Octuplets: Allred-Petersen court date changed to July 27th

June 26, 2009

Updated list of octuplet posts

Looks like Gloria Allred — Paul Petersen case requesting a fiduciary guardian for the octuplets has been re-scheduled. I couldn’t find anything on the court calendar but thanks to OCTORAZZI, who is still covering Nadya in depth – here’s the docket update. Allred/Deily filed an amended petition which set the case back.

To Octorazzi from Gloria Allred:

New proposed guardian and new information about the reality show. We did not request an extension. The court continues it when an amended petition is filed.

On May 4, 2009, Gloria Allred and her co-counsel John Deily, on behalf of their client, Paul Petersen, filed a petition requesting that the court appoint a guardian over the estate of Nadya Suleman’s octuplets. The court set a hearing date of June 22, 2009. Ms. Allred and Mr. Deily filed an amended petition in this case on June 8, 2009. The court has now set a new hearing date of July 27, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in Department L-73, 341 The City Drive, Orange, CA 92868. The hearing date of June 22, 2009 has been taken off calendar.

I don’t know what the new info about the reality show is. As far as I last understood it – the show is not a show until somebody picks it up. Right now she has a deal with a production company – not a network. I scanned through Octorazzi’s most recent posts and it appears he doesn’t know either. He mentioned something about Nadya’s book (another post that went missing), which she keeps hyping but it’s unclear as to whether she has signed with a publisher. Octorazzi also mentions some folks meeting with Nadya for hours that could have been related to the reality show. If anyone cares – the grandmother has not been able to sell her house that was in foreclosure. Octorazzi also goes into detail on Radaronline’s fines as a result of the Allred – Petersen complaint. And because of the fines and the investigation, Radaronline has been filming only Nadya so there’s no way to know firsthand visually how her children are doing.

Octuplets: Nadya: “I am not on any government assistance”

May 8, 2009

I really don’t know what to think about this one. Octorazzi is a reliable source of information but it stretches the imagination to believe that Nadya is off all government assistance. I have to wonder if in lieu of suing Kaiser for the employees who illegally accessed her records she got health insurance for all of them. Is she planning on paying back the hospital bill as well?

Where is she getting the cash and what is she doing to get it?

Anyway here’s OCTORAZZI’s report.

NADYA: How can babies make money? I am not doing any reality show and if the babies are accidentally on the film maybe it’s five minutes. There’s no filming for more than like five minutes.

Is this in the future or now? It’s all Radaronline has been doing is filming the kids and for a lot longer than 5 minutes. If she is getting paid for the video footage of her children they are “working”. She can’t qualify for WIC because she’s made too much money

NADYA: I am not in any government assistance. A hundred percent done.

They are off Medi-Cal, they have no Medi-Cal. I’m paying (Insurance) premiums.

I’m paying a hundred percent of everything. Food, formula, everything is outrageous, so everything.

No help, no WIC. No Nothing.

I’d like to ask how many single moms can survive.

People should go give those moms more attention, not me. Because I am doing everything that I’m supposed to do.

I think that’s what makes people angry – that I’m doing everything I’m supposed to do.

Octuplets: Thanks, but no thanks

May 1,2009

Video and transcript provide by Octorazzi (aka Raul Roa). He questions Nadya about her 3 y/o’s injuries and she has a most curious response. Also, he inquires as to the older children’s clothes sizes because someone wanted to donate some new clothing. She refuses the donation right after she talks about how expensive private schooling will be. She also refuses canned food.

How happy do you think the oldest girl would have been with a pretty new dress or skirt to wear to school? Or a cool new pair of jeans and t-shirt she could wear to her friend’s house? Something special just for her like the octuplets have been getting?

And how do you think she would feel knowing mommy said yes to things for her new little sisters and brothers and said no to something new and special just for her?

———————————

OCTORAZZI (RAUL ROA): How’s — doing?

SULEMAN: He’s fine

OCTORAZZI: [Spots him in the backseat.] Oh there he is! The CPS people, did they come for his black eye or his bite marks?

SULEMAN: No, the bite mark. One bite mark. There’s one bite mark. My two year old.

OCTORAZZI: How did the teacher see it? Did she lift his shirt up?

SULEMAN: No, I don’t know. You know when they change them.

OCTORAZZI: Oh, they change them at school?

SULEMAN: And I wrote a note - what happened. It’s mandated by law to report anything like that. So that’s normal. That’s fine. But they were actually surprised at how everything was super super clean…Everything is fine, he missed the bus. (As she points to — in the back seat) So I gotta drive him to school.

OTORAZZI: The police say anything?

SULEMAN: No, not really, they were really nice.

