Dennis Patten's mother Susan to comment on the arrival of her new great-granddaughter, she declined on the grounds that she didn't want to "interfere with my son's business interests.
Lost in all of this are the children: Alfie and Maisie. Alfie didn't even understand how a baby came about and doesn't know how much diapers cost or the meaning of *financially*.
