions could not be asked. How many such interviews has Hillary Clinton been allowed to have? Hasselback: "She didn't come with a list of topics we weren't allowed to touch."
Why the uproar? It's true. And it wouldn't have taken weeks to come out and there wouldn't be outrage - there's be laughs and high fives.

Rolly-polly Martin: "Elizabeth gets her information from Sean "Little ball of Hate Hannity". All she drinks all day is haterade." Then he mentions Whoopi and Sherry about Cindy McCain. He puts it in racial terms. RACE RACE RACE RACE RACE RACE It's ok for them to talk about White American and all the "white racists" (when did racism become color coded?) and yet everything said about michelle/barry obama is race. Race is going to keep barry from winning? It's what got him the nomination.

rollypolly: "WE'RE not surprised about by it. THEIR political views have come out in the open" And Whoppi, Barbara, Sherry and Joy? Is there anyone on this planet who doesn't know who they want or how they gang up on Elisabeth? Rollypolly has absolutely no credibility. How far has anyone come when everything said about Michelle is racist. Ludicrous. And it's ok to call Hillary Clinton a whore, a cunt, a bitch and all sorts of other things and that's not sexism. This race is a joke with a glaring double standard and no one cares.
"Give her the dignity she didn't give Michelle Obama." DIGNITY? Did you hear what I heard? How much dignity has anyone treated Hillary Clinton with? Absolute madness.

"Demand that she make an apology." FOR WHAT? Speaking the truth about a woman who happens to be black or because she's a racist. How will there ever be equality if every remark is thought to be racist? What kind of person likes to be defined like? What kind of integrity does one have? She's white pink brown yellow or anything else and it's a simple comment of truth. If it was Hillary it would be she's a whiny old sow - with absolutely no apology. Race in this race has been ridiculous.

Quote of the day: "A coven of hysterical liberal women who need drool buckets"

Hypocritical outrage about the MSM attack on Governor Palin. Where were they during the primaries? Why just now the outrage? See this video of Republican women finally speaking out now that it's not Sen Clinton. It shows that sexism is conditional and the worst hypocrites are the women in the MSM like Mo Dowdy, Nanci Pelosi, Peg Noonan, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd, Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira, Soledad O'Brien, Gloria Borger, Mika, Donna Brazile, who rants about racist treatment of obama and never once brought up the sexist treatment of Sen Clinton. It shows exactly who those women are. They go along with the boys so they aren't attacked. They are the weakest of all women.

Malkin: "I think that--I think it's very damning that a lot of the working women in the media moms are standing by, sitting by and in some cases facilitating these attacks on Sarah Palin that somehow she's not capable of holding down a job in political life at the same time taking care of her family."

Malkin: "It points to the hypocrisy of the media moms who have young children as young as Sarah Palin's are and have gotten to the top of their careers."

In regards to the different treatment of McCain vs Michell and Barack Obama on 'The View'. Malkin: "You have this coven of hysterical liberal women who need drool buckets when they're around Barack Obama." (3:20)

barry on The View: No taxes < 75K, Economy not in top 3

March 28, 2008
Barry & the viewbots

PART 1 BARBARA SAYS HE'S SEXY

kimktb

PART 2
WRIGHT JUSTIFICATION (says it's ok because he retired) I never heard him say SOME of the things that I know have upset people.

kimktb3of4

PART 3
DOESN'T MENTION THE ECONOMY IN TOP THREE ISSUES

kimktb
PART 4
ELISABETH WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT HER TAXES
SHERRI WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT CAMPAIGN
BARBARA -- FEDERAL HELP FOR PEOPLE LOSING THEIR HOMES
Hillary says it should be a fight. Contentious with our surrogates. media "contributes to the sense of BITTERNESS." Look Senator Clinton is a bright (what you say to a child or underling) dedicated public servant. She was my friend before this contest started and she's gonna be friend after this contest ends. What I'm absolutely convinced of is that once we're all done - the Democrats will come together. That they will have a nominee they can be proud of and is going to work hard on their behalf [THEIR BEHALF?] In the same way that AFTER I BEAT JOHN MCCAIN...

[He just names himself and that the world will be proud of him!]

I trust that I'm gonna be able to---applause and laughter and smug smile--he puts out his hand (1:45) to shut up Elisabeth--Here's what I was gonna say Elisabeth. After I beat John McCain - I am not one who believes the democrats have a monopoly on wisdom. I come from the Land of Lincoln.

