Deutsch: “[Palin] doesn’t seem to be a complete media whore”

July 29, 2009

MSNBC continues their fascination with all things Sarah Palin. They talked with bowtie-wearing David Hawkings of CQ Politics, who can offer an opinion when he didn’t even know how many children she has and called Trig Palin a “toddler”.

Some of her fans on the socially conservative right think she should be genuinely taking care of her toddler son who has Down Syndrome and probably some of her detractors on the left [laugh] think she should stay in her house and never be seen in the public eye again.

Donny Deutsch(bag) goes one further. He claps when he reads the poll – only 6% thought she should run for president. Then he says she is going to go into radio because she isn’t ready for TV right now because “it’s too much of a jump”. Then he says:

She doesn’t seem to be a complete media whore.

Like him? Sitting there with his face all aglow speculating what it would be like if barry wore tight jeans and smiling at Mika “Mommy” Brzezinski?

PART 2 TRANSCRIPT

Our gas line inducement act, AGIA, that was the game-changer and this is thanks to our outstanding gas line team, and the legislature adopting this law, 58-1. They knew, they know AGIA is the vehicle to drive this monumental energy project and bring everyone to the table, this bipartisan victory, it came from Alaskans working together with free market private sector principles, and now we are on the road to the largest private-sector energy project in the history of America. It is for Alaska’s future, it is for America’s energy independence and it will make us a more peaceful, prosperous and secure nation.

What I promised, we accomplished. “We” meaning state staff, amazing commissioners, great staff assisting them, and conscientious Alaskans outside the bureaucracy – Tom Van Flein, and Meg Stapleton and Kristan Cole, so many others, many volunteers who just stepped up to the challenge as good Alaskans, but nothing, nothing could have succeeded without my right-hand man Kris Perry. She is the sharpest, boldest, hardest-working partner. Kris is my right-hand man and much success is due to Kris.

So much success, and Alaska there is much good in store further down the road, but to reach it we must value and live the optimistic pioneering spirit that made this state proud and free, and we can resist enslavement to big central government that crushes hope and opportunity. Be wary of accepting government largess. It doesn’t come free and often, accepting it takes away everything that is free, melting into Washington’s powerful “care-taking” arms will just suck incentive to work hard and chart our own course right out of us, and that not only contributes to an unstable economy and dizzying national debt, but it does make us less free.

I resisted the stimulus package. I resisted the stimulus package and we have championed earmark reform, slashing earmark requests by 85% to break the cycle of dependency on a stifling, unsustainable federal agenda, and other states should follow this for their and for America’s stability. We don’t have to feel that we must beg an allowance from Washington, except to beg the allowance to be self-determined. See, to be self-sufficient, Alaska must be allowed to develop – to drill and build and climb, to fulfill statehood’s promise. At statehood we knew this. At statehood we knew this, that we are responsible for ourselves and our families and our future, and fifty years later, please let’s not start believing that government is the answer. It can’t make you happy or healthy or wealthy or wise. What can? It is the wisdom of the people and our families and our small businesses, and industrious individuals, and it is God’s grace, helping those who help themselves, and then this allows that very generous voluntary hand up that we’re known for, enthusiastically providing those who need it.

Alaskans will remember that years ago, remember we sported the old bumper sticker that said, “Alaska. We Don’t Give a Darn How They Do It Outside?” Do you remember that? I remember that, and remember it was because we would be different. We’d roll up our sleeves, and we would diligently sow and reap, and we can still do this to carve wealth out of the wilderness and make our living on the water, with strong hands and innovative minds, now with smarter technology. It is what our first people and our parents did. It worked, because they worked. We must be prudent and persistent and press for the people’s right to responsibly develop God-given resources for the maximum benefit of the people.

And we have come so far in just 50 years. We’re no longer a frontier outpost on the periphery of the world’s greatest nation. Now, as a contributor and a securer of America, we can attain our destiny in the promise of our motto “North to the Future.” See, the pressing issue of our time, it’s energy independence, because there is an inherent link between energy and security, and energy and prosperity. Alaska will lead with energy, we will prove you can be both pro-development and pro-environment, because no one loves their clean air and their land and their wildlife and their water more than an Alaskan. We will protect it.

Yes, America must look north to the future for security, for energy independence, for our strategic location on the globe. Alaska is the gate-keeper of the continent.

