Deutsch: “Hillary being 68 with no problem with a man”

July 29, 2009

Donny Deutsch(bag) continues his sexist parade. It’s clear he has no idea how transparent he is and Tamron Hall is well, Tamron Hall.

After he got done saying that Palin “doesn’t seem to be a complete media whore” he brings up Mo Dowd’s column where she compares Gov Palin to Secretary Clinton.

For the record: there is no one like Hillary Clinton – nor will there ever be. No one – man or woman – is as knowledgeable and prepared as she is – most assuredly not barry. And Clinton runs rings around him as far as presidential bearing. The closest Gov Palin gets to Secretary Clinton is they both have XX chromosomes and both are mothers.

Deutsch’s body language reflects his coarseness. When he talks about both women he makes big gestures in the manner men make pantomiming women with big breasts and of course he has to take on an affected voice. Freud would get a good chuckle.

His take on the two women (his emphasis):

How a few years ago Hillary was seen as [big breast gesture] the paranoid woman, the victim and she was on David Gregory’s Show Meet the Press for an hour as so statesmanly, so in command as Secretary of State and now Palin has taken on the role [affected voice] of the chirpyyou’re doing this to me, you’re doing this to me’.

His theory: (emphasis mine)

I don’t know if that’s a) we need to take somebody down first like we’ve taken Hillary down over the years, before we get her up. Or the difference between one woman who is qualified and one woman who is completely unqualified. And Maureen Dowd pointed out that somebody else said that we wouldn’t be talking about her if she looked like Golda Meir.

Throaty growling: Ha-ha-ha.

They never took “Hillary” down and they certainly didn’t “get her up”. They’ve tried to destroy her for over two decades and she has withstood, excelled and prevailed despite their gyne envy and castration anxiety.

About “fantasy politics” and a possible “face off” in 2016: Sarah vs Hillary.

I like that – that would be fun….That would be television.

And then this. I can’t even describe what he meant (emphasis mine):

And it would be interesting to your point – the sexist thing in reverseHillary being 68 with no problem with a man.

WTH?

He continues, thinking he’s solved the mystery to women in politics – they have to be old and haggardly.

Well some people obviously have age issues there. Be interesting to see how it would play. Although when you look at some of the great world leaders – the Gold Meirs, the Margaret Thatchers that maybe that’s what a woman [he pokes his index finger forward] needs. Strangely, enough. Interestingly, enough.

Verbatim, folks. The poking gesture perfectly clear also.

Deutsch: “[Palin] doesn’t seem to be a complete media whore”

July 29, 2009

MSNBC continues their fascination with all things Sarah Palin. They talked with bowtie-wearing David Hawkings of CQ Politics, who can offer an opinion when he didn’t even know how many children she has and called Trig Palin a “toddler”.

Some of her fans on the socially conservative right think she should be genuinely taking care of her toddler son who has Down Syndrome and probably some of her detractors on the left [laugh] think she should stay in her house and never be seen in the public eye again.

Donny Deutsch(bag) goes one further. He claps when he reads the poll – only 6% thought she should run for president. Then he says she is going to go into radio because she isn’t ready for TV right now because “it’s too much of a jump”. Then he says:

She doesn’t seem to be a complete media whore.

Like him? Sitting there with his face all aglow speculating what it would be like if barry wore tight jeans and smiling at Mika “Mommy” Brzezinski?

His next installment: “Hillary being 68 with no problem with a man”

Axelrod re: birth certificate issue “silly” & “trite”

July 23, 2009

Updated list of birth certificate posts

Matthews vs Rep Campbell re: Rep Posey’s bill (video)
Matthews & Rudy Giuliani (video/transcription)
Matthews, Dee Dee Myers & Blankley (video)

Hardball was on a full day rant yesterday against the birthers following his Tuesday attack on Rep John Campbell, co-sponsor of Rep Posey’s barry soetoro birth certificate bill. barry’s minions were out full force fighting for face time and Matthews asked David Axelrod what he thought about the birthers in Congress. His answer was revealing.

