Know that in reference to “parading our pride” only 2% more black folks came out to vote for the first black president and close to 8 million (1/3 of all eligible black voters) couldn't be bothered to register to vote. It was the white and Hispanic vote - Senator Clinton's demographic - that gave barry the win. And as far as the "Bradley Effect" that does not exist? More people voted for barry than polled.

There's been an e-mail going around advising black folks on unacceptable behavior now that Obama has won. We at The Root thought we'd add a few tips of our own.

1. No Negro spirituals or quotes from Dr. King. John Hope Franklin can get away with this. The rest of us cannot.

2. Don't go up to every "redneck-y" looking person and gloat. "It hurts don't it? It burrrrnnss!" Dave Chappelle warned us about parading our pride too much.

3. Don't corner your white coworkers to give them a tutorial on black culture just because "the president is black and it's 'bout time y'all learn!"

4. Don't go to your local DMV, post office or other government office and try to jump the line, talkin' 'bout, "Barack's got my back."

5. Do not promise to name your first child after Barack Obama. We've come far, but Barack Obama Jackson does not have as much of a ring to it as you think.

And this is the white version written by two white men CHRISTOPHER BEAM & CHRIS WILSON. Number two is interesting in its interpretation.

Black people aren't the only ones worried about embarrassing themselves now that Obama is president-elect. Here are a few pointers for white people.

1. Don't personally congratulate all your black friends.
Black people are not a sports team, and Obama did not win the Super Bowl.

2. Don't declare that you "never thought you'd see the day."
You never thought you'd see the day?

3. Don't start crossing the street in order to walk next to a black person.
President Obama is glad you support racial reconciliation, but he takes a hard line against jaywalking.

4. Don't name drop "Dr. King."
If you absolutely must make some comment about how this is a victory for civil rights, pick a marginally less obvious figurehead.

5. Don't use the phrase "white people" in any way that suggests it doesn't include you.

Ageism code words: "Erratic" & "out of touch"

Obama ad: Our financial system in turmoil and John McCain? Erratic in a crisis. Out of touch on the economy.

It's ok to paint his opponents as a doddering old man and a racist bitch (and much worse) who complains about clearly irrefutable sexism perpetrated by his camp, which includes the DNC & MSM. Ageism and sexism are ok. But anything and everything said against barry is either overtly racist or racist code words. When I write my book it will be called: "The Double Standard."

Michelle Obama's America

Here is Michelle Obama's view of America, the country she is for the first time in her life proud of. There's no doubting what she means or how she says it. This is the potential First Lady of the United States talking derogatorily about "that's America". The same America that nominated her husband. The same America that has him ahead in the polls. The same America where 8 million eligible black voters haven't found the time to register to vote to elect the first black man president of the United States of that same America, but threaten to riot if he isn't elected. The same America that will be called racist for not having voted in her husband. This is what she thinks of America after her husband teleprompted a speech on racial tolerance. A man who runs on unity, but uses the race card as his primary tactic.

I ask you has anyone ever heard him say, even once, hey I'm half-white, let's get passed this? Or remember the speech I gave where I equated my 86-year-old typical white person grandmother who raised, housed, fed and loved me to a hateful raging anti-American anti-White man who thinks Jews and Italians are inferior and that the government invented AIDS and were responsible for 9-11? The man who Obama allowed to remain an adviser in his official presidential campaign after he raged at his Christmas service that (the Former First Lady) "Hillary ain't never been called no Nigger"!?

For the record: Obama was at that service. Why else didn't the Secret Service say he wasn't?

Make sure to listen to the little disgusted laugh at the end. It's perfectly clear what she means. Just like: "As a black man, Barack can get shot going to the gas station."

As a first generation Polish-American living in Chicago, I am amazed at the racial double standard and what the Obama's have gotten away. What the press has allowed him to get away with. What is this white guilt about? I refuse to be labeled "White American" and be seen as a racist because of the color of my skin. How is this any different? Why does not anyone see this? How is this equality?