So, we are here today at a changing of the guard. Now, people who know me, and they know how much I love this state, some still are choosing not to hear why I made the decision to chart a new course to advance the state. And it should be so obvious to you. (indicating heckler) It is because I love Alaska this much, sir (at heckler) that I feel it is my duty to avoid the unproductive, typical, politics as usual, lame duck session in one’s last year in office. How does that benefit you? No, with this decision now, I will be able to fight even harder for you, for what is right, for truth. And I have never felt like you need a title to do that.

So, as we all move forward together, let’s vow to keep championing Alaska, to advocate responsible development, and smaller government, and freedom, and when I took the oath to serve you, I promised…remember I promised to steadfastly and doggedly guard the interests of this great state like that grizzly guards her cubs, as a mother naturally guards her own. And I will keep that vow wherever the road may lead. Todd and I, and Track, Bristol, Tripp, Willow, Piper, Trig…I think I got ‘em all. We will forever be so grateful for the honor of our lifetime to have served you. Our whole big diverse full and fun family, we all thank you and I am very very blessed to have had their support all along, for Todd’s support. I am thankful too. I have been blessed to have been raised in this last frontier. Thank you for our home, Mom and Dad, because in Alaska it is not an easy living, but it is a good living, and here it is impossible to lose your way. Wherever the road may lead you, we have that steadying great north star to guide us home.

So let’s all enjoy the ride, and I thank you Alaska, and God bless Alaska and God bless America.

PART 1 TRANSCRIPT

What an absolutely beautiful day it is, and it is my honor to speak to all Alaskans, to our Alaskan family this last time as your governor. And it is always great to be in Fairbanks. The rugged rugged hardy people that live up here and some of the most patriotic people whom you will ever know live here, and one thing that you are known for is your steadfast support of our military community up here and I thank you for that and thank you United States military for protecting the greatest nation on Earth. Together we stand.

And getting up here I say it is the best road trip in America soaring through nature’s finest show. Denali, the great one, soaring under the midnight sun. And then the extremes. In the winter time it’s the frozen road that is competing with the view of ice fogged frigid beauty, the cold though, doesn’t it split the Cheechakos from the Sourdoughs? And then in the summertime such extreme summertime about a hundred and fifty degrees hotter than just some months ago, than just some months from now, with fireweed blooming along the frost heaves and merciless rivers that are rushing and carving and reminding us that here, Mother Nature wins. It is as throughout all Alaska that big wild good life teeming along the road that is north to the future. That is what we get to see every day. Now what the rest of America gets to see along with us is in this last frontier there is hope and opportunity and there is country pride.

And it is our men and women in uniform securing it, and we are facing tough challenges in America with some seeming to just be Hell bent maybe on tearing down our nation, perpetuating some pessimism, and suggesting American apologetics, suggesting perhaps that our best days were yesterdays. But as other people have asked, “How can that pessimism be, when proof of our greatness, our pride today is that we produce the great proud volunteers who sacrifice everything for country?” Now this week alone, Sean Parnell and I we’re on the, um, on Ft. Rich the base there, the army chapel, and we heard the last roll call, and the sounding of Taps for three very brave, very young Alaskan soldiers who just gave their all for all of us. Together we do stand with gratitude for our troops who protect all of our cherished freedoms, including our freedom of speech which, par for the course, I’m going to exercise.

And first, some straight talk for some, just some in the media because another right protected for all of us is freedom of the press, and you all have such important jobs reporting facts and informing the electorate, and exerting power to influence. You represent what could and should be a respected honest profession that could and should be the cornerstone of our democracy. Democracy depends on you, and that is why, that’s why our troops are willing to die for you. So, how ’bout in honor of the American soldier, ya quite makin’ things up. And don’t underestimate the wisdom of the people, and one other thing for the media, our new governor has a very nice family too, so leave his kids alone.

OK, today is a beautiful day and today as we swear in Sean Parnell, no one will be happier than I to witness by God’s grace Alaskans with strength of character advancing our beloved state. Sean has that. Craig Campbell has that. I remember on that December day, we took the oath to uphold our state constitution, and it was written right here in Fairbanks by very wise pioneers. We shared the vision for government that they ground in that document. Our founders wrote “all political power is inherent in the people. All government originates with the people. It’s founded upon their will only and it’s instituted for the good of the people as a whole.” Their remarkably succinct words guided us in all of our efforts in serving you and putting you first, and we have done our best to fulfill promises that I made on Alaska Day, 2005, when I first asked for the honor of serving you.

