Effigies: more double standard

Palin effigy story finally makes it on MSNBC but only because there was an Obama effigy found hanging at University of Kentucky. And they'll be more as long as Palin's lynched effigy remains suspended in the noose with her hands tied behind her back as "art".

"[University of Kentucky] School President Lee Todd says that he plans to personally apologize to the Obama family on behalf of the university and that he is "personally offended and deeply embarrassed by this disgusting episode."

Why is one effigy more offensive than the other? No, don't give me that pat answer. Two major candidates' human likenesses are being hung from a tree. How is one any less evil than the other? And yet, one gets more outrage than another. Ones racial bias is revealed in what one considers acceptable behavior concerning one race and unacceptable concerning another. It shows once again the double standard between race and gender, with race always winning.

West Hollywood pigs: "If it's a political statement, it's that (McCain's and Palin's) politics are scary to us. This is our palette and this is our venue of expression."

And if it were a different color palette? It wouldn't be a venue of expression protected under the first amendment - it would be a hate crime.

Did I miss barry's campaign asking them to take it down? Did he tell them they should apologize to the Palin family? Just more of the same obamanating: lofty words - no action. Transcender of race! Great Uniter! Man above the Fray! does nothing to stop the attacks on his opponents and keeps shelling out cash for McCain attacks ads. If Obama loses, it will because of the barrage of those ads, not "McCain/Palin racists".

It's the second time an effigy has been found on a college campus recently. Earlier this week, George Fox University in Oregon said it was punishing four students who confessed to hanging a likeness of Obama from a tree.

See AP for rundown of effigies and an inflatable doll. Note that these events took place after the Palin effigy "art" was lynched. And had the Palin effigy been addressed immediately and properly?

So, two universities this week. At one, four kids are punished and the other is extending a personal apology to the Obamas. And after three weeks, Gov Palin's effigy remains hanging from a noose with her hands tied behind her back as an "art" exhibit. Yes. I understand the historical differences and residential property vs school property. NEITHER are right and BOTH should be treated the same.

Gov Palin's effigy has been hanging with a noose around her neck for three weeks with nary a concern by the neighbors or federal investigator until it hit the news. An unsubstantiated threat of "kill him" got national press and even more outrage heaped on McCain. barry did not hesitate to play the race card by announcing the unsubstantiated claim to the entire debate audience. The final debate - ensuring no retraction - as was intended. Has barry made a public apology for his false allegation that can never be unheard? That can never be taken away from the consciousness of the debate audience - potential voters?

Who in their right mind still believes that barry has not used the race card at every and all turns? Who believes that what he did was not intentional? Who can possibly continue to say that his campaign has been the most honorable in history? It will be chronicled to be the most deceitful and deceptively vicious as there has ever been. Mark my words - though it may take longer than six months and may only come to light after barry needed help with that international crisis Biden already knows how he will handle.

And has barry publicly decried Rep Lewis' statement that admittedly so angered barry's own camp? Where was Jesse, jr's comments? Or on Biden's "false tears" during the debate? Typical pick and choose according to political expediency and what most helps barry and what most damages is opponents, with the pro-obama media happily playing along. What about every comment Senator Clinton, her husband and camp (allegedly or not) made? Senator McCain? Governor Palin? And the pro-obama media go on and on how McCain has disgraced and dishonored himself, while peering blindly into the eyes of the messiah, who meanwhile laughs behind the stooges' backs.

Has the pro-obama media forced barry to do what they have hammered McCain/Palin for not doing? How can someone respond to something that was never said? Has the pro-obama media mentioned the one allegation was completely debunked by the Secret Service as: "THAT'S him"? No, of course not. How would it further barry's cause? Just like all the misinterpreted comments made during the primary. Imagine the outrage if the skin colors were reversed. Racial equality in America? And the pro-obama TV personalities, including Whoopi, Mika, Martin, Gergen, Olbermann, Brazile and Behar still don't know that DAVID SINGLETON [I am exercising my first amendment] TOTALLY MADE IT UP. Either for his own personal gain or in cahoots with the Obama campaign - my opinion is the latter.

Would the barry effigies have happened if Palin's effigy had not been given so much press and written off as Halloween "art"?

How do Gov Palin's daughters feel seeing it on TV and hearing the pro-obama media laughing and saying that's where their mom belongs?

How do you think her son feels over in Iraq knowing that no one cared that his mom's likeness was hanging from a noose with her hands tied behind her back and that even after it was brought to the pro-obama media's attention it was allowed to remain?