OCTORAZZI: So you think the teacher reported him right?

SULEMAN: I don’t know. Someone. It’s normal, I mean mandated.

OCTORAZZI: Triandie (Child specialist) what does she do for you?

SULEMAN: No, I’m not supposed to talk. She’s really really great though.

OCTORAZZI: Real quick. Is the school expensive for you?

SULEMAN: Majority… I’m gonna have all my kids in private school. The majority of my money that I earn will go to private school, but it’s worth it.

OCTORAZZI: Last quick question. Someone wants to donate clothes for children.

SULEMAN: Oh, they don’t have to do that.

OCTORAZZI: They want to know the sizes.

SULEMAN: The kids (octuplets) are so huge I’m donating already.

OCTORAZZI: No-no-no the older children.

SULEMAN: They don’t need to do that.

OCTORAZZI: To the older childeren?

SULEMAN: I’m actually going to weed through their clothes and donate them. (the clothes)

OCTORAZZI: Canned food or anything?

SULEMAN: No.

Octuplets: Nadya on GMA (4-24)

(4-21) Updated list of octuplet posts

April 27, 2009

Here's Nadya's in home interview with GMA's Chris Cuomo from Friday. It's not substantive. Nadya isn't overwhelmed, the kids are fine, it was a miracle, she has some advice, she's making do with "little opportunities", she's writing a book and plans on going back to school to get her Masters. She still does not get it. The nannies cook, clean and do the laundry.

ABC Video doesn't embed here. Not the entire conversation. Cuomo is obviously not a fan of Nadya's but he didn't prob her financial situation or who is paying for the hospital bill. How much money can a parent make in California and still stay on Medi-Cal?

CHRIS CUOMO:

Are you going through a little bit of that, "Yes, my children are a blessing. But boy, am I in over my head"?

NADYA:

I know I'm going to sound kind of crazy to say this, but no I'm just - every day I'm taking it as it comes. And it`s actually a lot less stressful than I envisioned it to be. Because I'm just focusing on - what takes precedence over anything else is just how healthy they are. They're really, really good babies. They're growing and getting so big and healthy. That's all I focus on.

And the [older] kids are transitioning really well with the babies coming home.

CUOMO:

Any cautionary advice for "people" contemplating the same kind of decision?

NADYA:

Do your research. Do it extensively. Find out everything there is especially in regard to your own personal history because you definitely want to be aware of all the possible side effects or consequences of [laughs] your actions.

Somehow I don't think her eldest daughter thinks the eight consequences are funny.

CUOMO:

Do you feel you need to take responsibility for having so many children?

NADYA:

Oh, yeah. Of course. I never anticipated more than one growing And had I not had extra frozen, I never would have had more than six. I was praying for one more. If one hadn't come, I'd be happy with six.

Notice how when she talks about them they are inanimate - a collection of things. She then gives a tour of the nursery and as she's pointing out the babies says Jonah and Josiah are "identical" so that must be one of the sets. Supposedly 6 were implanted and two embryos split into twins. Jeremiah and Makai may be the other ones.

NADYA:

It's hard to tell between Jonah and Josiah. [the smallest ones #7 & 8 to come home] I can tell by the cleft. That's the only difference.

CUOMO:

With all those other kids you can really keep their names straight that easily?

NADYA:

Yes. Mothers could. I'm not any different than any other mother. [recurring theme] I'm sure all mothers can basically be able to tell the difference between their kids no matter if there's like two or 22.

They're all really big. They don't have any complications yet.

CUOMO: What are you dealing with in terms of volume?

NADYA:

I try not to focus on what's not too important. You just have to do it. I don't really reflect on that kind of stuff. I reflect on what takes priority and that's how healthy they are. I'm just enjoying every moment of the kids and the older kids as well. So I don't really fixate on those kind of things. It's not necessary - extraneous details. You have to take care of it and you don't complain about it. [laughs]

CUOMO:

What's not going to be extraneous for you is paying for this going forward. You know you've gotten a lot of heat for that. Having all these kids and not really having the means to do it. How are you going to handle that?

NADYA:

I'm going to try to secure little opportunities here and there to provide for my kids any way I can that I feel will benefit them.

I'm actually going back to school in the fall to finish my masters. And I'm actually really excited about writing a book. I'm in the process of doing that. So I'm excited about that. That was always a dream of mine before any of this happened - before this miracle happened.

She said in her radaronline video with the grandmother that she had planned on writing a book about raising a child with autism. She talks about her son with autism in her recent radaronline video.

Her comments on the interview to Octorazzi:

I don't watch TV. I don't watch anything that I'm on. I was on Good Morning America I never saw it. I didn't see it, how was that?

