Sex offender wins lotto meant to benefit sex abuse charity

I was looking for an update on Gov Palin's Wasilla Bible Church arson (there isn't any) and ran across this on KTUU 2 news.

Alec Ahsoak of Anchorage, a three-time sex offender (caught only three times sexually abusing a minor) won a raffle that was meant to benefit Standing Together Against Rape (STAR) - a sex abuse victims charity. He won $500K (net 350k) in the first statewide lotto. When he was found out he said he was going to donate $100K to STAR. What is the chance of that happening? There's something despicably disgusting about this that goes beyond irony. There should be something to stop him from receiving it. At least the public knows who he is now.

I didn't know that Alaska had the highest rate of sexual abuse in the US. Maybe that's why newly elected US Senator Al Franken (MN-D) thought it would be ok to write a SNL incest "sketch" directed at Todd Palin.

Pres Clinton on Sen Clinton's appointment

Not sure why people expect Mr Bill to go everywhere Sen Clinton does. She is her own person in her own well-deserved, well-earned position as a successful ex-candidate for president. The press of course can't separate them and want Mr Bill to stay on the picture. I wonder if Amy Poehler is thinking twice about coming back to SNL. Anyway. Here are his comments per CNN. Who writes these statements? Does he even know what they say?

As an American, I am thankful that President-elect Barack Obama has asked Hillary to be Secretary of State and that she has accepted. As her husband, I am deeply proud.

She is the right person for the job of helping to restore America's image abroad, end the war in Iraq, advance peace and increase our security, by building a future for our children with more partners and fewer adversaries, one of shared responsibilities and opportunities.

She has already earned the respect of foreign leaders and diplomats through her work to promote human rights and the empowerment of women through access to education, healthcare and economic opportunity. And Americans know, from her leadership in the Senate on national security, that she will always put the security, values and the interests of our people first.

In her service to the people of New York and our nation, Hillary has demonstrated the knowledge, passion, resilience, and capacity to learn that our country needs at this critical time. She loves being a Senator from New York, but as she has in all the thirty-seven years I've known her, she answered the call to serve.

I commend President-Elect Obama for asking her to be a part of a great national security team. America will be well-served.

I'm glad he always mentions women. It will be the oppressed women who put an end to the violence - especially in the middle east. The question is how many more murdered Americans will it take?

Chevy Chase...again

Chevy Chase is at it again. Like a cockroach crawling out to bask in the popularity of SNL, which, ironically, would not be happening if there were no Gov Palin being Gov Palin. Supposedly he is on a charity junket but the things he has been saying have not at all been charitable. CNN did a Q & A. Found two things interesting.

CNN: About Tina Fey and Gov Palin.

CNN: What do you think of Tina Fey's portrayal of Sarah Palin?

Chase: I think it's actually very spot on. ... I think, though, what Tina is saying is -- and she has also admitted it -- "This woman is not a dumb woman, she's a smart woman, so am I, Tina Fey. Neither of us are smart enough to be the president, though."

CNN: So having said that, what do you think then the impact is? You touched on your impact on Ford and his presidency ...

Chase: I think more now then ever the impact is great because of how much larger the impact of the media is generally on people's lives, all sorts of media. ... I mean so there's so many outlets, but people just spend so much of their time in front of their computers and watching television in their computer.

CNN: Is ["SNL's" politics] fair?

Chase: Fair? What do you mean fair? They're an all-purpose comedy show. Of course it's fair, it's satire, it's what it is, and it's fair, if you have your own television show, to give your own opinion. ... They didn't let Barack off the hook a lot either, you know, when they said, "Is there anything you would like sir, a little more coffee. ... "

Of course it's fair. I mean really, the whole thing about that show is get the laugh; it always has been, and it always will be.

Opinion yes - but the opinion is consistently against someone and for another. That is not fair in an election. It borders on propaganda. Why Chirs Dodd's appearance for? Because Sen Clinton was getting the press? And asking barry to get some coffee does to even begin to compare to calling Todd Palin and incester. Especially when Barry's only connection to slavery is his ancestors kept slave. What hasn't been said about the Palin family? And the Man Above the Fray stood by and did nothing to stop it. And now he's whining about his wife. Can't have it both ways. Well yes he can. Double standard.

SNL: Incest is funny

This is beyond disgusting. It shows how far barry supporters will go to win. How is incest funny? Ever? Aren't there enough other things out there to attack? The more attention Gov Palin is given (stolen away from the messiah) the more desperate the MSM and Democrats become. Can't barry do anything by himself? Who's going to having his back in the WH? I don't want to include this but it must be documented like all the other unbelievably nasty and tasteless things the barrybotlets have done.

"Skit"

New York Times reporters are sitting around an assignment meeting discussing what about Palin to investigate next. Guest host James Franco (Who is he? He looks like Jame Dean but sucks as an actor.) He wants to see how many reporters want to go home - a spoof on the ridiculous MSM's wimpiness. It would have been funny all by itself. There was no need to add the incest, which was clearly done with intent and venom. Totally pathetic.

One reporter asks: "What about the husband? You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska."

Franco then sets up the joke of proving a negative, saying, "He very well could be. Admittedly, there is no evidence of that, but on the other hand, there is no convincing evidence to the contrary. And these are just some of the lingering questions about Governor Palin."

Then there's some real comedy about the reasons why the reporters want to leave. But then the ending:

After three of the reporters agree to go to Alaska, one sues for sexual discrimination after being called "sweetie" by a school board member, one is killed by a polar bear and a final reporter wins a Pulitzer for "unproven, yet un-disproven incest in the Palin family" and then is killed by a polar bear driving a "snow machine."

How is that funny? Sweetie? How lame. And then a Pulitzer Prize? The should have called out ARC XIX for her disgusting attacks on Gov and Bristol Palin.

And then the final shot is an image of a New York Times page, featuring headlines: "While No Direct Evidence of Incest in Palin Family Emerges, Counter Evidence Remains Agonizingly Elusive" and "In a Small Alaska Town, Doubts Still Linger."

What is there to say after that? Three weeks they have been after her. Her view is abortion under no circumstances, which has been born out in her own life: Trig has Down's Syndrome and her teenage daughter is pregnant. But incest? And then Randi Rhodes rants about hiw teenage boys aren't safe around Sarah Palin. Disgusting. It's NBC - what else do you expect?

Jesse --we need to investigate her tears -- Jackson. I only watched the beginning but I'm sure there's a digression about race. Didn't hear much when Barry was on a roll but as soon as he needs a boost racism makes it way back out. I'm so tired of hearing the same thing. And what has the great uniter done about transcending it? One speech...sound familiar? Anyway listen to barry mention SNL. It's clear he watches it but has said nothing about the incest "skit". There's nothing his followers won't stoop to.