I can’t help but think of two things when I see Axelrod: Vampire movies and Just for Men hair coloring. Well, then there are all the lies and the fact that he’s a lobbyist and was working as one while barry proclaimed no lobbyists! except for those who work for him…

Video MSNBC – hand-transcribed.

Matthews still doesn’t understand the Constitutional difference between native born and natural born citizen.

MATTHEWS: What do you make of these members of the US Congress, including Senator Shelby, who are out there saying they don’t know whether Barack Obama is legitimate as president – that they don’t know whether he’s a native born American or not?

Axelrod seems to know the question was coming. He smiles [without showing teeth] and spews the usual line of The American People have better things to worry about…Thing is more and more of The American People are not only worried – they’re getting way past frustrated being called wackos and nutjobs for just asking barry to do what he claims he is doing: being transparent.

Axelrod’s body language is always fun to watch. With all the lying he’s done he still gives himself away. His main tells are his head movements and his (Pavarotti) eyebrows, which go up when he’s being deceptive. He shakes and nods the truth when the words are the opposite. He’s not much of a blinker – like Blagojevich – so it’s very meaningful when he does like this interview about Secretary Clinton – he was closing his eyes trying not to think about it. His speech pattern slows and he repeats words and uh, uh, uhs like barry. Watch with the sound off, then on without looking, and then watch and listen while focusing on his facial expressions as he speaks.

AXELROD: Well, [shakes head] I gotta tell you Chris, given the problems we have to deal with in this country, and the struggles that people [eyebrows up] are going through in their daily lives, I would think they would be awfully frustrated [shakes head] that time [eyebrows up] was being wasted on something as, uh, [mini eyebrow] as, as, silly and, uh, [shakes head] uh, trite as that. [Blink]

Interesting how he makes sure to bring in McCain. Listen how he hurries past the words “constitutionally qualified” not pausing to end the sentence so he can get the “issues were resolved” in the same breath.

AXELROD: Uh, I thought [shakes head] we left this behind [eyebrows] when, uh, in the campaign when people were challenging [eyebrows up] both McCain and [nods] Obama over whether they were constitutionally [shakes head] qualified. [no pause] Those issues were resolved [brings hands forward] and it’s a heck [big eyebrows and head movement] of a time to resurface them.

I bet.

That’s another thing that is getting folks truly pist – it’s not “resurfacing”. It never went away and it certainly never got resolved. The media decided to get involved again. The question is why?

So they can say that it got brought up and they took a fresh look at it?

Has anyone heard a member of the barrymedia ask why barry doesn’t just produce it and be done with it?

What is Sarkozy looking at?

June 6, 2009

65th Anniversary of D-Day

sarkosy

And what type of Commander and Chief sits like this unless it’s intentional? He’s surrounded by cameras every day and knows exactly at what angle he is being shot.

(From the G20) The First Lady is oblivious to the camera angle, which catches her exposed inner thigh.

carla and michelle

Here are the boys’ near miss back in April for the G20. Sarkozy has the same fondness for barry as does the American press. And barry…? looks like he’s ready to do what he did to Dr Biden at the convention when he made his “surprise” appearance.

Mr Obama did not appear fazed by getting too close to Mr Sarkozy as the two leaned in for some private words

It’s probably why the First Lady of France chose to just shake barry’s hand.

Whereas the First Lady of America, looks like she’s going to pick up the little gingerbread man and bite his entire head off after she finishes Hannibal Lectoring him.

Please someone teach the First Couple etiquette and protocol and most of all show them what their body language is saying. They seem not to have a clue or interest in getting one. Here they look like Ellie Mae and Jethro.

Imagine if these photos were the first time you were seeing the Obamas. What would you think about the First Couple? How would feel about them representing the US on the world stage?

What do you think Arab countries would think about Mrs Obama, as pictured? Flashing her inner thigh and mannishly grabbing the President of France and literally sucking his face?

And what would the Japanese Prime MinIsiter’s wife feel sitting across from barry who looks like he’s using the presidential commode?