Remember then, our state so desired and so deserved ethics reform. We promised it, and now it is the law. Ironically, it needs additional reform to stop blatant abuse from partisan operatives, and I hope the lawmakers will continue that reform. We promised that you would finally see a fair return on your Alaskan owned natural resources so we build a new oil and gas appraisal system, an is an equitable formula to usher in a new era of competition and transparency and protection for Alaskans and the producers. ACES incentivizes new exploration and it’s the exploration that is our future. It opens up oil basins and it ensures that the people will never be taken advantage of again. Don’t forget Alaskans you are the resource owners per our constitution and that’s why for instance last year when oil prices soared and state coffers swelled, but you were smacked with high energy prices, we sent you the energy rebate. See, it’s your money and I’ve always believed that you know how to better spend it than government can spend it.

I promised that we would protect this beautiful environment while safely and ethically developing resources, and we did. We built the Petroleum Oversight Office and a sub-cabinet to study climate conditions. And I promised I’d govern with fiscal restraint, so to not immorally burden futre generations. And we did…we slowed the rate of government growth and I vetoed hundreds of millions of dollars of excess and wtih lawmakers we saved billions for the future.

I promsed that we’d lead the charge to forward funding education, and hold schools accountable, and improve opportunities for special needs students and elevate vo-tech training and we paid down pension debt.

I promised that we would manage our fish and wildlife for abundance, and that we would defend the constitution, and we have, though outside special interest groups they still just don’t get it on this one. Let me tell you, Alaskans really need to stick together on this with new leadership in this area especially, encouraging new leadership… got to stiffen your spine to do what’s right for Alaska when the pressure mounts, because you’re going to see anti-hunting, anti-second amendment circuses from Hollywood and here’s how they do it. They use these delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlets, they use Alaska as a fundraising tool for their anti-second amendment causes. Stand strong, and remind them patriots will protect our guaranteed, individual right to bear arms, and by the way, Hollywood needs to know, we eat, therefore we hunt.

I promised energy solutions and we have, we have a plan calling for 50% of our electricity generated by renewable resources and we can now insist that those who hold the leases to develop our resources that they do so now on Alaska’s terms. So now finally after decades of just talk, finally we’re seeing oil and gas drilling up there at Point Thompson. And I promised that we would get a natural gas pipeline underway and we did. Since I was a little kid growing up here, I remember the discussions, especially the political discussions just talking about and hoping for and dreaming of commercializing our clean, abundant, needed natural gas.

Gov Palin: “I am not a quitter”

Official Dem Party blogger alters Trig Palin’s face as “joke”

Gov Palin’s Facebook:

How sad that Washington and the media will never understand it’s about country. And though it’s honorable for countless others to leave their positions for a higher calling, and without finishing a term, of course we know by now, for some reason a different standard applies to decisions I make.

Gov Palin to CNN:

I am not a quitter. I am a fighter.

But she didn’t state anything specific as to her future — just that she would continue in public service.

Gov Plain’s Lawyer, THOMAS VAN FLEIN:

There is no bombshell. There is no shoe to drop. There are no investigations of any type that I’m aware of — no IRS audit, no federal investigation, no state investigation. There is no legal reason in terms of a legal problem that compelled the governor to resign.

Gov Palin picked Friday on purpose:

She declared her independence from “politics as usual”.

His take on last fall:

In my opinion, she was the national campaign for Republicans last fall. I know John McCain was the candidate, but the decision was really about Sarah Palin and could she take on Obama. That was a lot of weight on her shoulders to carry that campaign, and they almost pulled it off.

Letterman’s disgusting “jokes” factored into Palin’s decision.

When people don’t accept normal bounds of decency making jokes like that about children, maybe this is not good for the state right now. And maybe somebody else who is not the subject, and whose family is not the subject of this scrutiny, can move the state forward.

FBI: Palin not under investigation

July 5, 2009

Palin Derangement Syndrome is contagious, it seems. The venomous sites are going full throttle in a last ditch effort to attack the soon to be retired Alaska Gov. It is reminiscent of their original assault. Or the recent “joke” by a blogger – endorsed by the Alaskan Democratic Party – regarding Trig Palin’s face. And the anti-birthers are taking a breather to go after her. So vicious are things that the FBI has actually come forward to make clear she is not being investigated.

Actually, it’s shocking that anyone would come to her aid – let alone someone from barry’s government.

Wonder how the investigation into the Wasilla Bible Church arson and attempted murder is going?

Anyone?

How many of you have even heard about it?

FBI spokesman ERIC GONZALEZ:

We are not investigating her. Normally we don’t confirm or deny those kind of allegations out there but by not doing so it just casts her in a very bad light. There is just no truth to those rumors out there in the blogosphere.