[Why does he keep bringing his name in reference to Abraham Lincoln? Ronald Reagan? FDR?]

ELISABETH: What about the economy? (3:13) Talk about taxes. How are you gonna handle taxes?

He makes a joke about him having to pay taxes. "I WANT TO CUT TAXES FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE MAKING THAN 75K A YEAR OR LESS....Those of us who can afford to pay a little more pay a little more - those of us who need more help will pay less.

kimktb

Quote of the day: "The Clinton women - they're tough"

March 28, 2008
Morning Joe discussion of Obama's appearance on The View and HRC's calling for Democrats to unite against McCain.

Video clip courtesy of Teamsugar. It shows Obama discussing Rev Wright.
WALTERS: Were he (wright) still there, would you then have left the church or have said I just can't have anything to do with him?

OBAMA: Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying there at the church.

GEIST: ...not one or two isolated incidents - there is a pattern there. Again he's answering the question the same way he's always answered it.

SCARBOROUGH: Andrea Mitchell came out with a report that the church bulletins were attacking Italians Americans and Jewish Americans. This wright guy did not seem to be a uniter. He was not a guy that preached hope and so there is a disconnect.

SCARBOROUGH:...he (wright) did a eulogy of somebody and even in the eulogy just went on this anti-American tirade again...Hillary Clinton, like Barack Obama, saying the Democratic Party needs to come together
GESIT: Yeah she went out on the stump yesterday and said look you can vote for me or you can vote for Obama -- I'd rather you vote for me - but you sure as hell can't vote for John McCain.
And then a clip of HRC stumping in Fayetteville, North Carolina telling people in no uncertain terms they have to vote Democrat. She was rocking. Check her out.
HRC: Please think through this decision. It is not a wise decision for yourself or your country. She laughs and crowd laughs and applauds. You know, Senator Obama has intense support, I have intense support and that's exciting because people want to be involved. But the differences, and there are, in my view, significant differences between Senator Obama and myself, but those differences pale in comparison to the differences between us and Senator McCain.

***
SCARBOROUGH: I think my girlfriend did very well yesterday. I like that tone.

GEIST to Savannah Guthrie: Yes. You missed this Savannah - he's got a new thing with Hillary Clinton. He's in love.

SCARBOROUGH: I've got a crush on Chelsea and Hillary - the Clinton women - they're tough. They are tough. Some people would be disturbed by it. I just - I like toughness. In a society where most men are wimps - here we have Hillary Clinton who's tough as nails. And it looks like Chelsea is too.
And barry? Limped home after winning 11-in-1-row and needed to be anointed the nominee.

Obama refuses to shake Sen Clinton's hand

(transferred over)
January 31, 2008

Obama refuses to shake Sen Clinton's hand at State of the Union Address and literally turns his back on her. A real man. Sen Kennedy showed what a man and politician he is - even if he didn't reach out to Sen Clinton first. Here's good old Charlie Gibson's voice when he was a staunch supporter of Obama. Really quite funny to go back and listen to people who weren't Obama fans and what they're saying now.

Sen Kennedy had just endorsed Obama on January 28, 2008 and Sen Clinton was the one who went over and shook Sen Kennedy's hand. Say what you will about Sen Clinton - that took some guts and showed what a professional politician she is. It's clear what type of politician/man Obama is from this. And Obama said he would sit down with rogue leaders and doesn't even have the courage or grace to shake his fellow senator's hand.

When questioned on his plane with no American flag,
Obama: I was he was turning away because Claire asked him a question.
Senator McCaskill, delirious and lost in rapture, said:
It was not a snub. I had a ringside seat. It was just one of those "accidents" that happens that was caught on film.
Then why did she call it an "accident". First she said nothing was wrong and then uses accident. She's not a very good liar...it was early in the campaign...I found Whoopi's take interesting. Wonder if she'd have the fortitude to say the same now.

Here's Whoopi's take.
I think he was wrong to turn away. If you are triumphant you don't have to stand on the person's throat. You can be a bigger person.

And Obama still hasn't shown any respect to Sen Clinton or her voters to which is why they aren't too pleased or excited to vote for him. What he doesn't realize is that none of them are actively campaigning for him either. I find it hard to believe he actually wants to get a democrat in the White House because he isn't doing everything he can go recruit voters - especially all 18 M Clinton voters who showed up to vote.

We'll see how much of the youth/black vote show up in November. No matter what - it's the women's vote that will decide this election and it will be Obama's fault - not Sen Clinton's - if they don't vote for him.

When is he going to get this?