My good friend rolly-polly martin is at again! Look at his pix - doesn't he look like he like he needs an enema or farting or sitting on the toilet? How big is the bottom half of him? His head keeps getting bigger like a giant pencil eraser. He actually said once that because he's black people ask him if he plays football. Sumo wrestling maybe. Now he's going off on the "old man". He has a gigantic fit when he thinks somebody's attacking BO with any type of racist slur but has no problem using ageist or sexist code words. Acceptable because the "old man" is white just like Gov "Caribou Barbie" Palin and Senator "IT" Clinton. Why not Barack "monkey-faced" Obama? He at least would be referred to as an animate being instead of a plastic doll and non-person. Oh Dear God the NAACP is already at my door! Call the free speech police! Hurry!!!

Back to rolly-polly. Here's a few of his words. Why isn't he ranting at the 8 million eligible black voters that haven't bothered to register? Easier to rant than get his fat ass moving. That pix cracks me up! Maybe he's trying not to vomit his acceptable whites are racists rants because his ancestors were slaves. Well rolly-polly my grandfather was an abducted "ship boy" chained to a post on his journey to America when he wasn't cleaning vomit and shit off the decks or helping "bury" dead babies at sea. He didn't go through Ellis Island either and his name was " boy". He was stolen when he was five and can't remember what his real name was or what his parents looked like or if he had siblings. He thinks he's Scottish but has no way of knowing. My grandmother was given to a rich family as their servant because "No Irish need apply". So needless to say I don't have any white guilt and my ancestors had nothing to do with yours. My grandparents chose to cut themselves free from the chains of bondage like most American immigrants. And like BO my family had nothing to do with the plight of the Oppressed Southern Negro. BO is a descendant of slaveowners not slaves which seems to escape the press and black community. It seems one color fits all, Identity politics?

BO's father was polygamist who abandoned BO for another white woman. He wasn't even an immigrant and was never an American citizen. (Is BO an American or Indonesian citizen?) He was for lack of a better term a sperm donor who was glorified in a book of mythology written by a kid he met once. And how much did BO write about the white family who raised him? Stories of their supposed typical white person racism. Nobody in Hawaii that his grandmother worked with believed what he said about her and comparing her to GODDAM AMERICA the US of KKK A the government created AIDS so the chickens can come home to roost and kill 3000 Americans was totally filthy. Hawaii was prejudiced against haoles when he grew up. No whites held office. The state was 2 y/o. Interracial marriage was legal and it was not out of the ordinary to be biracial. Hawaii was the most integrated diverse state in the nation. BO wasn't at his mother's side when she died but he had no problem using her for a healthcare commercial or announcing he was on foodstamps when he was being labelled elitist by those bitter folks. Non cult members see BO for who he is and he's no messiah except in his mind and the liberal media's minds who will do anything to champion the advancement of a Colored Person as in NAACP.

I'm enjoying this rant because no matter what I say I am already a racist because I am part of "White America" but I guess I should include something objective or Mattie's gonna have my ass. We heard nothing about race on his world tour but hear plenty when he's close in the polls. It's getting tired. He's the democratic nominee. He loses it's his fault not the bitter racists clinging to their guns and religion who liked Hillary because she actually talked to them instead of showing up so she could preside over them like the messiah.)

Alma's ranting on race...again

CNN's Campbell Brown's at it again. Not very inspiring. She never brings up anything original and now she's back to the race question. Notice how this was not a problem when he was touring the world? They ragged at SHRC voters for being racists and now they are seeing real racists. It's why a percentage of SHRC voter's are still angry. And barry better address the black community soon about the Clintons because he's going to need every last vote...especially with the voter fraud being uncovered.
Alma Campbell Brown:

There are a few things worth considering here. In a recent CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll, 37 percent of Americans said that race will be a factor in how they vote. Now, what exactly does that mean?

She doesn't say whether it is a positive or negative factor. Ours is not a scientific poll but more answered that gender than race was a negative factor (13-4% with 80% no factor) and that America is less ready for a woman than a black president (55%-11% with 25% ready for neither.)

