Dear Sheriff - I have already wasted words ranting at you so I will keep this short.

You should be ashamed of yourself. You wanted your 15 seconds of shame and you got it.

Are you proud of yourself? Are you proud of your use of resources?

Did you get the reaction you were seeking?

While you were investigating this ridiculousness against Micheal Phelps - who had already apologized for his behavior and was already shamed beyond recompense - how many women were beaten by their boyfriends or raped by their spouses in your jurisdiction?

How many children were destroyed for life by pedophiles and unregistered sex offenders in your jurisdiction?

How many single mothers lost their jobs in your jurisdiction?

How many seniors lost their homes in your jurisdiction?

How many parents were sent to war and how many came home battered and broken to your jurisdiction?

Could you not have used your resources to sit and talk with them? To ask them how they are coping? To simply say thank you?

They are over there fighting for your family's freedom and you chose to bring shame to the greatest American Olympian - something they could take pride in as an American - instead of welcoming them home.

Look into the camera with your hand on the Bible and swear that you never took one hit, one pill, one snort, one shot or one anything of any illegal substance and then American children can take you seriously.

Rant alert

Yes. This again. I know I haven't been able to post much in the last couple of days on barry because this has me so pist off. Who is the scumbag who took that picture? If they wanted press and notoriety then why aren't they stepping up and saying they did it? And the British tabloid deserves to go out of business and the editor who made the decisions should go to prison for selling their soul. What a wonderful way to make a living.

All you other cowards who know - why aren't you saying anything?

Scumbag, are you happy about what you did? Are you proud of yourself as an American - or are you one?

Do you see what your selfish actions have done?

How bad were you feeling about yourself that you had to do it in the first place?

Did you get what you wanted?

Will your children be proud of what you did? Your mother? Your brother? Your sister?

Clearly you are not proud of your actions or you would be standing proudly taking questions at a press conference. I hope you obtained that photo illegally and I hope you rot in hell.

Did you ever once, just once, think of what you were doing?

Did you ever have a thought, just one thought, of what would happen to Micheal Phelps' mother?

Do you have a mother?

Would you want this to happen to her?

If you are so proud, come forth and tell your mother from a press conference how proud she should be of your actions.

If you are so proud, come forth and tell us why you were in the room in the first place and then tell us you did not have a hit.

Is that why you are hiding?

Are you waiting till the TCH clears your system?

If what Phelps' did was so criminal that you felt the entire world needed to know - then come forward and take a urine test. Give us a sample of your hair for testing. Stand up and tell us that you have never taken a hit off a bong.

Then, tell us how you would feel after working your entire life to achieve athletic excellence only to have some scumbag with absolutely no morals - yes, no morals - sell a photo that could ruin your life and ruin the futures of kids you were going to help.

That there will be kids now who won't be able to go to a safe place to swim because the funding was taken away by your selfish actions?

Pattern of behavior? How many people have a pattern of behavior and dedication their entire lives only to have it taken away by a scumbag whose heroic act took one second?

Female genital mutilation

The U.S. attorney general is trying to prevent immigration authorities from sending a Muslim woman to her home country, where she was a victim of female genital mutilation. Attorney General Michael Mukasey ordered an immigration court to reconsider an African woman's case.

In a stinging order overriding federal immigration courts, Mukasey blasted a decision that said a 28-year-old citizen and native of Mali should be expelled "because her genitalia already had been mutilated [so] she had no basis to fear future persecution if returned to her home country."

*In the actual papers filed: "Nevertheless, nothing that the respondent had been subjected to the practice as a young girl and did 'not even recall' the experience, the Immigration Judge found that the respondent had neither proved past persecution nor satisfied the burden of establishing the legal grounds for the relief she sought."*

Subjected to? Practice? Aka torture and mutilation. Satisfied the burden? No basis fear future persecution? Who stopped the first one? And when they find out she sought asylum and brought the issue to light? And if it were a case of an amputated or partially amputated penis? Would they send him back because there would be no reason for further persecution?

The woman, a native of Mali, begged the court not to send her back to her Bambara tribe. The 28-year-old said if she returned and had a daughter, the child also would be subject to mutilation. The woman also said she faced forced marriage if she had to go home.

*In the actual papers filed, she stated that "if she were to return to Mali, she would be forced to marry her first cousin, and that she feared her 'father would hurt her mother' if she resisted 'her father's and her tribe's wishes' in respect to both 'the arranged marriage' and female genital mutilation."*

Do they engage in male genital mutilation anywhere?