How do you think her husband and parents feel about it being written off as "art" and touted as a tourist attraction?

Do you think Gov Palin's children feel any less offended or afraid than Malia and Sasha?

bots attack "Joe the Plumber"

The last debate is over, barry's up in the polls and writing about McCain's facial expressions, anger, fidgetyness, agitation, irritation etc is getting tired so what do the bots do? They investigate poor "Joe the Plumber". Imagine if a black man was referred to as Joe the Plumber? Donna Brazile prefers Joe and Jane Sixpack but Senator Clinton referring to an actual demographic was clear evidence of racism. This poor man asks barry how he was going to help him and barry couldn't answer. Today they're all over him with camera crews outside his house. How more vicious can the attacks get? The obama camp is going after a man who had the misfortune to ask barry what he was actually going to do. And what do they do to this hardworking dad? They reveal that he has a lien because he owes something in back taxes and are questioning whether he's licensed to be a plumber. They're maggots.

It does not get more despicable than that. Going after an "angry old man" wasn't enough, so they discredit any and everyone who dares speak about the messiah in less than haloific terms. How many of these immoral bots bothered to look into Ayers, Wright, Rezko, Alinsky, ACORN and all the other connections barry has? The pro-obama media has completely and utterly proven their lack of "journalistic integrity" - if it had ever applied to them. I don't know because I never followed politics until February. Every single dem strategist (who are these people and why don't they have a real job?) has said the same thing. He's angry, he looks unpresidential and barry was calm and composed. The manlove is back to overflowing and the rage against barry's opponent as virulent as ever. Whoever that facial expression expert was - he didn't see very much. When McCain brought up barry's abortion vote, barry clenched his jaw, swallowed hard and took a sip of water. All clear signs of discomfort and deceit. I no longer wonder how Hitler controlled the media.

Jeffrey (in the tank for obama) Toobin hosted a panel discussion with Donna Brazile, Misogynist Alex Castellanos (who thinks that it's time to take the family dog (Hillary Clinton) to the vet and that it's ok to call her a bitch because she is.) Edward J. Rollins, (who wants to knock out Romney's teeth) and Joe Trippi (fired after the Dean yeeeeee-hah! and said, "So, in the NBC debate, Gephardt takes out a .357 Magnum and blows Bambi's head off.") Must have been a lively discussion because Donna Brazile finally let go. She's morphed throughout this election. It has been eye-opening.

She starts by saying that she has to get something off her chest and then she'll be a good Catholic woman for the next 30 days. By these words, she implies what she is about to say is uncharitable. Whatever. It's finally good to see her be 100% honest about her feelings about race. Her hiding her affection for Obama was transparent and disingenuous. Why is Spike Lee trashing her? Didn't he watch her? And she repeatedly says in reference to white folks that she will "cook them something." How do you take this?

Here's the 10-4-08 article by The New Yorker's, JUSTIN VOGT. I thought it best to include the entire article and fill in the missing words in his partial transcript. And I inserted the you tube video into his article. The New Yorker has the same video and the full-length version but I couldn't embed it. The interesting part for me was that she refers to Obama as biracial when all along he's been African America. Fits in the rant. She mentions his mother's uterus and his housing therein and his typical white person grandparents but has such little respect for them she doesn't name them. It's what white people and women of his mother's generation (aka Hillary supporters) notice. Somebody should clue her in that her mother had a name - (Stanley) Ann Dunham - not just the requisite female parts. His white grandparents are Madelyn and Stanley (deceased) Dunham,

Donna's World by JUSTIN VOGT:

The political consultant Donna Brazile elevated this morning's panel "If I Were Running This Campaign" to a political rally, or maybe even a church revival meeting in her native New Orleans.

Brazile, who managed Al Gore's 2000 Presidential run and is a frequent commentator on CNN, has taken some heat during the past few months from other prominent African-Americans (including Spike Lee, who said as much in a recent Profile by John Colapinto) upset by her neutrality in the Obama-Clinton race. (As a Democratic superdelegate, Brazile declined to choose a side until Clinton had already dropped out.)