Here is what Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama himself said about race as a factor to "60 minutes":

Obama: Are there gonna be people who don't vote for me because I'm black? Of course. There are probably African-Americans who are voting for me because I'm black. Or maybe others who are just inspired by the idea of breaking new ground. And so, I think all that's a wash.

Then why doesn't he speak up when the MSM keeps trotting it out? They're now talking about and "Obama factor" - the opposite of the Bradley effect. Meaning they believe that more people will vote for Obama than poll.

And of course, there is an overtly ugly side to all of this and we've talked about it -- blatant acts of race-baiting on the campaign trail. Surrogates of Republican candidate Sen. John McCain have introduced Obama by using his middle name, Hussein, something the McCain campaign has denounced.

It's only race-baiting when it applies to barry's opponents. This pisses me off. Here's barry's own campaign strategy from his book "Dreams of My Father": "Black politicians less gifted than Harold discovered what white politicians had known for a very long time: that race-baiting could make up for a whole host of limitations."

"A steady attack on the white race, the constant recitation of black people's brutal experience in the country...Yes the whites are responsible for your sorry state, not any inherent flaws in you."

Alma: We've also seen angry reaction by Obama supporters to words they see as code, words that to them have racial undertones, but to others they just don't. There has been an over-reaction by extreme partisans on both sides. Maybe it's unavoidable. But it should not drive the conversation, or dominate the debate.

What does she know about code words? There are racism (here, here, here, and here), sexism (here and under label sexist quote of the day) and ageism (here, here and here) code words. It's just a matter of who's looking and listening and what they want to see and hear.

We've had posts on racial "code words" - but I found a more extensive compilation on American Thinker written by ED LASKY. It seems the list will keep growing as the polls slip or stay even. I read that the word "niggardly" should be removed from the dictionary. It's root word has nothing to do with that other word. But all manner of words: bitch, she-devil, whore, trollop, hitlery, hildebeast, shrew, angry cunt etc. are ok because they're about THAT woman. Try calling Mrs Obama an angry cunt. "Angry" becomes one of those code words when applied to black skin? This world is crazy. Ever watch the Obama fans on TV? They ARE angry. Doesn't matter what color, profession, gender or whatever else. Keith Boykin, Susan Rice, Donna Brazile, Howard Fineman, Jonathan Alter, Roland Martin--never stops screaming, Mark Green went ballistic and the list goes on. All it does is show how weak Barry is and how he can't fight his own battles.

Charlie misogynist Gibson interviews Gov Palin. His condescension oozes over the top of his glasses as he looks down his nose at her. Listen to the intonation of his voice when he says *YOU*. It's barely contained. His socks and shoes make him look like he just stumbled up from the basement to get a beer. Did his button pop off? I couldn't bear to watch. He was bound and determined to make up for the ABC debate where SHRC made barry into a whimpering fool and Chuck Todd had the insanity to say Barry won. If he had - why were there no more?

Hubris can't be used in reference to barry because it's a racial code word for uppity.

He is an old white male unrepentant sexist and goes after Sen Clinton non-stop but now he's an enlightened good ol boy from the south saying the McCain ad with Moses "The One" is code for "uppity". This world has gone mad. Say anything about Obama and it's racist. Or as Herbert says: HE'S BLACK! HE'S BLACK! So what. HE'S A FRAUD! HE'S A FRAUD! Hmm...is fraud a code word? Yet?

Racist code word: "They"

Found this interesting article by White House correspondent for National Review, BYRON YORK, posed on 5-7-08. He went to a stump hosted by Mrs Obama and found a familiar refrain: "THEY". It doesn't take a linguist to figure out who the "THEY" are. Racist?

I took in the Michelle Obama Show this week in Charlotte, N.C.

The wife of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) was in town for an election-eve get-out-the-vote rally, to make sure that Obama voters were fired up and ready to go for Tuesday's primary.