A couple of full length shots:

Michelle obama and carla bruni

Daily Mail

Note the shrinking posture and mannish awkwardness of Mrs Obama’s shoulders, chest, arms and hands. She looks lost and uncomfortable and not on par with the quiet but commanding feminine posture of the first Lady of France. The same quiet posture she had in their seated photo. Here they look fairly similar in size – the patterned dress/jacket flaring at the bottom making Mrs Obama look wider across the middle than she is, especially next to the straight silhouette of the neutral color. Patterns and lively colors look great on Mrs Obama but she has to realize she will be paired up with much smaller women (and male heads of state) and the busyness will just accentuate the difference.

Now go back and look at their seated photo where the lower half of Mrs Obama’s body dominates the picture making her appear twice the size of Ms Bruni. She has to realize where the camera is in comparison to her and the woman she is seated with. She uncrosses her legs puts them together and opens her posture — completely different photo. If she is given the choice should take the seat furthest from the camera. Is someone working with her on these things? Or doesn’t she think she needs it?

Now here’s all four. What do you notice besides Napoleon trying to get even? Look closely.

Sarkozy

Daily Mail

Here’s a prefect example of the problem with busy prints – the flags – which they routinely are photographed in front of. She should always be aware of where the official pictures re going to be taken. Again Ms Bruni is perfect – hard to compete with a model but a good person to learn from because of her height. See leans back from the camera ever so slightly to make herself look less tall. Of course he gives it away as did whoever circled it.

Mrs Obama gets an A for her legs and feet here though she is still too square to the camera. And there’s too much open surrounding her – the stars and stripes competing with the print and tie/scarf. Once again the flaring of the bottom of her jacket could have been pulled together and held with her hand if necessary with her thumb if her hands were like Ms Bruni’s.

But did you see the worst part of the photo?

Look at barry’s suit. He’s in fashion central and his suit is a giant wrinkle. His left trouser looks like corduroy in the inseam and below the knee both are a mess. It was his coming out party and he looked like he slept in clothes.

barry's not so genial private chat with Chavez

April 24, 2009

This is an interesting video clip provided by Venezuelan TV via NewsPoliticsNews.

We’ve seen the three faces of barry. The non-presidential open mouthed smile and shaking of hands, the awkward reaction to Chavez’s gift of a book and now this. The mood and tone is very different here. I found the translator looking at the camera very interesting. It was a look like are you hearing this.

Throughout it barry does the talking and his body language is interesting.

He uses his height to his advantage and makes a point of looking down. He also keeps his hads between them in a protective boxer type movement. They are standing very close together, barry’s hands in Chavez’s space and it ca’t be explained by trying to hear each other since there is a translator present. Chavez speaks more English than he lets on.

Presidential bearing = baring presidential manboobs?

April 22, 2009

Ok. This is disgusting. For a variety of reasons. Most notably because barry did it with the full intent of being photographed. He knew it would get published just like the one in PEOPLE where he was pictured topless - manboobs and all - coming out of the water...he wasn't quite parting the sea yet. He knew full well they were photographing him. He knew it would end up somewhere like it is now. He is not even commenting.

Perhaps the Japanese Ambassador could present him with a manssiere or a bullet-stopping miracle bra.

A shirtless Obama is on the cover of Washingtonian Magazine.

Caption: "Our new neighbor is hot."

Did he think twice about his daughters before he okayed this?

Or was he finding a way to thank Chris Matthews?

It comes down to one thing: decorum. He has none. Nor does Michelle. And neither think they need to acquire some. I wouldn't go so far as to say Elly May and Jethro, as the person did who shall remain nameless. But neither understands the gravity and dignity that must accompany the Office of the Presidency and position of First Lady.

Their lack was well on display during their coming out to the world, as well as throughout the last two years. Here are just a few.

Campaigning (too numerous to count):

Trashed the last Democratic President throughout. "Too busy" to call him. Still refuses to dispel the ridiculous notion that the former President and the former First Lady are racists. This a man who said he was going to transcend race in his politically expedient speech.

Allowed Rep Clyburn (on more than one occasion) to insinuate that former President of the United States is "crazy" and then completely disrespected Mr Clinton by telling him "to chill".

Allowed Rep Lewis to compare Former POW Senator John McCain - both heroes in different wars - to George Wallace.