But any uneasiness Brazile may have been feeling on the issue of race has clearly evaporated. Asked for some closing thoughts after the wide-ranging discussion, Brazile paused, then dove in:

BRAZILE: I'm gonna say it and get it off my chest, because for the next thirty days, I'm gonna be the best Catholic woman ever. [If Obama loses, there's a possibility, as Joe says that he will lose. He might lose. I would hope that people voted against him because they didn't like his energy plan, they didn't like his economic vision, they didn't like the fact that he came out against the war so early when everybody else was being culpable and going with the status quo. I would hope that people decided that perhaps during the debates he didn't do as well as he could. And maybe Ed's right: we're at a time of trouble and you want somebody who's been on the planet much longer...a helluva lot longer. God bless him. And I know his mother, so, yeah, if somebody keep me around till 94 - God bless me, too!

But, my friends, I have to tell you], As a child who grew up in the segregated Deep South, we've come so far in this country. [This country, you have to have lived as long as I've lived and as long as many of you in this room, I've seen so much progress.] But I remember when I used to get on the bus: [this was when segergation was so-called over with] and my mother would tell me, "Donna, when you get on the bus, you and your brothers go all the way to the back, and don't look at anybody." [And, of course, I would go on that bus alright and tell my brother to go to the straight to the back and don't look at anybody - because I didn't want them to get in trouble. I sat right there and said, now let me see if everything's ok. Is it really changed?]

We have changed. This is a more tolerant, a more open, a more progressive society. And yet, we're having this conversation because he's is biracial. He spent nine months in the womb of a white woman. He was raised [for the first 18, 21 years] by his white grandparents…[He ain't spent no time in living rooms like I spent my childhood, and yet] he got out of school and went to Harvard, and all of a sudden he's "uppity" and there's something wrong with him? What is wrong with us [to suggest that some kid can go to Harvard if he's earned the grades to go there. I tell my friends] you may vote against him, but don't ever put me in the back of the bus. I'm not going to the back of the bus! I'm not going to be afraid! My black skin does not make me inferior! And might I add: being a female does not make me dumb!

[Now we can re-litigate all these fights on race and gender and sexual orientation till the cows come home. But at a time when we're in crisis, I want the best, I want the brightest, I want somebody to take me where we've never been as a country. Perhaps we've been too stuck in the past, that's why we can't go forward. So let the next 31 days be about ideas, about inspiration and about strength of character. Let it be about something that brings us together - not tears us apart. I can sit on the stage with these men, and if I had time this afternoon, I'd go home and I'd cook for 'em. And we will all sit and drink something.

But this is where we are as a country. We are comfortable with each other. Let's not play these games.] "Don't let people trick you. Don't let people divide you [or distract you . My mother is not here. Her mother is not here. My grandfather's - everybody in my family - the men have served this country.] Don't let no one take us back! Because many of us are not going back—we're going forward! And come with us!"

Earlier, the panel's moderator, Jeff Toobin, had remarked: "It's Donna's world; we just live in it." Now all he could say was: "I will spare the other panelists from having to follow Donna."

Now why in the hell isn't she out there stumping? She out-speaks and out-emotes Obama a million times over and is entertaining doing it. She missed her calling and should be running for a higher office. Obama better have something for her. She is a naturally persuasive speaker with great timing and facial expression. Obama is not. This is the best argument I've heard yet for Obama and said with firsthand authority. Obama cannot speak to the Oppression of the Southern Negro - she lived it.

I did strongly object to her words and tone when she said: "He spent nine months in the womb of WHITE WOMAN." The inflection and body language there was very disturbing, as was the mention of the WHITE GRANDPARENTS (Stanley & Madelyn Dunham) with no reference to his mother (Stanley Ann Dunham) raising him. And most glaringly, the fact that she not once mentioned his African father who abandoned them for another white woman. Why does no one mention this?

And why is he only biracial when it serves his needs? The first time many people knew he was biracial was during the Philly speech when it was politically expedient. And the mention of his strength of character made me angry. I know what he's done and how he got where he is. He has lied and continues to lie with impunity. And his supporters, who know nothing about him, keep spouting nonsense - and he lets them. How much does she really know about him?

Thing is nobody cares and if the economy stays where it is and nothing untoward foreign policy-wise happens, Obama's the only real choice. And Republicans know that in their heart. His unforgivable sin is not having the courage and showing the poor judgment to put his ego before those American People he's always mentioning and not picking Hillary Clinton. No matter what happens - that decision will go down as the biggest mistake in presidential history to date. She is the superior politician and she had been speaking about the economy, foreclosures and sub-prime lending since day 1. They called on her to go on TV and layout the situation. And she did so firmly, authoritatively and knowledgeably - so much so that Mika said that the ticket could have used her. If she were on the ticket, the country would be massively better off and the polls wouldn't even be close. The Republican base already hate her and she had as many votes as Obama - something people seem to keep forgetting.