Usually, such events are rah-rah, go-team affairs. But Mrs. Obama's appearance was a little different.

It was an hour-long tale of resentment and anger.

First, she complained at great length that her husband had been treated unfairly in the Democratic presidential race. Every time he made a move forward, she said, "they" — she never spelled out exactly who "they" were — moved the goalposts a bit farther away from him.

First, "they" said he couldn't raise the money necessary to run a big-league campaign.

But "once he proved that he could raise the money, then all of a sudden money didn't matter," Mrs. Obama told the crowd. "Everybody said, 'Well, money isn't important.' "

Then "they" said the test for Obama would be whether he could build a political organization. But "once it was built, they said it's not an organization — the stakes changed again."

Next, "they" said Obama had to win Iowa. But "once he won Iowa, then all of a sudden Iowa was no longer important."

"They" had moved the bar again. This time, Obama had to win a primary state.

"Then we rolled into South Carolina," Mrs. Obama said. "Then you know what they said? They said South Carolina didn't count, because Barack was supposed to win."

Then came Super Tuesday, and after that Obama's stretch of victories in a series of primary and caucus states.

Still, Mrs. Obama complained, "they" tried to undermine her husband every step of the way.

"We've learned that we're still living in a time and in a nation where the bar is set, right?" she said.

"They tell you all you need to do is do these things and you'll get to the bar, so you go about the business of doing those things.

"You start working hard and sacrificing, and you think you're getting closer to the bar, you're working and you're struggling, you get right to that bar, you're reaching out for the bar, and then what happens?

"They raise the bar. Raise the bar. Shift it to the side. Keep it just out of reach.

"And that's just what's been happening in this race."

All the while, the crowd cheered as Mrs. Obama listed one supposed injustice after another.

Now, it should be noted that her husband was, at that moment, on the verge of a blowout victory in North Carolina, one that would spur new calls for his opponent to drop out of the race.

So you might have thought Michelle Obama would be a pretty happy camper.

Instead, you got the sense that she was angry that the Democratic Party did not, at some early point in the race, simply award her husband the nomination by acclamation.

Instead, he had to face an opponent who — get this — really wanted to win it for herself.

Mrs. Obama had lots of other complaints, too.

She's irritated at those people who have suggested that she and Sen. Obama are elitists.

And she appears to be still outraged — at this late date — by the fact that she had to take out loans to attend Princeton and Harvard Law School.

It took her years to pay them back, something she has kvetched about in numerous public appearances.

Imagine that! First she had to borrow money to go to some of the world's most selective and expensive schools — schools whose graduates usually do pretty well in the world — and then they made her pay it back.

There "they" go again.

If you're wondering how that negative message went across in Charlotte, the answer is, it went over very well.

This was as pro-Obama a crowd as you could find in a decidedly pro-Obama state.

So look for Mrs. Obama to continue sending out her message of dissatisfaction and resentment.

She appears to have begun the presidential race in an angry mood, and, despite her husband's extraordinary success, it looks like she'll finish it angry, too.

Sexist quote of the day: "She ought to get out."

Here's a good ol pink-faced sexist from Vermont, Sen Patrick Leahy. Just one of the many Obamafans who raged and ragged at "Hillary" to just get out already. Everyday they did that. What were they afraid of? You don't yell at someone to get out unless you actually believe they can win. Even back then Barry was showing his weaknesses. Anyway Leahy was interviewed by Bob Kinzel on Vermont Public Radio and he let his whiny misogyny fly.

(HOST) Will a protracted battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination hurt the Party's chances of winning the November election?

Senator Patrick Leahy, who supports Obama, says the answer is yes, and he thinks Clinton should drop out of the race. But Clinton's supporters in Vermont have a very different opinion.

VPR's Bob Kinzel reports:

KINZEL: It's a question that's being raised in political discussions on the radio, on TV, in newspapers and in the blogs. And the results of a new poll highlight the danger for the Democrats if their presidential primary contest gets any nastier.