Soundly criticized President Bush for "campaigning" while he was giving a speech in Israel. Even if he was - he wasn't (just like none of barry opponents were racist and no one yelled "Kill Him!") - Bush was the POTUS representing The American People on the world stage and what barry did was entirely uncouth.

And he has the nerve to whine about what Cheney is doing? How often did barry make fun of what a terrible job President Bush did?

What goes around comes around, especially in Washington.

First trip:

Releasing his Wailing Wall note to the press - before it was "stolen". Then not speaking up.

Taking questions from the French audience like he was a head of state and not merely a candidate, who hadn't even been nominated yet.

REPREHENSIBLE: Chose not to see out brave troop lying in a hospital on foreign soil and then blamed it on the Pentagon and Sen McCain.

Transition:

Ever respectful, barry joked about a genuinely graceful woman well-versed in etiquette: "I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances." Maybe not, but Michelle should watch some of Mrs Reagan's footage as First Lady and learn a few things.

Rudely asked to move into Blair House and then were outraged when they were told no.

POTUS:

Awkwardly shook the Marine's hand who was standing guard by Marine One.

Waved instead of saluting the war veterans he had just awarded the Medal of Honor.

Dismissively and without explanation sent back Churchill's bust, which was given to President Bush as a sign of unity after 911.

Didn't properly welcome Prime Minister Gordon Brown to the White House with the official 2-flag photo op as per protocol. Brown was given a rushed meeting because barry was "tired". Two months in?

Presented the tackiest of gifts: DVD's and Michelle gave the children plastic toy Marine One helicopters.

Official First Lady photograph shows just the side of Mrs Brown's face.

Compares his bowling skills to the Special Olympics and never apologizes or is held accountable.

Second trip:

Refused to visit Normandy Cemetary.

Called the press "foreigners" when he was the foreigner.

Dodged their questions because he wasn't prepared.

Made fun of the female Indian reporter's pride in her Prime Minister.

Bowed to the beast.

Says nothing about North Korea's missile launch.

Who among you thinks barry could have reacted if that was headed at the US? How would he have reacted? Let me talk with Kim Jung-Il?

Third trip:

Shook hands and grinned like a stoner with a tyrant who called our previous president "The Devil".

Smiled and laughed during a 45 minute tirade against the country and the people he is representing - without voicing a single word of rebuttal. 100% inexcusable and has nothing to do with "diplomacy" his naive version or any other.

And through it all he defiantly insists he did nothing wrong and lets his press secretary lie for him. Not just deny - LIE.

Who couldn't see that was a full bow? Pix & Video

And it also demonstrates the media's ongoing pathological love affair. It is the creepiest thing I've ever witnessed and it still hasn't gone sour no matter the gaffes he continues to make. No matter how he panders and no matter how he disrespects our allies and/or The American People.

He is fond of saying "it's not about him".

These last two trips have proven it is all about him and his need for adoration.

==========================

Words from the appropriately named Washingtonian Editor - GARRETT GAFFE: via CNN.

But Garrett Gaffe, editor-at-large for the magazine, told CNN the picture is appropriate because, "our feeling was that this wasn't an ordinary presidency."

"The Obamas, through their involvement in Washington, are helping to showcase just how exciting it is to be in Washington right now" he said. "We use the word 'hot' tongue in cheek with the photo."

"He is a buff president that the paparazzi enjoy taking photos of," said Gaffe.

And he more than obliges them. How many photo shoots has he had in the last two years?

And, of course, when "contacted by CNN, the White House declined to comment on the magazine's cover".

By not commenting, they commented.

Octuplets: Nadya denies plastic surgery (video)

April 17, 2009

Updated list of posts (4-17)

Nadya chatting with her mother. It’s part of the interview where they went after each other. [2-26 body language 1 & 2] Things have not improved as witnessed on the last video with the grandmother. [4-1]

Funny thing is - she makes a face while she denies plastic surgery and it demonstrates just how unnatural her lips and nose are. They don’t follow the planes of the face. Gaining weight makes ones lips swell permanently?

