Video of the day: Pacman Bank Bandit

November 23, 2009

Liveleak

Streetsboro, Ohio: Man walks into a bank and hands the teller a note demanding money. He leaves with money (with dye pack) and his note and flees in dark colored Escort. Police pull over a black Ford Escort and find in the vehicle a .38-caliber pistol and a wad of cash covered in red ink. Police handcuff the now suspect and escort him back to the cruiser where the dashcam picks up the action. Police empty the content of the man’s pockets on to the hood. Man sees large square of white paper (presumed bank robbery note), leans over and gobbles it up. Investigators ask for the note – police review the video and voila! mystery solved.

(No audio)

Patrolman Daniel Biada:

He grabbed it in his mouth, just like Pacman.

Devin Hester’s, uh, wardrobe malfunction (video)

For mature viewers – partial nudity.

The only thing memorable about the game besides Peanut Tillman.

I thought there was supposed to a delay to catch these sort of things…

BGT’s Susan Boyle singing “Cry Me a River”

April 17, 2009

I think the beauty of her voice comes through here more than BGT’s but the audience reaction is what made the other video.

BritainSoTalented

From a charity CD made in 1999 of which only 1000 copies were made. It was her first recording. 10 years ago she could have been discovered. Honestly, how could they look past her voice? Maybe they couldn’t look past her appearance, which I find just fine. Her spirit and sense of humor come right through. It’s quite refreshing. As the youngest of 9, it’s clear she can hold her own - even through the snickers and insults.

The Daily Record’s LAURA COVENTRY:

Susan has lived alone with her cat Pebbles since her mum Bridget died two years ago at the age of 91.

She has admitted that she has never been on a date or even been kissed but she was too shy to discuss her spinster lifestyle on CBS.

Aaah, no comment. I don’t want to talk about that.

Sawyer asked Susan what she would do with the prize money if she won, but she replied:

Well, it’s just baby steps at the moment, we shall see how things progress.

Susan wouldn’t rule out having a makeover as part of Britain’s Got Talent, telling Sawyer:

You’ll have to watch the programme and find out.

But she did admit there would be no repeat of the dance steps she showed off on Saturday.

That’s it. Let’s try and keep it ladylike.

Susan suffered a mild form of brain damage at birth and she admitted to Sawyer that she was bullied when she was younger.

They did a bit, but they always do that with someone who is quiet and I tended to be quiet at school. Well, they have turned around. They are nice to me now, so we will move on from there.

Susan said her friends and family were “gobsmacked” by her success. And when Sawyer asked what she would say to her late parents if she could, she replied:

I would like to say thank you for supporting me over the years, thank you for looking after me and I hope I can make you proud.

She added:

I went on the audition to see how far I could get but the standard is very high. You need a lot of hard work and perseverance to make it.

I think there is room for improvement though.

Video of the day: “One take” LeBron James shot

March 31, 2009

Here’s Lebron James’ incredible shot when he was being interviewed for 60 Minutes by Steve Kroft.

Reminded me of the Tiger Woods ad where he bounced the ball off his wedge and then hit a homer.

It wasn’t meant to be a commercial. Woods was just entertaining the crowd while they were setting up for the real commerical. This was the fourth take.

blago: "I f*cked it up!"

February 1, 2009

Blago on his media blitz stops by DL Hughley and gives a live version of what was on the tapes. blago comes off as a regular guy who just "f*cked it up!" If it was planned to show how it just comes out it was a brilliant move. Either way it worked for him. You can't but help this guy. No matter - what he delivers something memorable. I hope he doesn't act as his own lawyer in his trial.

08blatz

BLAGO: That's gonna get me in trouble

DL: Right. Man, you're already in trouble.

BLAGO: I f*cked it up.

DL: Ay-iii

They laugh and so does the audience.

BLAGO: Oh, shit!

DL: I'm a bad influence

BLAGO: Oh shit - they're gonna throw me out anyway. Who cares?

DL: I'm a bad influence.

BLAGO: Alright, let's go.

DL: This is my best day ever at this job. F*ck the governor.