Female genital mutilation is not necessarily a one-time event," Mukasey said. He noted that the board in a previous case had granted asylum in to one woman whose "vaginal opening was sewn shut approximately five times after being opened to allow for sexual intercourse and child birth."

So is that the threshold? Did she qualify because it happened "approximately" five times? And what examinations do these mutilated women have to undergo? Who performs them? Men or women? And who oversees that the women are not victimized once again?

The mutilators don't use anesthesia and rarely mutilate under sterile conditions to prevent infection. They hold the girls down and start cutting - the mother and females relatives restraining them. The clitoris has approximately 10,000 nerve endings as compared to the penis, which has approx 3000. The urethra (where the urine exits) is in close proximity to the clitoris and often gets damaged, resulting in life-long urinary difficulties and recurrent infections. The inner walls of the vagina can become scarred, causing any type of sexual activity to be extremely painful - or even walking or contact by clothing. Childbirth can be potentially lethal to both the mother and fetus because of birth canal scarring. The cervix, uterus and the rectum can all be damaged. These mutilations are not done by trained surgeons - they are most often done by the elders.What happens to the men who did it and the mother who stood by and allowed it?

He also concluded that the Board of Immigration Appeals was wrong to assume that the woman "must fear persecution in exactly the same form [namely, repeat female genital mutilation] to qualify for relief."

The woman to qualify for "relief" must "fear prosecutions in exactly the same form"? What woman wouldn't? And what caused the need for "relief" in the first place? As is it won't happen again? Who's going to stop it? Nobody did the first time.

Mukasey had been urged to look into the matter by angered members of Congress in the wake of the January decision.

"This recent action taken by the Board of Immigration Appeals is a step backward for the rights of women worldwide," declared Rep. John Conyers, D-Michigan, in a January letter.

"Female genital mutilation is a gross violation of a woman's human rights and has traditionally been grounds for the granting of an asylum claim," Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-California, said in the letter.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, issued a statement applauding Mukasey's action, and declaring female genital mutilation a "barbaric practice widely regarded as a human rights abuse."

Leahy sound fmiliar? Barbaric practice? Widely regarded? Human rights abuse? It's far beyond human rights abuse and it should be regarded as so by everyone.

The Justice Department acknowledged it is extraordinarily rare for an attorney general to jump into a relatively low-level immigration case.

Relatively "low-level" immigration case? Would they say that if their son's penis was amputated? What does it take for a baseball player from Cuba to get asylum?

The immigration courts decide about 40,000 cases a year, and an attorney general has issued an opinion on a case only three times in the past three years.

Female genital mutilation is common in parts of Africa, Asia and in some Arab countries, according to the United Nations. The operation is viewed by some ethnic groups as a means to control a woman's sexuality and is sometimes a prerequisite for marriage or the right to inherit.

The procedure can cause tissue injury, severe infection and fever, among other complications. The U.N. has recorded cases in which hemorrhaging and infection lead to death.

And how many more doesn't the UN know about? How many more mutilations have taken place since the UN recorded those cases? And did the UN count the death of their souls?

Gov Palin CLEARED ON ALL CHARGES

Governor palin has been cleared of all charges. She did not violate any laws. Of course they raise the issue of barry's aunt being the issue . Well not her - the "leak". But it's not a coincidence the board comes out when it no longer matters and can no directly help them win. The way all this happens and they ways the two sides are treated in the election is very disheartening as an American citizen. Propaganda, Bush, DNC and money won this election for barry. I no longer care what you think of me - not that I ever had.

"There is no probable cause to believe that Governor Palin violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act by making the decision to dismiss Department of Public Safety Commissioner Monegan," said Timothy Petumenos, investigator to the personnel board. "There is no probable cause to believe that Governor Palin violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in any other respect in connection with the employment of Alaska State Trooper Michael Wooten."

At a routine meeting, the board surprised attendees by announcing that its investigator would release his findings yesterday. [Surprised?]

The legislature's investigator, Stephen Branchflower, found evidence that Palin actively joined her husband, Todd, in pursuing a personal vendetta against the trooper and that she used state employees to try to settle a score in a bitter family feud.

Petumenos said his findings are different because "the wrong statute was used as a basis for the conclusions contained in the Branchflower report" and Branchflower "misconstrued the available evidence."

She's cleared after she's been thoroughly discredited and not solely by her actions.What man who claims he has a righteous wind at his back allows his opponents to treated as he had while he did nothing? That is no man of character. Doesn't matter. Gov Plain has been vindicated. barry becoming president vindicates his faith in the American people...like his wife said she was proud for the first time.