A-Roid: (2-17) press conference (video)

February 17, 2009

Here's the video of his press conference. I'll add the body language later. As I've said before he is a good liar. His *tell* are his lips, left cheek and his voice. He is not much of a blinker, which shows he is a pretty accomplished liar (as far as this) and has justified it in his mind that he has done nothing wrong. He has had plenty of years to do so and hundreds of millions of dollars as incentive to lie.

Madame Secretary 1, Vittner 0

January 16, 2009

Thank you, vyttalimma. I never did get around to the exchange between DC Madam piglet Vitter and Sen Clinton and Mr Chairman. I had transcribed it by hand with body language but Taylor Marsh has the video.

Vitter, like all of them, had reservations about Mr Bill's foundation. They really just want to find out what's in there for them to keep ragging on. Madame Secretary Clinton has been held back by her husband and now when she is clearly more informed than all of them together - they focus on her husband. What did they ask her that she didn't know? Nothing. So the old fall back - Mr Bill.

Vitter wanted more disclosure and asked about conflict of interest. He said Mr Bill hadn't agreed to disclose future foreign contributions to his Global Initiative and she gave an explanation of what barry and Mr Bill agreed on. Something that has been made public and answers were provided ahead of time that he must not have read. Maybe his wife gave him an ultimatum. She looked awfully scary in that picture and appeared taller than him. Surprise. This man has a lot of issues above and beyond simple coarseness.

courtesy of taylor marsh

Madame Secretary Clinton is speaking with her head down, glancing at her papers. When vitter rudely interrupts, she stops and looks up.

CLINTON: But I want to speak for a minute, if I can, about the work that's done, because I think it's important--

Vitter, a fellow senator, a southerner, a prostitute frequenter, a father of three daughters, a husband of a former prosecutor and a Catholic Church Lector, rudely cuts her off. But he has no problem addressing Chairman Kerry with respect.

VITTER: Mr. Chairman [Face flushed, voice quivering, hands palm out like, enough wench!]

[points both hands at himself - he wanted camera time] no objection listening to this.>[lie] But I don't want it to come out of my time, 'cuz I'd like to pursue these questions.

He sits back like, aha, I won. Not even close. He was always going to vote nay and just wanted to stand out. He did. As a classless, rude pig. He lost himself an awful lot of votes with his gyne envy microphallus insecurity. I wonder if his prostitute ever pissed or shat on him. My guess is he liked to be spanked...for good reason. I would like to know what Mr Chairman said afterward. Vitter, besides disrespecting a woman and a colleague - disrespected the Chairman and the proceedings in front of foreign dignitaries.

MR CHAIRMAN (off camera): Well, I guess, I mean, it's fair to say...

Clinton raises her eyebrows, like you've got to be kidding me - this eunuch? She re-centers herself in the chair--showing him he didn't begin to put her in her place--draws in her upper lip--figuratively biting it--rests her forearms on the table--bring it on, this is my domain--and waits for Kerry to handle the useless gnat not worthy of swatting.

KERRY (wide shot of him and piglet) ...that if you ask a question you deserve an answer, and the answer, traditionally, comes out of the time of the senator.

Piglet sits back in his chair and rocks like a kindergartner who has to urinate - or already has - in his diaper.

VITTER: Well, I'm still waiting for an [laughs dismissively] answer. I'd love an answer. [rocking and smirking] But if there's an answer to my question--

KERRY calmly, in control: Well, I think you need to give the senator an opportunity to give you answer the question. And if you need additional time--

Vitter cuts off Kerry, looks away, stops rocking, puts his elbows on the table and gestures with his hands. His face still flushed, he starts in without pardoning himself, addressing her by name or thanking Kerry.

VITTER, dismissively, 35 second question: Let me repeat the question: which is, would you support

[blinks after a wimpy 10 words]

and help produce a new MOU that requires the same sort of disclosure

[Looks down. He couldn't hold her gaze. He looked down. Couldn't sustain for a single sentence. Her look back is what I would have liked to have seen]

for contributions for the Clinton Global Initiative. Under this,

[he points and looks away]

there is no disclosure moving forward for contributions of the Clinton Global Initiative. So, it 's a yes or no. Would you support expanding that disclosure. Admittedly - this is voluntary and it's not required by law - but it seems to be a big exception to the rule of MOU in terms of disclosure.