When asked to talk about GMA anchor Chris Cuomo's questions:

One thing that I will mention I noticed that everyone tends to have a pattern of always focusing or actually being fixated on the negative and I just have to directed back to positive because that what's it's supposed to be, isn't it?

Her answers are never concrete.

Octuplets: Jeff Czech - Octorazzi Q & A (Part 2)

April 11, 2009

(4-14) Octuplets: Updated list of posts

PART 2 of the Q & A between Nadya lawyer, JEFF CZECH and OCTORAZZI. Listen to Czech’s tone. He truly does not like Gloria Allred - even after she is out of the picture.

CZECH: I think we should start “transparency” at Allred’s house. Did she leave her child home with a babysitter when she went to work/shop.

How much was Dr. Phil’s fundraising check?

CZECH: AIW still has not disclosed the amount of donations. All funds were supposed to go to the babies.

Curious comments. Jonah is the last octuplet in the hospital not Noah. The jacuzzi was initially a donation and then a gift from a friend and now the truth is she bought it herself just like AIW said.

CZECH: Nadya spends a great amount of time with the 7 babies at home and still many hours per week with Noah at the hospital. She has a good staff in place right now.

The jacuzzi tub replaced the old, inoperable one and Nadya paid for it as well as the new appliances (except the donated refrig). All the existing appliances were very run down, especially the dishwasher.

Poor Nadya:

CZECH: Only a few days ago Nadya first saw the Radaronline vids and was able to sit down to read the magazines. She thinks the tabloids have been very unfair with her and they have been. She stated she wants to sue, but that is probably Nadya expressing her frustration.

Nadya expressing financial interest. Here it sounds like he’s begging for a computer. Those older children need a computer more than she needed a tub.

CZECH: She really has no time to look at the computer and still does not have one. She rarely watches t.v.

More lies about the reality show rumors:

CZECH: We do not know where the rumors of a reality show came from. We are open to offers, but no agreements are in place.

This interview was posted on the 9th. UsMagazine interview was posted on the 10th and he said he had spoken with 4 production companies. Follow links.

(4-14) Octuplets: Updated list of posts

April 10th: UsMagazine.com did an interview with Jeff Czech, Nadya’s lawyer. He said that she had met with four production companies (so far) just last week to discuss reality shows and hoped to have a deal in place by the end of this week. Because Jonah #8 just came home. [see update link]

JEFF CZECH: Nadya has been interested in, and hoping to find, something not so intrusive to the family and babies while, at the same time, [something to] sort of focus on trying to make a little income for herself. She got railed again for the kids being on [assistance]. It is heavy on her mind and she is simply looking.

Simply looking but hopes to have something in place by the end of the week. This man is not too sophisticated. Easy for her to manipulate.

What is she looking for?

Production companies have pitched ideas ranging from long-term documentaries to reality-type shows. [They] would like to [do] some light filming now of the infants [now] and then sort of wait until they are starting to walk and learning to talk and things like that. Maybe take some short clips in between but nothing [steady] until [the octuplets are] walking.

Remember - she said she wasn’t going to do anything unless it was a documentary and that it was going to be up to the children.

And what about Nadya?

Cameras could follow Nadya dating, taking the kids to birthday parties, learning how to drive a 14-person van.

So In Touch Weekly may not have been far off in their article. [follow update link - #7 Josiah home]

And the money?

I think she could survive. I don’t know how comfortable it would be on one of these deals. Of course, it depends on how long they last.

Until the sponsor boycotts force them to pull the plug.

***

Nadya on Dr Phil (3-10 Part 2) [follow update link above.]

NADYA: I don’t want anything invasive. A reality show? No way. No way. That’s another misconception.

DR PHIL: So you’re not interested in a reality show?

NADYA: No - it depends on how it’s done. But–when they’re much older. And it’s not up to me - it’s up to the kids.

Octuplets: #8 Jonah is home

April 14, 2009

(4-14) Octuplets: Updated list of posts

Well all eight of the octuplets are home. Yesterday, Nadya drove Jonah home by herself without police escort and was greeted by only two media members. Jeff Czech, her lawyer, Octorazzi (Raul Roa) and radaronline were present as well. Curiously, radaronline didn’t have video of the homecoming nor was Nadya on the front of their web page. The last video I recall seeing was when the grandmother went off and Nadya fled with the children. They’ve probably seen enough.

According to Octorazzi:

When asked about the Radaronline contract, Suleman’s attorney Jeff Czech said there was no particular reason why they had stopped filming and that they would be filming for the next two months. A source familiar with the contract but who did not want to be identified said that Radaronline is not paying for the new interviews and that they did not know for how long they would be filming.