According to a new Gallup poll, 28% of Hillary Clinton's supporters say they'd vote for GOP candidate John McCain if Barack Obama wins the Democratic nomination and 19% of Obama's supporters say they'd vote for McCain if Clinton is the Party's nominee.

Senator Patrick Leahy, who's a super delegate supporting Obama, is clearly worried about this situation:

LEAHY: "I am very concerned. John McCain, who has been making one gaffe after another, is getting a free ride on it because Senator Obama and Senator Clinton have to fight with each other. I think that her criticism is hurting him more than anything John McCain has said. I think that's unfortunate.

KINZEL: Leahy says it's virtually impossible for Clinton to win more elected delegates than Obama, and as a result, he thinks it's time for her to accept defeat:

LEAHY: There is no way that Senator Clinton is going to win enough delegates to get the nomination. She ought to withdraw and she ought to be backing Senator Obama. Now, obviously that's a decision that only she can make. Frankly, I feel that she would have a tremendous career in the Senate.

Frankly, does it get more patronizing than that? And what in the hell kind of career has he had? Never heard of him before this. Never heard of most of those pink-faced old boys who came out bashing Sen Clinton...mostly presidential failures. Whose fault is it that Bush is in the White House? Al Gore & Donna Brazile & Kerry & Edwards. No Bush no Iraq.

KINZEL: Former Governor Madeleine Kunin is the co-chair of the Clinton campaign in Vermont. She thinks Leahy is dead wrong on this issue:

KUNIN: It is premature, to tell her to drop out now is just unfair because it isn't over. Admittedly, it's tough for Senator Clinton to get a majority of the delegates but it's not over till it's over. It seems a bit Patronizing to tell her 'Honey, you know you've got to drop out for the good of the Party.' Sure it's not easy, but I think the process has to go forward as it was designed to go.

KINZEL: And Kunin thinks, in the end, the Democrats will unite behind one of these candidates:

KUNIN: I think both Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton know that what everybody wants in the Democratic party is a winner and some of this is just inevitable. But I think they will unite and I'm confident that judging by the turnout at every Democratic primary which has been unprecedented that Democrats will do very well in November.

KINZEL: It's likely that roughly 800 super delegates will ultimately decide this race. Vermont has 7 super delegates - five are supporting Obama, one is backing Clinton and one person - former governor and now D.N.C. chairman Howard Dean is neutral.

Howard Dean neutral? When did that happen?

The obligatory "statement" from Leahy once someone told him what a sexist he was.

Any clear-eyed (non-hormonal?)appraisal of the campaign at this stage adds up to two conclusions: The bottom line is that, first, Senator Obama continues to hold a lead that appears to be insurmountable (then why the worry?) and recent indications are that more and more unpledged delegates have begun to add their support to his column.

And second, John McCain, who has been making one mistake after another, is getting a free ride on those gaffes, because the Democratic candidates have to focus not on him but on each other.

Senator Casey's endorsement of Senator Obama in Pennsylvania is the latest sign of how the race is going. (Yeah, his teenage daughters told him to endorse Obama.)

A Democratic victory in November is important to the future and to the change in course that the American people want and deserve. The last thing the American people need is for Senator McCain to continue a third term for President Bush.

Senator Clinton has every right, but not a very good reason, (Because she poses a serious threat to Barry?) to remain a candidate for as long as she wants to. (Well, thank you, Mr President.) As far as the delegate count and the interests of a Democratic victory in November go, there is not a very good reason for drawing this out. But as I have said before, that is a decision that only she can make. (And yet you raged on the radio that she ought to get out and she ought to endorse barry.)

Senator Clinton has begun a tremendous career in the Senate, and she has a bright future ahead of her. She faces difficult decisions ahead, and I wish her the best.

He thinks women can't understand: "bright future ahead of her"? Hear of racial "code words"? Well, there are even more sexist "code words" if the outright words and dismissive body language isn't clear enough. "Bright future ahead of her" is what women hear when they're being passed over by a man with little or no experience for the job.