Clinton then told him the answers were provided and that she would be happy to provide whatever he needed. She answered evenly and calmly and maintained eye contact. Her response lasted the same time as his question. I would love to know if she gave him a second thought once he had his little notice me I'm a senator too tantrum. Most notably he never got his yes or no. He got a polite didn't you read your handout?

Vitted, cowed, still flushed and waving his hands: Well, ok, if you could consider that suggestion. And then he basically asks the same thing, Clinton corrects him and then Me Chairman steps in and says asked and answered. Vitter says he won't vote till it's amended. She says it isn't going to be amended but we'll clarify it. Then he says, I hate to beat a dead horse...

And Madame Secretary responds with a zinger, sealing his nay vote. How else could he save face?

Not only that, there will be ongoing reviews by anything that is brought to the attention of the career professionals.

Blagojevich press conference post impeachment

January 9, 2009

Blagojevich's press conference post impeachment. Have to give it to him.

courtesy of CSPANJUNKIdotORG

Quotes the Golden Rule, documents the programs he's instituted and the folks they have directly affected, his immigrant parents, and the unpassed bill in the House to keep 400 folks from being thrown out of their homes.

His closing. Emphasis added. No need to go into his full body language. See his first press conference. Just his requisite denial of wrongdoing. He moves his body around, his cadence shifts, he hesitates and the blinking starts. He shifts on his feet and hides his hands when he denies wrongdoing. Again, if you just listened to him he would do very well.

Partial transcript from LYNN SWEET.

And so what we are here today to talk about, and what I'm here to talk about, is the fact that I understand [draws his hands in to hide them - literal dirty hands] the House's actions. [gulps] I'm not at all surprised by it. But I took actions [blink-blink-blink] with the advice of lawyers [blink] and experts to [blink-blink-blink] find ways -- creative ways -- to use [blink] the executive authority of a [blinks, nods = convincing himself] governor to get real things done for people who rely on us. And in many cases, the things we did for people have literally saved lives.

I don't believe those are impeachable offenses.

So we're going to move forward and I'm going to continue to fight every step of the way. [Brings his hands in to hide them again] Let me reassert to all of you once more that I am not guilty of any criminal [blink] wrongdoing. [blink] That [blink - points away from himself] issue will be [hesitates = afraid] dealt with on a separate course and in an appropriate forum, [blinks, raises eyebrows = alarm] a federal court. And I'm confident [blink, blink, blink] that at the end of the day I will be, uh, properly [blink], uh, exonerated. [blink-blink - lying over - changing to reality.]

[Speaking noticeably quicker - no need to censor]In the meantime, I have a job to do for the people. They hired me to not just say that I'm for things that could help them, but they hired me to fight for them. And I'm going to fight for them every step of the way because if I didn't fight for them, the results that we've provided for people would not have happened.

...With that, let me close by doing something that I probably won't do much after this, [Why? Impeachment?] but I feel like doing it again since I did it not too long ago. I want to quote another British poet. And I'm inspired by it because it was something that Ted Kennedy talked about in 1980 at the Democratic convention in New York after Jimmy Carter won the nomination.

And I remember seeing that, then I remember going to the library and getting that poem and memorizing it. And it kind of reminds me a little bit about the situation that I'm in, and all the men and women who have supported me and given me a chance to be their governor and given me a chance to be able to fight for families like the ones who are here today and fight families like the one I came from: an immigrant father who was a factory worker and a steel worker who worked 40, 50, 60, 70 hours a week, who sacrificed; a working mom who worked for the Chicago Transit Authority and passed out transfers at the subway stations. They never owned a home. They were all about sacrificing so their kids could have a better life. That's what most parents want for their kids.

There hasn't been a day that's gone by since I've been governor that I haven't thought about my parents, their struggles and their sacrifices, and have tried to fight a system that listens to special interests and lobbyists and puts the burden on all of the troubles in -- in our state on the backs of the hardworking people who are the ones who should be looking to government for help, not the other way around.

