barry likes to mention what evil lobbyists are and how he will not employ any and yet the truth is anything but. He has one as his senior advisor: David Axelrod. Axelrod runs his lobbying firm right out of the office he works for barry in. In Illinois, Axelrod doesn't have to register as a lobbyist so technically he is not Washington lobbyist, which Mr Transparency thinks is ok.
barry: What's most outrageous is not the morally offensive conduct on behalf of these lobbyists and legislators, but the morally offensive laws and decisions that get made as a result.
barry's outrage is morally offensive. Gov Blagojevich is one example of the crazy rules Illinois has - doesn't have - to allow the Daley Machine to flourish. Another used to great effect by barry is the *Present* vote.

Ayers' dad was major bigwig for Commonwealth Edison. Exelon has been exposed as far as their barry connection. Not worth trying to dig that up out of the drafts. It's all out there. NY Times I believe.
David Axelrod, barry's chief strategist was (still is?) Senior Partner at ASK Public Strategies - located in the same office from which he directs barry's campaign -- a consulting firm that was basically trying to scam the public into a pay hike for Commonwealth Edison. They pretended to be a consumer group warning of an energy crisis, all the while being paid by Commonwealth Edison.
He says he's not a lobbyist because he never denied where the money came from and never worked in Washington. He is not required to register as a lobbyist in Illinois. barry saying he is going to clean up Washington - lobbyists in Washington - never once mentioning his home state. Now you know why.
According to (6-2-08) NEWSWEEK'S MICHEAL ISIKOFF:
Last year, [even as he managed barry's campaign - barry saying he doesn't accept money from Lobbysists] ASK last year proposed a similar "political campaign style approach" to help Illinois hospitals block a state proposal that would have forced them to provide more medical care to the indigent.
One part of its plan: create a "grassroots" group of medical experts "capable of contacting policymakers to advocate for our position," according to a copy of the proposal.
He didn't get the contract.
Public-interest watchdogs say these grassroots campaigns are state of the art in the lobbying world.
And especially suited to presidential candidates.
His corporate clients do have business in the capital.

One of them, Exelon, lobbied Obama two years ago on a nuclear bill.

The firm's executives and employees have also been a top source of cash for Obama's campaign, contributing $236,211.

Axelrod says he's never talked to Obama about Exelon matter. AXELROD: I'm not going to public officials with bundles of money on behalf of a corporate client.

And he did it right to your face and none of you ever questioned. Still aren't.
They laugh behind your back at how easy it is. You, dear supporters, are being played by a master. That is his true genius - the sheer audacity of his corruption. I hope some documentarians of the non-obamerized type document each and every lie and then graph them according to the polls and general court of public opinion and his habit of sitting back and letting his opponent react first.
Works because the proobamedia lets him.
barry's true genius is manipulation and political expedience. He knows how to win and has done whatever he has needed to do to be so. Lie. Refine the truth as in what the definition of *is* is. Get away with whatever he can until someone catches him and then it's: I didn't know. You can see where the "grassroots" came from. Plenty of practice. And as far as hospitals, recall that Mrs barry worked at University of Chicago Hospital with the main responsibility of finding ways to turn uninsured patients away from the ER to save the hospital money. Pay to play? Mrs barry's salary went from $121,910 to $316,962 two months after barry became US Senator. barry reciprocated - as he was expected - by submitting a $1M earmark for U of C - which was denied.
There are even more connections through Mayor Daley, Valerie Jarett, Mrs barry, Rezko and Arab businessmen but I'm too tired to dig it up from the other older blogs. And as if it even matters. It never mattered. Ever.
I wonder how much barama matthews knows about any of this? barry stumps on lobbyists and corrupt Washington and how he won't deal. And right in the face of the obamerized stands his top advisor, Davis Axelrod, deceiving away. But it's justified because he works outside of Washington. That's why barry only talk about corruption "in Washington". He leaves himself an out by not ever referring to Illinois.
Why hasn't anyone wondered where barry's Gov Rod Blagojevich has been?

Kind of funny last sentence. They aren't wondering any more about blagojevich and corruption. It wasn't like we haven't mentioned it since the beginning. How long before they get to the bottom of the Arab funding of Illinois politics. I have a lot more about this but I don't want our site to get completely blown up.