Now that all 8 are home Nadya can prove once and for all that she is interested in a reality show.

Jonah weighed 1lb 8oz at birth and now weigh 4lbs 10oz. He has a cleft lip that will need to be surgically repaired.

Octuplets: Gloria Allred's final comments re: Nadya & AIW

April 10, 2009

(4-8) Octuplets: Updated list of posts

Yes it takes me a while to post these things. Here are more comments from Gloria Allred about allegations Nadya made and some interesting facts I wasn't aware of. Like on the night the first two octuplets went home, Allred showed up at Nadya's house with a check from Dr Phil related fundraising. It was the same day a woman, "Marcella", who described herself as Nadya's nanny, called 911 to have Gloria Allred removed from the house. [3-22 911 call] She wasn't. Nadya didn't want her to leave. Guess we now know why.

Gloria Allred, in her [3-25 statement] said she emailed Dr Phil, who had brokered the deal, on 3-22 saying that under the circumstances AIW could not continue. She didn't mention sending a copy to Czech and I don't know if Dr Phil forwarded him a copy but Czech sent an email to Allred terminating their services.

From "Octorazzi" RAUL ROA:

Jeff Czech (Nadya's lawyer) email to Gloria Allred (AIW's lawyer)

Sunday March 22, 2009, at 1:15 PM

Please advise the nurses at AIW that, effective immediately, Nadya will no longer seek their services....[AIW is] no longer authorized to be in the Suleman home.

A major point of discord was the non-disclosure form that Czech wanted AIW to sign even though Nadya agreed on the Dr Phil Show to complete transparency. [3-10/11 Dr Phil] The conflict started the first night.

Allred said that from the first night the babies came home, Czech "insisted on a non-disclosure form everyone" who worked at the home, contractors, nurses and nannies even though Suleman had signed an agreement while at the Dr. Phil Show that allowed West-Conforti to speak out. "I need your crew to sign these," Allred says Czech told her.

In a March 9 printed email that was sent from Allred's office to Dr. Phil Show producer Wendi Wan, there are signatures purported to be that of Suleman and West-Conforti which states "Linda Conforti shall be entitled to provide information to the public at her discretion as to the children's health, safety and welfare..."

According to Allred, Czech threw copies of the agreement on a table but Allred would not budge. Allred added that Czech then told her "Why don't you ... come drinking with me," presumably to talk about the agreement. And when Allred said she did not drink, Czech said "Then you can't speak to Nadya unless I'm there."

AIW never signed the forms. They stuck to their side of the agreement. And in the next five days, AIW filed 3 complaints with Child Protective Services (CPS), which they are mandated to do - agreement or no agreement. [3-26 Dr Phil part 2] The first was about the unsafe, loud and chaotic homecoming of the first 2 octuplets. Nadya admitted herself that the hospital ragged at her and said they wouldn't send any more home if she planned on doing that. [3-30 morning after video]

The second was a concern over safety, including abduction. Nadya is convinced that meant AIW abducting them. There was the extreme unsafety of the arrival home the first night, a stranger coming to the door at 2-3am that night, two intruders over the next couple of nights and a nanny who walked in without ID. AIW's concern came true when someone took a carseat off her front porch and hurled it through the back window of her vehicle. Evidently she know has some sort of security as there are cameras on the roof. The police are also making frequent drive bys.

The third was possible exposure to Tuberculosis. At least 2 nannies maybe 3 who were there for training had positive skin reactions to TB (ppd) and had not had their chest XRays to clear them. They shouldn't have been in the house period. One reportedly had a cough as well.

Allred contended in her statement that the reports may have been why they decided to terminate AIW. Nadya loses the octuplets, she loses her paycheck. And Allred says the Kaiser nurses and staff will not have to speak out because of doctor-patient confidentiality - which she could waive.

ROA lists some of the crazy things Nadya alleged about AIW, including that they staged the scene with dirty diapers and took pictures. [4-8 AIW scam] Allred relied that there was no need "to set up anything because the situation was already bad."

He continued on mentioning Nadya's belief that AIW was going to abduct the children. [same link]

ALLRED: How many ridiculous things are you going to run by me?

Then they spoke about how they never were able to meet because Czech and Nadya refused to meet with her, Dr. Phil and AIW.

ALLRED: How can you have a team without willing to have a team meeting?

As for Nadya?

ALLRED: A mother can't do long distance mothering from Guess, BEBE or Target.

Final thought:

ALLRED: The first night was a complete disaster, inside and outside the house. It went downhill from there.

And from what I just read on Octorazzi's blog, it is still going downhill. I'll post Czech's side next. This is so sad. Who is watching out for the older kids?