Hey Mattie and all. This is getting too depressing. Obama is such a fraud. Why is he really in Hawaii? Last trip Edwards story just popped up even though they knew about it before Edwards even ran for president but keeping him in the race allowed the votes to be diluted which led to an Obama victory in Iowa. Michelle Obama's America

Here is Michelle Obama's view of America, the country she is for the first time in her life proud of. There's no doubting what she means or how she says it. This is the potential First Lady of the United States talking derogatorily about "that's America". The same America that nominated her husband. The same America that has him ahead in the polls. The same America where 8 million eligible black voters haven't found the time to register to vote to elect the first black man president of the United States of that same America, but threaten to riot if he isn't elected. The same America that will be called racist for not having voted in her husband. This is what she thinks of America after her husband teleprompted a speech on racial tolerance. A man who runs on unity, but uses the race card as his primary tactic.

I ask you has anyone ever heard him say, even once, hey I'm half-white, let's get passed this? Or remember the speech I gave where I equated my 86-year-old typical white person grandmother who raised, housed, fed and loved me to a hateful raging anti-American anti-White man who thinks Jews and Italians are inferior and that the government invented AIDS and were responsible for 9-11? The man who Obama allowed to remain an adviser in his official presidential campaign after he raged at his Christmas service that (the Former First Lady) "Hillary ain't never been called no Nigger"!?

For the record: Obama was at that service. Why else didn't the Secret Service say he wasn't?

RANT ALERT: Newsweek's double standard cover of Governor Palin

The cover is a despicable attempt by barry's propaganda machine to discredit Gov Palin at her very core and strength as a charismatic, attractive woman. Every pix of barry in the magazine and online has been perfectly well-lit and airbrushed. Gov Palin's pix was an extreme close-up showing black heads, pores, a mustache and incompletely plucked eyebrows. All that was missing was the spinach in her teeth.

Gov Palin has been attacked as a human being, an Alaskan, an inarticulate hey ya yahoo, mother, a mother of a "DISABLED INFANT WHO WILL BE A DRAIN ON TAXPAYERS SO WHY DIDN'T SHE JUST ABORT IT", a mother who lied about her pregnancy and gave birth to her grandchild (lie), a hypocritical mother because her teenage daughter became pregnant, a mother who wants to charge rape victims for their rape kits (lie), a mother who doesn't care if women are raped and/or incested (beyond words), a mother people "would like to fuck" (beyond disgusting), a mother who is using her son's deployment (to courageously serve our country) as a political scheme, a loose woman who teenagers aren't safe around, a wife of a husband who commits incest, a crazy lady who wants to ban books (lie) but can't read herself, a woman who appeals just to "mindless WalMart moms", a ruthless killer of animals, an empty-headed ditzball of a beauty queen whose only talent is looking good in a bathing suit, an uneducated politician who went to different colleges and aspired to be a sportscaster (herr olbermann), an incompetent and dirty politician who has no future and, of course, the familiar refrain: she's a racist....all in what six weeks?

It is a testament to Senator Clinton for having survived decades of sexism and blatant misogyny. How far have we come as a nation? A black man can become president while his female opponents are destroyed in any and every fashion without the supposed man above the fray, grand uniter and transcender of race stepping up even ONCE to say stop. Michelle Bernard remarked on the night of barry's nomination: "THIS IS THE GREATEST MOMENT IN THIS NATION'S HISTORY." At what cost and to whom? If this is the greatest moment in our nation's history then something is very wrong.

Well. It's happened. As predicted. Tony Rezko's about to give it up. The question is how much and about who? He didn't like sharing undies with fellow prisoners and it must've gotten him thinking about the next 20yrs. Maybe he took a final look at his former friend, grant bestower and boss's poll numbers and figured he couldn't quite count on a presidential pardon. Curious how his sentencing was pushed back to late October. Wonder how much they want about barry vs Mayor Daley vs Gov Blagojevich? They have bunkbeds up in Wisconsin? Rezko, Ryan and Blagojevich can all be suitemates...keep the bed waiting for another famous IL resident. Imagine if it was McCain's former campaign finance advisor? His governor? It's absolutely laughable what the MSM has allowed barry to get away with. Why don't the Rep care? Do they want to win or not? I get the sense that McCain enjoys knocking the barrybots (including the DNC/MSM) off their game...not that it's very hard. Axelrod finally came out of hiding and while he whined Burton came out and did an about face. They don't have a damn clue what's going on without the MSM tearing apart his opponent. Howard Dean's brother's ad is just another example of how low the bots will got to get their Chosen One coronated. RANT of the day: Alma Campbell Brown

CNN's Campbell Brown, provides the (humorous) rant of the day. She has a very interesting take on "sexism". She believes Palin is getting sexist treatment because the press hasn't had equal access to her. That Sen McCain is treating her like "a delicate flower who will wilt at any moment" by shielding her from the pro-Obama MSM.