And so I'll leave you with this poem by Tennyson [Ulysses], which goes like this:

"though we are not now the strength which in old days

Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;

One equal temper of heroic hearts,

Made weak by time and by fate, but strong in will;

To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."

Quote of the day: "What do you mean by 'my community'?"

December 22, 2008

Hardball

Barnicle, Rev Rivers and Mike Rogers are discussing barry's choice of Rick Warren and the impact on the LGBT community. Where is Keith Boykin hiding? How Warren is a divisive figure politically with his opposition to Prop 8 and the misinformation he promulgated. Rev Rivers thinks it's just a "pseudo-controversy". Listen to the righteous indignation in his voice and how he talks over Mike Rogers. His loud defensiveness and dismissive body language gives him away. He does not like gay folks. Why is there an extra stigma in the black "community" - especially for men? Mr Rogers sits there calmly explaining his position. Really quite remarkable. Kudos. I would have enjoyed watching him handle barama matthews.

courtesy of firedoglake

BARNICLE: What bothers you about Barack Obama inviting Rick Warren?

ROGERS:...In picking Rick Warren, [barry] picked somebody who has basically used gays in the cultural war by attacking gay relationships in the Prop 8 battle. And I think he was a bad choice, not again because of his religious beliefs, but because of his political activity. I think that the community has a right and in fact mandate and a need to stand up and object to theat behavior.

He mentions how Saddleback's website has toned down the previous openly homophobic language -- like Wright's did and barry did after Wright, Pfleger, New Black Panther Party...

BARNICLE: We're already making progress here. Rev Rivers, isn't tolerance a larger issue here than Mr Warren's appearance at the Inauguration?

RIVERS: Oh, absolutely! I think this is basically a pseudo-controversy that's been fabricated by the sorta anti-religious left. [Then he goes a'ranting - loud and angry.]...Anyone that has actually does their homework and researches what Rick in fact does...

BARNICLE: Gene, are you saying that Mr Rogers hasn't done his homework?

RIVERS: Obviously! Listen! Point of fact--

Slaps his hand in his palm (3:30) and talks louder and louder and continues talking over Rogers. Barnicle can't host a show. Eventually he lets Rogers speak but Rivers speaks over him again.

ROGERS: ...where you are forced to come on and defend Rick Warren- the very fact that this argument is happening shows the power if the gay community...

RIVERS (4:11) laughs dismissively, shrugs and turns his head to the right. Power, yeah right...who cares. This sure reveals a lot about him. He goes beyond defending warren and barry - he shows his obvious disdain for the gay community. And he does so freely without any attempt to hide it. I've watched him a lot of times starting when he came out against wright and was pist at barry - but this is the most agitated I've seen him.

Now this is absolutely ridiculous. Barnicle has spent the last two years referring to the African American *community*. They don't listen to their guests and it's clear not even to themselves. Don't they ever get embarrassed by their lunacy?

BARNICLE: Hey, Mr Rogers, let me ask you a question. You just referred in your response to - you used the phrase *my community*. What do you mean by my community? Aren't we all part of the one community in this country? Or ought we not to be part of one community?

RIVERS: Amen!

Amen is right. How many times have we hear Rev Rivers say that white America doesn't understand the black community? That wright isn't so bad because whites just don't understand black churches. And what barry's election is doing for the black community - African American if you like. Why don't these folks listen to themselves?

Rogers then makes his point that the gay community hasn't changed - but Warren has because he was confronted.

RIVERS: Mr Rogers. Listen! Mr Rogers, if YOU are happy and feel better, president-elect Obama, Rick Warrren and myself are happy. It's a great advent experience. If you're feeling better that's a good thing. Issue resolved!

What can you say to this? He interjects himself and puts himself on par with barry and Warren.