Gov Pain’s attorney, THOMAS VAN FLEIN:

I can say definitively I am aware of no criminal investigation whatsoever involving Sarah Palin.

Zero.

Bloggers are convinced that Gov Palin is being investigated in regards to the building of the Wasilla Sports Complex, her home and mysterious contractors who allegedly don’t exist. And the obvious proof of guilt? They both used the same type of wood and windows!

How many options are there in Wasilla, Alaska??

alaskademparty

barryTV went so far as to have one of the PDS bloggers listed above — clearly endorsed by the Alaskan Democratic Party – to discuss the “impending investigation” with renowned investigative reporter, David Schuster, and then the blogger tried to cover themselves by saying they never claimed it was true.

When did that start mattering in the blogosphere?

barry people still think he had a vote on Iraq, that allegation of “Kill him” was true and that Palin banned books.

Blogger:

There is a scandal rumor here that there is a criminal investigation into some activities and that’s been rumored for about, I don’t know, probably six weeks or two months.

They said Palin “appeared nervous” and that they thought:

she was actually doing damage control for news that’s coming up later.

And the very sad part is if there were to be something going on – folks would be excited.

What does that say in general?

About barry supporters?

About the Democratic Party, who is so proud of showing how far they’ve come by crowning a biracial president?

They’ve put a whole new spin on the word “tolerance”.

From Gov Palin’s statement I got the impression something was coming because of the words she used and the contradictory tone. And after reading her statement three times I still don’t understand what she was intending to say.

But blogging like mad and going on TV to assert that something has been going on for a while is malicious and proves once again what MSNBC has become: a probarry propaganda channel that goes out of its way to ignore truth about barry and report unconfirmed gossip about his opponents/naysayers.

VAN FLEIN should very much “be exploring legal options this week to address such defamation.”

The biggest problem about Palin rumors is that there are limited news sources – including blogs – coming out of Alaska so it’s difficult to confirm with more than one source.

A comment made in all seriousness by that blogger:

I haven’t defamed the governor, I reported on speculation and rumor in Alaska. … It’s not my rumor; it’s been out there for 10 months and the First Amendment protects me. Even if I didn’t say it’s ‘rumors and speculation,’ I’m still protected — I would just lose credibility, which I’m not willing to do.

From Iraq, VP Biden on Gov Palin’s announcement:

I didn’t hear her press conference. All I was told was that she said and related to it was a personal decision a family decision and I take her at her word. In my experience that’s how 95 percent of decisions by public officials in both parties are made when they’re this important to their careers.

Greta Van Sustern’s question today:

What do you think President Obama thought when he heard the news about Gov Palin?

What indeed. Has anyone asked him?

I am deeply disappointed that the Governor has decided to abandon the State and her constituents before her term has concluded.

Republicans react to Gov Palin’s announcement. Of course the timing is suspicious – or barryesque. Remember that “report” about his staffers’ dealings with Blago? How conveniently was that released? John Edwards finally coming out after barry goes to Hawaii? But when Palin does it it’s “inept”.

One of those cowardly anonymous Republican sources:

it was a “calculation” she made that “it was time to move on.” The governor’s “book deal and other issues” were “causing a lot of friction” in her home state, the source said, adding that he believes she is “mapping out a path to 2012.”

Another one:

[Palin] thinks she has accomplished goals she has set forward. … She sees what a positive influence she has had on people’s lives from traveling the country in the last year.

RANDY RUEDRICH CHAIRMAN ALASKA GOP, RANDY RUEDRICH: he “was not even contemplating her stepping down.”

CNN Republican strategist ED ROLLINS: Palin is “terribly inept.”

I think everyone is shocked by this, and I think to a certain extent everyone is going to assume there’s another story. You don’t just quit with a year and a half to go. You certainly don’t do this as a stepping stone to run for president. You finish the job that you’re in, and obviously she’s not doing that.

I think people are going to be very suspicious because of the timing. You don’t quit on the Friday of a three-day holiday. If you are going to do this, you think it through, you give a good speech.

CNN Republican Strategist MARY MATALIN:

Her delivery was incredible, if you’re a less charismatic person, you probably couldn’t pull it off. [Now] she will be freed up and liberated the way Mitt Romney is to raise money and get political chips by spending it and getting political capital. And she is still raising the kinds of crowds and money she always did.

We presume if there was anything else we would know it by now.