Hmm. How shielded has Gov Palin been? How much has her family been attacked? How much of her life hasn't been probed? And Sen McCain is the one treating Gov Palin in a sexist fashion by keeping her from the media because she might wilt like a flower? CNN should be happy Gov Palin hasn't fully set her sights on Obama because she would have no problem field dressing him. NY Times?

By the way, has Sasha and Malia's cellphones and email accounts been hacked into? Mrs Obama's Blackberry? And which way would the media outrage be coming from? Offense or defense?

What kind of beauty queen goes on after taking all that Gov Palin has taken in the last three weeks? Especially the bestial attacks on her and her daughter and their respective pregnancies.

How long did Kerry last? How well is Obama doing now that he isn't the media darling? Gov Palin is not being shielded as a measure of chauvinism - that term was outmoded before Ms Brown was birthed - the press has already gone after her in typical sexist fashion and she refuses to take the bait.

Ms Brown needs to understand what sexism entails. Sexist treatment is the manner in which the MSM (including her) have gone after Gov Palin's family and attacked her as a woman and mother rather than a politician. Sexist treatment includes how she has had things said about her physical appearance to cheapen her standing as a politician. Sexism is revealed in the glee in the man's eyes.

Here is Ms Brown's clueless rant. It shows why CNN (and the rest of the MSM) has no clue what sexism really is.

And Obama? Who let him walk away from the podium after he answered like, eight questions, already? Was that sexist? Racist? No - it was clear, indefensible evidence of pro-Obama MSM corruption.

I call upon the McCain campaign to stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower who will wilt at any moment.

And I call upon you, Ms Brown, to stop whining and to do your job. How much were you called upon to stop the sexist treatment of Sen Clinton? How often have you been called on to stop your obvious pro-Obama bias? And how much have you listened? You expect others to listen to what you have to say now? This woman is from Alaska for crying out loud. She is strong, she is tough, she is confident. And you claim she is ready to be one heartbeat away from the presidency. If that is the case, then end this chauvinistic treatment of her now. Allow her to show her stuff.

What percentage of CNN stories have been on her personal life vs her political one? And who are these "pesky" reporters and for whom do they work and for whom are they for?

By treating Sarah Palin differently from other candidates in this race, you are not showing her the respect she deserves.

It seems you've forgotten, Ms Brown, or maybe never were taught that you are to be unbiased. Your rant clearly says otherwise. If you (CNN/MSM) treated all the candidates with equal scrutiny - there would be no whining about fair treatment, and sexism wouldn't be defined by CNN's lack of access to a candidate.

Here's a hint about sexism: Gov Palin is not being censored against her will. She is not being told what she has to say is not worth being heard. She is not being told by McCain that she should shut her pretty face and sit in a corner. If she so wants, she could sit down and chat to your expectations and then watch her words be twisted in a sexist way.

Gov Palin is being a savvy politician - she knows a hostile environment when she sees one. On a different level, was it sexism when Mrs Obama went into hiding and refused to speak with the media while she crammed and got a make-over? The first lady is held to the highest standards in the land. At least Sen Clinton was.

When Republicans get aggressive, it's "dirty." When Obama gets aggressive, it's "feisty." Exorteth the One: "I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.

Team Obama is so committed to this "face-to-face" shock troop campaign that it is now busing activists from state to state ("Drive for Change!") to target undecided voters — and offering subsidies to volunteers. In advance of Obama's rally in Nevada, California field director Mary Jane Stevenson organized a pilgrimage to boost the crowd numbers with housing incentives: "Face-to-face contact with undecided voters is the single most effective way to grow this movement. No experience is required, and we'll help you make the trip as easily as possible with either housing in Nevada or discounted group rates at an area hotel."

I respected you when you said you would remain out of politics but you did anyway. How else can your endorsement be explained other than identity politics? How much pressure were you getting from the black community? Didn't they think you were "black enough" with your screaming rich white lady audiences and white hollywood celebrities? How could you pretend it was ok to endorse someone who has been wright's disciple for twenty years? You know who wright is, you know what he represents and you know who he associates himself with and yet you said nothing. You have lost my respect. And why did you go into hiding after Iowa? Here's a good ol pink-faced sexist from Vermont, Sen Patrick Leahy. Just one of the many Obamafans who raged and ragged at "Hillary" to just get out already. Everyday they did that. (HOST) Will a protracted battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination hurt the Party's chances of winning the November election?