ROGERS: I think it is an improvement. What I would like to see, and I'd like to hear you agree with it, is that Rick Warren convenes and sits down, again, behind closed doors, none of the showmanship up on the stage, and trotting everybody out. But sits down with the leadership of our community--the gay leadership--and says I'd like to build a bridge. Sit down with the Human Rights Campaign, sit down with National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Religious Roundtable and show me that your speech is really about reaching out and that it's really about uniting America. And if you can't sit down, and have those meetings with the community, then I think that really shows what you're really about.

Barnicle tries to speak and Rivers cuts him off.

RIVERS: (INDIGNANT!) No. No. No. No. Mr Rogers. Mr Rogers, listen ...

ROGERS: (Calm) Sure.

RIVERS: Uhm, it would be presumptuous of you to suggest that if Reverend Warren doesn't sit down with your particular CREW [He sits forward and shakes his body in a dismissive manner], that somehow that's an act of bad faith. That's a political trick.

Imagine the black community being referred to as a "particular crew". Never happen. Nothing is taken seriously but race.

ROGERS: If Rev Rick Warren is a so-called leader in the evangelical movement who represents the evangelical movement on a national level--

RIVERS: White evangelical.

ROGERS:...certainly it's appropriate for him to sit down with the national leaders of the gay and lesbian movement -- let's not parse the exact phrases-

BARNICLE: We've got to wrap it up there.

RIVERS: We're all happy now! [laughs]

BARNICLE: We're all happy now.

Yeah because they did their bit. What are the chances warren is going to have such a meeting? And what's the likelihood of the proobamedia making sure it happens and Rev Rivers is there?

axelrod's face language

November 24, 2008

axelrod's head has literally gotten larger. Maybe it's the haircut. His hair and eyebrows look a tad Luciano Pavarotti. Anyway he was on This Week with George Stephanopoulos. It's good video evidence of axelrod's transparent prevarication. He covers his voice fairly well because his baseline is monotonous by design. But that's about it. Watch how his head keeps shaking, he doesn't believe a word of it. Take note also of his closing his eyes and shaking his head like a kid pretending not to see. bill burton is the only good liar on this squad. barry's easiest of all.

This Week (transcript & video)
STEPHANOPOULOS The other big appointment on track, of course, is Senator Hillary Clinton to be secretary of state...

AXELROD:...People need to understand one thing. There's one person who's going to be in charge of American foreign policy, and there's one person who's going to be in charge of American economic policy. And that's Barack Obama.

He's going to set the direction, and he's going to assemble a group of talented and brilliant people to help execute that vision. So, and certainly Senator Clinton, should she be selected, fits that category of brilliance and ability. [fits the category not 'she is'] And he is assembling the best possible team to move this country forward, but he will set the direction.

STEPHANOPOULOS:...Will Secretary of State Clinton, if, indeed, she is nominated and confirmed, have the full backing of the president? And will she have a direct line to the White House?

AXELROD: I think it's fair to say that all of these appointees will [shakes head - no] have the full [blink - lie] backing of the president, that's why [blink, sticks tongue forward - lie], uh, he's selecting them,"The one thing I can tell you from working for six years with uh, barack obama, that he is [blinks - lie] someone who inv-uh, invites [look of concern, shakes head], uh, uh, strong [licks lip, blinks - lie] uh, uh opinions. [shaking head.] He, he, uh, he enjoys [microsmile] that. He [eye twitch] he-he [like his shaking head] thinks it's an important [furrowed eyebrows] element of leadership. And, uh, I think they'll [right eye twitches], uh [closes his eyes - oh no he doesn't], that he'll have a great [eye twitch] working relationship [shaking his head you know Hillary's coming] with his Secretary [flares nostrils in disgust] of State [right eye twitches] ] and Secretary of the Treasury and his entire cabinet. They are not [blinks - lie] going to be potted plants in their [eyebrows worried] departments. They are going to be partners with him [Inclines his head and makes quote marks with his eyes - in name only.] in governance and he is going to [shakes head] encourage that. And I'm sure [head shaking] that that's the message that he's given to everyone he's spoken to about potential positions in the administration.

Oh no he isn't. They're all lined up like little soldiers ready to be launched onto the train tracks one by one until it's just axelrod. Why Rahm Emanuel had to think for a while....jump ship now or get thrown overboard later?