Hypocritical outrage about the MSM attack on Governor Palin. Where were they during the primaries? Why just now the outrage? See this video of Republican women finally speaking out now that it's not Sen Clinton. It shows that sexism is conditional and the worst hypocrites are the women in the MSM like Mo Dowdy, Nanci Pelosi, Peg Noonan, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd, Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira, Soledad O'Brien, Gloria Borger, Mika, Donna Brazile, who rants about racist treatment of obama and never once brought up the sexist treatment of Sen Clinton. It shows exactly who those women are. They go along with the boys so they aren't attacked. They are the weakest of all women.

Toward the end Donna Brazile was sending vile venomous emails to supposed SHRC supporters. I'm sure that many many of them were disgusting. Frannie sent her an email inquiring about her comments made on CNN. See what you think. Frannie was entirely sincere but the final response was downright nasty.

FRANNIE: Hello Ms Brazile: I apologize for all the nastiness Clinton supporters have vented on you. They represent a derange faction and don't speak or reflect the majority of Clinton supporters. Our group has nothing but love for you and wish you well. We heard your words on CNN and wonder how much you meant them?

BRAZILE: Anderson, you know, I'm in -- this is Sunday. I will give her my delegate if that would tell them to show some love. Show some unity. They can have my vote. I'll cast it for Hillary Clinton. But don't tell me after we have sat down for two days spent the entire week getting e-mails from people who are strangers threatening us if we don't do what they want us to do they're going with John McCain.

11,295 Clinton supporters who had planned on writing her in on the ballot will vote for Obama and actively campaign for him until November. Not a threat or ill will or anything else. We're simply curious if you will really stand behind your offer. None of us would ever vote for McCain.

BRAZILE: Your email and others are unproductive and disrespectful to Senator Clinton. Thus, I understand and appreciate the desire to inject your anger on the last day. But you must understand this, we are human beings as well with deep emotions as well that must be acknowledged.

Ouch! What? Frannie sent a confirmatory email saying that she was indeed sincere and blamed the anger on the email being sent to the wrong person. She couldn't find the last one to include here.

And then there's Brazile's tirade at the rules committee about people in this room she nods her head and eyes toward the pink-faced men next to her having made the rules - generalizing to the whites. Could you imagine someone making a face and dismissive gesture like that to Mrs Obama? Someone should remind Brazile that women weren't included in the "all men are created equal" either. And that black men voted in 1870 and held office - in larger proportions than any time hence. Think about that. Women couldn't vote until 1920 and they marched and got beat and jailed. It doesn't lesson either - it just goes unnoticed. Black men could vote in the South - although there were literacy tests and a poll tax - they had the right. Blacks in the North voted between 1870 and 1920 when women did not have the option of literacy tests or anything else. The first black man to vote did so in New Jersey.

BRAZILE: This goes to what my mama taught me. (evil look 2:53) My mama - you mentioned your mother - if I was doing what I normally do on Saturday, I would give you something to take home [like she said to Begala] - but I'm not. But my mama always taught me to play by the rules and respect the rules. My mama taught me...when you decide to change the rules, especially, middle of the game, end of the game, that is referred to as cheating.

Angry: So, in that spirit, in the spirit of unity that we all come here today, we come hear in the spirit of unity- we come here in the spirit - not because we everything that we will do here today will be reflected in all of the rules that we have...

He put his pen on a document that came about because people marched and they died for this right to vote, so I just hope that as we talk about fairness and what's flawed and what's principle and what reflects the true intention of the voters, that we also pay tribute to those who might have written in and those who may have not have showed up because they didn't think their vote would matter that day--so we reflect them all. And I'll compromise and I just wanted to put that on the record as well.

Race in America is a goddam joke. Black men had the right to vote since 1870. Johnson abolished the conditions that blacks had to meet in order to vote. The first black man vote in 1870 and and women 50 yrs later. Blacks were still voting between 1870 and 1964. Women didn't have a chance to pass the literacy exam or pay a poll tax and when they marched they also got beaten and jailed.

How many black men stood next to them in the fight?

And how many white woman stood hand in hand with black men on the march?

The primaries were forever tainted by the back room brokering. Except this time it wasn't just pink-faced men. After their closed proceedings - a violation - they came out and give Obama delegates from a state in which his name was not on the ballot. Hos is that not cheating by any mama's standards?

