barry tax cheat #5: Kathleen Sebelius

April 1, 2009

Ok, all together now: new cabinet member = another tax cheat.

The total thus far: 5 tax cheats + 5 cabinet defectors = barry’s superior judgment. Judd Gregg sure was an inspired choice. Played barry like a veteran politician. Wonder how many of his fellow Republicans bought him a drink. Boehner sure looks like he enjoys more than a few mint juleps. He was totally toasty when he talked about the contraceptives and the stimulus package.

And then then there’s Geithner’s four or so defectors - lost count. Maybe barry fired some of them, too. With Geithners approval and confidence ratings, I can see why no one wants to work for him. They probably were waiting for him to be fired - he doesn’t look like a resigner.

And what’s up with Larry Summers? The man looks medically ill. Seriously. I mean in all seriousness - he looks gray and puffy. What kind of diet does he follow?

Ok. Anyway. Gov Kathleen Sebelius his second choice for Health and Human Services - his first being Tom Daschle ($140K). She amended three years of tax returns and ended up paying $7,040 in back taxes and $878 in interest.

Three “unintentional errors”:

  • Unable to find documentation for 3/49 charitable contributions (needed when > $250)
  • Insufficient documentation for business expenses
  • Sold house for less than what they owed on the mortgage and continued to deduct interest from the payments.

What did Howard Dean have going on that he was appointed? Engineering barry’s coronation?

Have to say they are all different “mistakes” and “errors”. How many other people in barry’s administration owe back taxes? He claims transparency - he should allow and audit of all them and truly outrage the nation, especially after firing Chrysler’s GM and not Bank of America’s or Citigroup’s.

Does this man inspire confidence?

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner attended the G20 meeting Saturday in Horsham, England.

Treasury Secretary, Head of the IRS, tax cheat Timothy Geithner

Favorite excuse: I've only been on the job x weeks.

And why doesn't anyone want to work for him?

Cabinet defector #5: Charles Freeman

March 10, 2009

So how many nominees of barry’s have quit?

(1-4) Governor Bill Richardson for Commerce Secretary:

Under federal investigation for pay-to-play like blago - donors for state jobs routed through his own charities. Unable to be cleared by the FBI for confirmation.

How was he going to be president? Why was he allowed to run? The DNC knew - so why was he allowed to run? To dilute the field in Iowa to give barry a chance for his bused in Chicagoans to win the caucus for him. Same thing as adulterer John Edwards…who has finally admitted it is his baby.

(2-3) Tom Daschle for Secretary of Health and Human Services:

$128K unpaid taxes, reportedly made $5.2M off the industry he would be charged to clean up. His wife is also a serious lobbyist.

(2-3) Nancy Killefer for first ever Chief Performance Officer :

$946.69 in unemployment-compensation taxes for her household help. At least there no illegal immigration problems like Tim Geithner’s.

(2-13) Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) for Commerce Secretary #2

"I have found that on issues such as the stimulus package and the census, there are irresolvable conflicts for me. Prior to accepting this post, we had discussed these and other potential differences, but unfortunately we did not adequately focus on these concerns. We are functioning from a different set of views on many critical items of policy."

(3-10) Charles Freeman for National Intelligence Council Chief:

CNN: The former Pentagon official and diplomat had faced criticism from both Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee over his lack of intelligence experience, and some prior headline-grabbing remarks, particularly with regard to Israel. He also drew controversy over a statement that he believed the Chinese government did not crack down quickly enough on pro-democracy demonstrators in Tiananment [sic] Square in 1989.

And who sailed through no problem?

Yep. Madame Secretary Hillary Clinton

Mr President: Change! was not meant to include your positions

March 4, 2009

…or was it?

Everything you have said is a lie.

Iraq - you had a chance to stick to your campaign promise but you didn’t.

No lobbyists - except for you.

No corruption - except for your tax cheats and illegal alien harborers.

No earmarks - except for your 9000 ($8 BILLION) of them in the bill.

5 days online before bills pass - except the first time…and the second…

Bipartisanship - didn’t even try on your first chance.

How is this anything other than the same old Washington?

Clearly, words don’t matter.

And please stop with the transparency nonsense.

The only thing transparent is your deception and ineptitude.

Gulp down some of your messianic ego and talk with Mr Bill. You are way out of your league and panel after panel of experts is not going to masque it.