“We”? She was surprised by the announcement itself. The arrogance of these folks is amazing.

LT GOV SEAN PARNELL:

You know, I was surprised at first, and didn’t understand, because I think the traditional political thing to do is to stay in a position like that, and then, you know, leverage it into something greater. But that’s not Sarah Palin,” he said, praising her “independent streak.” “She is a real person with real dreams for real people, and when she believes she can effect better change for others through other means, she’s just going to do that.

GOV PALIN SPOKESWOMAN MEGHAN STAPLETON:

When the former Republican vice presidential candidate returned to Alaska after the campaign and pressed her agenda, “she found…resistance, and she found as she looked up more and more that state time and resources were being just wasted with just frivolous ethics complaints coming in, and FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests and lawsuits — but to an extraordinary extent, and from literally those doing opposition research. And so she said really, is this good for Alaska? Is this what a governor is supposed to do, sit and watch money going down the drain?

…I know you want to put that sort of negative word in there, but it’s not a ‘liability’ — it’s that she has a vision for the state…the best way and the best place to effect change at this point is outside her role as governor, because as governor people are just focused on bringing her down rather than building up the state, and that’s not who she is.

RNC CHAIRMAN MICHAEL STEELE STATEMENT:

I plan on talking to Governor Palin very soon. She is an important and galvanizing voice in the Republican Party. I believe she will be very helpful to the Party this year as we wage critical campaigns in Virginia and New Jersey. I am certain this has been a difficult decision for her to step down as Alaska’s governor. She has been a good governor for her state and I wish her and the Palin family the best during this transition.

MITT ROMNEY:

I wish Sarah Palin and her family well, and I know that she will continue to be a strong voice in the Republican Party.

Sounds like he hopes she’s done for good.

GOV PALIN RGA

RGA Statement on Governor Palin’s AnnouncementRepublican Governors Association Executive Director Nick Ayers issued the following statement in regards to Sarah Palin’s announcement today that she will not seek reelection in 2010 and will step down from the governorship on July 25th.

While we regret the news announced by Governor Palin today, Alaska will continue to have a Republican governor through 2010 and we are confident the state will elect a Republican in next year’s election.

The RGA’s focus remains firmly on the gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia this year, and the 37 gubernatorial elections that will take place in 2010. We know that winning these races is the most important task facing our Party over the next two years.

Typically classless barry operative. What is he getting out of saying such nastiness? It’s just making them look bad. They’re in power, so why the need? Because it’s all they know how to do. He just left out the “erratic” & “doddering” & “lurching” from the Senator McCain press statements.

You ever head of this guy?

DNC Spokesman BRAD WOODHOUSE:

Either Sarah Palin is leaving the people of Alaska high and dry to pursue her long shot national political ambitions or she simply can’thandle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down. Either way – her decision to abandon her post and the people of Alaska who elected her continues a pattern of bizarre behavior that more than anything else may explain the decision she made today.

Too weird for words. Gov Palin has decided not to run for re-election as governor of Alaska. She will be leaving office July 26 at the Governor’s picnic after swearing in Lt Governor Sean Parnell.

I’ve read her statement three times and am not more enlightened than when I started. It’s probably just the dyslexia but the CAPITALIZATION and !!! and 2500 words were too much to focus through. Not commenting on her intelligence or statement-writing skills. The tone seemed off. Like excited when someone who so loves their state should have some sadness. Overly excited to cover for something that’s coming? Making it sound like it’s her choice when it really isn’t? I just couldn’t get it. My problem.

A summary of what I could grasp [emphasis added]:

Greetings to Alaskans, Seward’s Folly, what a great state Alaska is with natural resources, God gave us energy

People who know me know that besides faith and family, nothing’s more important to me than our beloved Alaska.

…recitation of accomplishments – including breaking ground on the new prison, stimulus, the debt being passed on to next generation, Alaskans should get more positive press — won 2 SCOTUS rulings…

Some say things changed for me on August 29th last year – the day John McCain tapped me to be his running-mate – I say others changed.

…her new ethics law used against her after barry’s attack dogs descended in Wasilla, 15 ethics violation investigation – not guilty in all, cost the state $2M to fight, personal debt $500K, not going to be a lame duck, will spend time helping others help Alaska…

If I have learned one thing: LIFE is about choices!

And one chooses how to react to circumstances. You can choose to engage in things that tear down, or build up….Productive, fulfilled people determine where to put their efforts, choosing to wisely utilize precious time… to BUILD UP.