The nomination of barry was fundamentally illegal. Thus the entire process is tainted start to finish.

Step back and think if the colors were reversed. Never happen. That is prejudice. 'That is The Double Standard.

CNN - Discussion of superdelegates

BRAZILE: (2:35)"796 superdelegates. I was appointed in 1998 by Bill Clinton and Al Gore and Dick Gephardt, and yes, our role is to help build the party, not to decide elections. I get two votes. I get a vote on Tuesday here in the Democratic primary in the District of Columbia. That vote is mine. But as a superdelegate, I believe that vote belongs to the American people...And Therefore I will withhold committing to any candidate until the voters decide..."

And how neutral was she? What a joke. She may not have officially committed but it was clear who she endorsed. Whatever integrity she once may have had is completely zip. Her attitude with Begala about white blue collar workers was insane. Just how many hardworking, blue collar or whatever else you want to say were Clinton's demographic? How many black voters at all were going her way?

TIME's MARK HALPERIN: "The superdelegates exist. And Donna and the others can say this is unfortunate, this shouldn't decide it. I think two things are true: All this will be fine if the superdelegates take their responsibility seriously - if they pick the person who would be the best president, rather than whose the stronger arm twister when the people are trying to get their votes from the obama/clinton camps. The other thing is, what's dangerous for the democratic party, if this is decided by the superdelegates...the loser is going to have to deal with the implications of that. And if the loser wants to take up the battle cry that this is undemocratic, the democrat party is going to have a hideous convention in Denver."

HOWARD DEAN: I think we will have a nominee sometime in middle of March or April -- but if we don't, uhm, then we will have to, were gonna have to, uh, have, make some kind of, get the candidates get together and raise some kind of arrangement. Because I don't think we can afford to have a brokered convention. That would not be good news for either party. (or his boy barry...)

FOREMAN: Chairman saying superdelegates are a bad idea, essentially, because if they really make the decision, they shouldn't be making the decision. So why don't you get rid of them?

BRAZILE: We should not get rid of the superdelegates. [because barry can't win otherwise.] We should wait till voters in Nebraska, Louisiana, Washington State, West Virginia, North Carolina, Texas and Ohio. We should wait until they vote. Let's listen to the voters in Pennsylvania - give them an opportunity to speak and at the end of the day, after all of the voters have spoken, if we don't have a clear nominee, then the superdelegates should throw their weight around...

TOM FOREMAN: How can you possibly not have a clear nominee? In the end somebody gets more votes than somebody else. End of story. (haha) All the superdelegates get on board with the more popular one. Why not?

BRAZILE: ...Why should we shut down a debate right now because of some fear of a brokered convention? This process will work it's way out. At the end of the day we will have a clear nominee sometime in May.

FOREMAN: Democrats screaming about what happened to Al Gore because of the electoral college and the courts I don't see how the party's possibly going to say to their followers across the country, now we've picked a candidate who didn't win the popular vote?

HALPERIN: Discusses vote vs delegates..."For this cycle, I think they all should just focus on a simple thing: Who they think the best president will be. If they do that, they can all have a clear conscience and the candidate can feel good about it and not think it's based on BACK ROOM DEALS."

FOREMAN: What do you think happens if it goes down to the superdelegates and HC & BO are essentially tied?...You don't tug on Donna Brazile's cape....Comes to a coin flip and they become a ticket." (7:40)

Brazile's face shows no way the DNC & SD are going t allow that.

FOREMAN: "You have suggested that you will quit if you have to pick the winner."

BRAZILE: I believe that if this process is prematurely shut down because we want to rush to get a nominee because we want to take on John McCain -- meaning we will not hear the voters in the upcoming primaries and caucuses, I will vacate my position on the DNC....But I will not support a party that shut the vote down. On that note, we'll have to do something about the vote in Florida and Michigan - those two states did not comply with the rules, but we should find a way to ensure that the voters in those two states have a voice in this process.

(September update: Now it's ok to call this demographic white working class...walmart, hockey moms and barry still doesn't have them. But Begala and Clinton are racists. Shows how little integrity she and the rest of the obama camp have and how they used the race card to win. Undeniable proof everywhere, especially when they tried to use the race card against McCain. (Dollar bills) And Halperin? SHRC took the high route that not a single obamabot would have taken. The country would have rioted. But SHRC?