Senator Patrick Leahy, who supports Obama, says the answer is yes, and he thinks Clinton should drop out of the race. But Clinton's supporters in Vermont have a very different opinion.

VPR's Bob Kinzel reports:

KINZEL: It's a question that's being raised in political discussions on the radio, on TV, in newspapers and in the blogs. And the results of a new poll highlight the danger for the Democrats if their presidential primary contest gets any nastier.

According to a new Gallup poll, 28% of Hillary Clinton's supporters say they'd vote for GOP candidate John McCain if Barack Obama wins the Democratic nomination and 19% of Obama's supporters say they'd vote for McCain if Clinton is the Party's nominee.

Senator Patrick Leahy, who's a super delegate supporting Obama, is clearly worried about this situation:

LEAHY: "I am very concerned. John McCain, who has been making one gaffe after another, is getting a free ride on it because Senator Obama and Senator Clinton have to fight with each other. I think that her criticism is hurting him more than anything John McCain has said. I think that's unfortunate.

KINZEL: Leahy says it's virtually impossible for Clinton to win more elected delegates than Obama, and as a result, he thinks it's time for her to accept defeat:

LEAHY: There is no way that Senator Clinton is going to win enough delegates to get the nomination. She ought to withdraw and she ought to be backing Senator Obama. Now, obviously that's a decision that only she can make. Frankly, I feel that she would have a tremendous career in the Senate.

Frankly, does it get more patronizing than that? And what in the hell kind of career has he had? Never heard of him before this. Never heard of most of those pink-faced old boys who came out bashing Sen Clinton...mostly presidential failures. Whose fault is it that Bush is in the White House? Al Gore & Donna Brazile & Kerry & Edwards. No Bush no Iraq.

KINZEL: Former Governor Madeleine Kunin is the co-chair of the Clinton campaign in Vermont. She thinks Leahy is dead wrong on this issue:

KUNIN: It is premature, to tell her to drop out now is just unfair because it isn't over. Admittedly, it's tough for Senator Clinton to get a majority of the delegates but it's not over till it's over. It seems a bit Patronizing to tell her 'Honey, you know you've got to drop out for the good of the Party.' Sure it's not easy, but I think the process has to go forward as it was designed to go.

KINZEL: And Kunin thinks, in the end, the Democrats will unite behind one of these candidates:

KUNIN: I think both Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton know that what everybody wants in the Democratic party is a winner and some of this is just inevitable. But I think they will unite and I'm confident that judging by the turnout at every Democratic primary which has been unprecedented that Democrats will do very well in November.

KINZEL: It's likely that roughly 800 super delegates will ultimately decide this race. Vermont has 7 super delegates - five are supporting Obama, one is backing Clinton and one person - former governor and now D.N.C. chairman Howard Dean is neutral.

Howard Dean neutral? When did that happen?

The obligatory "statement" from Leahy once someone told him what a sexist he was.

Any clear-eyed (non-hormonal?)appraisal of the campaign at this stage adds up to two conclusions: The bottom line is that, first, Senator Obama continues to hold a lead that appears to be insurmountable (then why the worry?) and recent indications are that more and more unpledged delegates have begun to add their support to his column.

And second, John McCain, who has been making one mistake after another, is getting a free ride on those gaffes, because the Democratic candidates have to focus not on him but on each other.

Senator Casey's endorsement of Senator Obama in Pennsylvania is the latest sign of how the race is going. (Yeah, his teenage daughters told him to endorse Obama.)

A Democratic victory in November is important to the future and to the change in course that the American people want and deserve. The last thing the American people need is for Senator McCain to continue a third term for President Bush.

Senator Clinton has every right, but not a very good reason, (Because she poses a serious threat to Barry?) to remain a candidate for as long as she wants to. (Well, thank you, Mr President.) As far as the delegate count and the interests of a Democratic victory in November go, there is not a very good reason for drawing this out. But as I have said before, that is a decision that only she can make. (And yet you raged on the radio that she ought to get out and she ought to endorse barry.)

Senator Clinton has begun a tremendous career in the Senate, and she has a bright future ahead of her. She faces difficult decisions ahead, and I wish her the best.

He thinks women can't understand: "bright future ahead of her"? Hear of racial "code words"? Well, there are even more sexist "code words" if the outright words and dismissive body language isn't clear enough. "Bright future ahead of her" is what women hear when they're being passed over by a man with little or no experience for the job.