And there is such a need to BUILD up and FIGHT for our state and our country. I choose to FIGHT for it! And I’ll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE… I’ll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won’t deride them.

Sounds like she’s starting her own party.

I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don’t care what party they’re in or no party at all. Inside Alaska – or Outside Alaska.

But I won’t do it from the Governor’s desk.

[....]

I am determined to take the right path for Alaska even though it is unconventional and not so comfortable.

Does this sound like it was her choice?

With this announcement that I am not seeking re-election… I’ve determined it’s best to transfer the authority of governor to Lieutenant Governor Parnell; and I am willing to do so, so that this administration – with its positive agenda, its accomplishments, and its successful road to an incredible future – can continue without interruption and with great administrative and legislative success.

My choice is to take a stand and effect change – not hit our heads against the wall and watch valuable state time and money, millions of your dollars, go down the drain in this new environment. Rather, we know we can effect positive change outside government at this moment in time, on another scale, and actually make a difference for our priorities – and so we will, for Alaskans and for Americans.

Religion? Special needs foundation? Valuable state money and time to defend her in court? Something is looming. It cannot be those folks who think Trig is not her child. That is a crazy birth certificate issue.

[...]

I do not want to disappoint anyone with my decision; all I can ask is that you TRUST me with this decision – but it’s no more “politics as usual”.

Some Alaskans don’t mind wasting public dollars and state time. I do. I cannot stand here as your Governor and allow millions upon millions of our dollars go to waste just so I can hold the title of Governor. And my children won’t allow it either. ? Some will question the timing. ? Let’s just say, this decision has been in the works for awhile…

She references the millions it has cost to defend her thus far and makes a point of saying there were 15 ethics investigations and she was innocent…and so 1 out of 16 isn’t bad? This next statement makes clear – to me – that some pending litigation is coming – something that if she were to be found guilty it would disqualify her from being governor.

...I cannot stand here as your Governor and allow millions upon millions of our dollars go to waste just so I can hold the title of Governor. And my children won’t allow it either. ? Some will question the timing. ? Let’s just say, this decision has been in the works for awhile…

In fact, this decision comes after much consideration, and finally polling the most important people in my life – my children (where the count was unanimous… well, in response to asking: “Want me to make a positive difference and fight for ALL our children’s future from OUTSIDE the Governor’s office?” It was four “yes’s” and one “hell yeah!” The “hell yeah” sealed it – and someday I’ll talk about the details of that… I think much of it had to do with the kids seeing their baby brother Trig mocked by some pretty mean-spirited adults recently.) Um, by the way, sure wish folks could ever, ever understand that we ALL could learn so much from someone like Trig – I know he needs me, but I need him even more… what a child can offer to setpriorities RIGHT – that time is precious… the world needs more “Trigs”, not fewer.

Talks about the great sacrifice of the troops and her recent trip to Kosovo and Landstuhl…does it sound like it hurts? She sounds relieved.

It hurts to make this choice but I am doing what’s best for Alaska….But I have given my reasons… no more “politics as usual” and I am taking my fight for what’s right – for Alaska – in a new direction….And I will support you because we need YOU and YOU can effect change, and I can too on the outside.

Republicans tell her to get lost?

We need those who will respect our Constitution where government’s supposed to serve from the BOTTOM UP, not move toward this TOP DOWN big government take-over… but rather, will be protectors of individual rights – who also have enough common sense to acknowledge when conditions have drastically changed and are willing to call an audible and pass the ball when it’s time so the team can win! And that is what I’m doing!

They’re in good hands with Lt Governor Sean Parnell. But what’ll be good and for whom?

Remember Alaska… America is now, more than ever, looking North to the Future. It’ll be good. So God bless you, and from me and my family – to ALL Alaska – you have my heart.

And we will be in the capable hands of our Lieutenant Governor, Sean Parnell. And Lieutenant General Craig Campbell will assume the role of Lieutenant Governor. And it is my promise to you that I will always be standing by, ready to assist. We have a good, positive agenda for Alaska.

Conclusion:

In the words of General MacArthur said, “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

So what position has barry offered her??

Official Dem Party blogger alters Trig Palin’s face as “joke”

June 25, 2009

There really is no end to the classlessness bots are capable of. Since they can’t go after Secretary Clinton because she’s doing a job barry couldn’t even begin to attempt – a job they ridiculed her qualifications for – it’s Gov Palin and her family. From slutty crack ho mom to incesting dad to teenage daughter whores to the most innocent of souls – Trig. Thinking it’s a “joke” to make fun of an infant with Down Syndrome by changing his face.

What kind of person – a woman no less – even thinks of something like that? And how lacking in morals does one have to be to be so proud of ones depraved thoughts that they share it with the entire planet? And these people are inspired by barry. A link to her site is posted on the official Alaska Democratic Party website. So if she isn’t being paid directly by the Democratic Party – she is at the very least officially endorsed by them. Hence the request for barry to get his party in line.

CELTIC DIVA’S BLUE OASIS

Folks need to see what they are capable of and explaining it is not the same as seeing it but it will not stay here for long. The original photo was shot by Reuters. I hope they go after her somehow. It’s the only way they will be stopped.

Palin is upset with a blogger who doctored a photo of herself and son Trig.

Proud artwork courtesy liberal Alaskan Blogger LINDA KELLEN BIEGEL, who is so proud of her work she removed it. Note that she was using the pix as a way to raise money.

Palin spokeswoman MEGHAN STAPLETON:

Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love for a special needs child. The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling.

Babies and children are off limits. It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned.

Were barry’s children used in any fashion by anyone other than their parents? And if this a picture of Malia with Chris Matthews face what would these folks be screaming? Here’s an example of the comments at CNN, confirming the character of obamafans – one going so far as to actually write “special needs card”.

that is one of the funniest pictures ever….keep at her!

With all due respect to Mrs. Palin and anyone offended by this pic. GET OVER IT ALREADY!

(Iowa liberal) Sarah, quit trotting out the “special needs” card.

his picture is not offensive.

(Kimberley in CA) Of course. It’s been a week now, time to get her name back in the news.

(Independent voter) no, what’s appalling is palin’s constant whinning and complaining over trivial stuff!

I don’t see a special needs child in the picture, she’s tossing that out there for spin.

(Harvey for Obama) One word Palin, lighten up.

(Robert Austin, Texas) I think it has become apparent that Palin has become a “special needs” adult.

It’s about time for the Wasilla Imbecilla to stop playing the victim.

That baby has special needs, alright. He needs a new mother.

The photo is funny and the point is well taken.

M. Bellew-Smith So, he’s special needs. You had him. Keep him home and stop inflicting him on us and us on him.

Gov Palin’s sister-in-law arrested

April 4, 2009

Governor Palin has gone from nowhere to everywhere. The list is too long to mention but has included herself, her son, her daughter and ex-boyfriend, his job, his mother, her husband and now his half-sister. Add that her church was torched with church members inside with no suspect or motive found.

According to AP’s RACHEL D’ORO, Todd Palin’s half-sister, Diana Palin, 35, was arrested April 2nd after she was confronted by the homeowner. Her tire tracks and shoe prints also implicate her in another break-in at the same residence on March 31st where $400 was taken. She faces two counts of felony burglary and misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass and theft.

She has not been tied to a third burglary that took place at the same home last week. Wonder whose home it was and why she went back.

Gov Palin re: barry’s Special Olympics “joke”

March 20, 2009

Governor Palin’s comments on barry’s “thoughtless joke” and “offhand remark”.

PALIN: I was shocked to learn of the comment made by President Obama about Special Olympics.

This was a degrading remark about our world’s most precious and unique people, coming from the most powerful position in the world.

These athletes overcome more challenges, discrimination and adversity than most of us ever will.

By the way, these athletes can outperform many of us and we should be proud of them.

I hope President Obama’s comments do not reflect how he truly feels about the special needs community.

Gov Palin: Trig & the Special Olympics (video)

March 20, 2009

I can’t imagine Gov Palin is pleased hearing what came out barry’s mouth: as a mother, a mother of a special soul, a mother of a future Special Olympian, a governor, an American and as a citizen of the human race. Here she talks about the importance if the Special Olympics - which were held in Boise, Idaho in February - from what looks like her youngest daughter’s bedroom with Trig sitting on her lap.

Imagine how she heard barry’s disgusting words. Must have been reminiscent of jonjon alter’s “disabled infant” comment in NEWSWEEK.

Imagine if Gov Palin or Madame Secretary Clinton would have said: “My public speaking is - it’s like the Miss Black Teen talent contest. Ha-ha-ha.”

The uproar then?

So why hasn’t barry been held to the same standard?

Same as always: the Double Standard.

nxrisetaker

Her message: the Special Olympics will afford Trig the chance to engage in sports and competition the way the rest of her athletic family has been able and that his participation will be given the same attention as his siblings. And, of course, her trademark:

You know what the difference is between a hockey mom and a Special Olympics hockey mom?

Nothing!

Update: Why can't they leave Gov Palin's family alone?

January 6, 2009

Countdown

herr olbermann is so hate-filled he would be perfect on al Jazeera. His anger must stem from not being able to see his parts in over a decade. He still is going after Senator Palin (how he refers to her). He made sure to report on Bristol Palin's future mother-in-law's drug related arrest. Now he's after her fiance, Levi Johnston. He just started an electrician's apprenticeship, which evidently requires a high school education. Now, because of the media attention and suggestion that the Gov or First Dude Palin used their influence, he has had to quit the job.

What parent has helped get their kid a job? Levi's dad works on the site which is a normal way of getting your kid a job. I didn't realize Gov Palin had such supreme control of the universe.

Where is that breaking the law or even newsworthy?

Original op-ed was by Dan Fagan some loser radio host. Here's a little insight by one of his fans named Jack:

At first I just called you a FAT BASTARD now I have to ad COMUNIST FAT BASTARD, How did you get your job, on your knees or bent over a desk. Give the Palins a break, Levi is only trying to man up and be a man, take some of his actions and use them for yourself, maybe you could get laid and knock up one of your hookers or boyfriends.

Maybe he's the Anchorage version of herr olbermann.

Anchorage Daily News' WESLEY LOY:

Levi's dad, KEITH JOHNSTON on his son quitting: He felt it was the best thing to do to kind of calm the waters, so to speak.

On no GED: It's just something that slipped through the cracks." He said the lack of a diploma wasn't something that managers at ASRC caught and neither he nor Levi gave it much thought.

You guys are watching him so tightly. He's being treated different than an average 18-year-old kid. He has to do everything by the book now.

Sarah had nothing to do with him getting hired on the Slope. If there was any help getting him on up there, it was because of my associations and no one else's.

This isn't funny anymore - not that it ever was. He has a child to support and media pressure just forced him to quit what would have been excellent lifelong security. Leave them alone to get on with their lives. I really cannot get past the sexism and absolute misogyny. What would happen if she didn't live outside the United States?

OLBERMANN: She is a bottomless pit of political standards. I'd be lost without her.

Says a lot doesn't it?

How often has olbermann reported on the arson of a former vice presidential candidate's church (Wasilla Bible Church) while women and children were clearly inside it when the fire was set?

Worst Person in the World?

And then his I don't even know how to characterize her Margaret Carlson goes on about Blair House. Get over it. They aren't living there. Move on to something important. She says John Howard, Former Primer Minister of Australia is staying there just as some plausible reason.

Why doesn't anyone ask why the Obama's deserve it when they haven't been inaugurated? Why should the whole world be at their feet? It took the Germans and Bush to say no.

What is going to happen to the proobamedia when their eyes are opened once and for all?

Gov Palin CLEARED ON ALL CHARGES

November 3, 2008

Governor palin has been cleared of all charges. She did not violate any laws. Of course they raise the issue of barry's aunt being the issue . Well not her - the "leak". But it's not a coincidence the board comes out when it no longer matters and can no directly help them win. The way all this happens and they ways the two sides are treated in the election is very disheartening as an American citizen. Propaganda, Bush, DNC and money won this election for barry. I no longer care what you think of me - not that I ever had.

Washington Post's JAMES V GRIMALDI

"There is no probable cause to believe that Governor Palin violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act by making the decision to dismiss Department of Public Safety Commissioner Monegan," said Timothy Petumenos, investigator to the personnel board. "There is no probable cause to believe that Governor Palin violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in any other respect in connection with the employment of Alaska State Trooper Michael Wooten."

At a routine meeting, the board surprised attendees by announcing that its investigator would release his findings yesterday. [Surprised?]

The legislature's investigator, Stephen Branchflower, found evidence that Palin actively joined her husband, Todd, in pursuing a personal vendetta against the trooper and that she used state employees to try to settle a score in a bitter family feud.

Petumenos said his findings are different because "the wrong statute was used as a basis for the conclusions contained in the Branchflower report" and Branchflower "misconstrued the available evidence."

She's cleared after she's been thoroughly discredited and not solely by her actions. What man who claims he has a righteous wind at his back allows his opponents to treated as he had while he did nothing? That is no man of character. Doesn't matter. Gov Plain has been vindicated. barry becoming president vindicates his faith in the American people...like his wife said she was proud for the first time.

Seems everything has turned into a rant.