Cabinet tax cheat #4: Ron Kirk

March 2, 200

barry’s superior judgment is on display once again…another of his uniquely qualified picks made a simple mistake on his taxes. The fourth such pick. Secretary of the Treasury, head of the IRS and former Head of the New York Federal Reserve Bank couldn’t figure out TurboTax or spot Bernie Madoff, but he is going to save The American People from financial ruin. Tom Daschle was going to save The American People from the healthcare industry, from whom he made $5.2M. And Nancy Killefer had the decency to withdraw her name, which makes me believe it was an honest mistake.

What exactly does that thousand page questionnaire rule out? And how many people has he had to rule out before getting to the tax cheats?

Now his pick for US Trade Representative, Ron Kirk (former mayor of Dallas) owes the IRS $9,975. He failed to report $37,750 in honoraria for speaking engagement and deducted as business expenses the $17,382 he spent on Dallas Mavericks tickets.

WH’s BEN LABOLT: The mayor is working with the Finance Committee on a few minor issues. The president nominated Mayor Kirk because of his proven ability at the negotiating table — building consensus between opposing stakeholders in Dallas and crafting deals to create opportunities for U.S. businesses overseas.

I bet he’s very good at crafting deals.

Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Max Baucus (D-MT) supports him, just like he did the others. Credit to his statement person for mixing it up a little.

BAUCUS: Mayor Kirk is the right person for this job, and I will work to move his nomination quickly. I am confident he can successfully restore the confidence of Congress and the American people in a balanced international trade agenda.

BAUCUS on Geithner:

I intend to move forward as soon as possible with a hearing on his nomination….Tim Geithner has the right combination of experience and skill for these difficult economic times. For these reasons, I continue to support his nomination to be the next Secretary of the Treasury.

BAUCUS on Daschle:

The ability to advance meaningful health reform is my top priority in confirming a secretary of Health and Human Services, and I remain convinced that Senator Daschle would be an invaluable and expert partner in this effort. I am eager to move forward together.

barry’s fourth statement on Daschle:

I think I screwed up. And, I take responsibility for it and we’re going to make sure we fix it so it doesn’t happen again.

What’s it gonna take folks? “New era of resposibility”

Jonathan [Martin?] to Robert Gibbs in reference to Tom Daschle (2-2):

Is there an amount of money in unpaid back taxes for any nominee to the president’s Cabinet that would be considered disqualifying?

barry's cabinet goes free and Phelps' friends go to jail

February 3, 2009

Whereas Micheal Phelps admitted to his mistake - these crimes were not admitted to until those guilty were forced to admit to them because they were seeking top positions in the United States government. Positions they were appointed to by the President of the United States who claims to have "superior judgment" as his basis to be president.

Apppointed by a man claiming transparency, who has fought and is still fighting the release of his medical, school and birth records.

Appointed by a man who has said on multiple occasions that no lobbyists will work for him and then promptly made exceptions. Not to mention David Axelrod, who was working as a lobbyist while he was running barry's campaign.

Appointed by a man who has admitted - the President of the United States - to not only smoking marijuana but to also using cocaine on multiple occasions.

words don't matter?

Clearly they do not. And he has no actions to judge related to his words.

Let's start with barry's cabinet.

TIM GEITHNER: barry: "common mistake" Geithner "careless mistake"

  • Appointed to Secretary of the Treasury, ergo head of the IRS.
  • Ex head of the New York Federal Reserve Bank - while Madoff was making off.
  • Multiple year tax evader.
  • $34 thousand dollars
  • Initially blamed it on Turbo Tax - financial wizard??
  • Signed a document saying he was aware of the problem.
  • Did not rectify his taxes even after he was made aware.
  • Did not pay taxes while working for the International Monetary Fund.
  • Did not rectify his taxes while he was working at NY Federal Reserve Bank
  • Did not rectify his taxes even after he was audited.
  • Did not rectify his taxes until after he was appointed.
  • Did not announce the problem until Senate Confirmation hearings.
  • Had an illegal alien working for him.

TOM DASCHLE: barry: "serious mistake"

DASCHLE: "Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter."

  • Appointed as Head of Health and Human Services.
  • Tax evader. And what will the IRS do to him?
  • $140 thousand dollars.
  • Sid not rectify his taxes even though he was found out in June.
  • Did not rectify his taxes until after he was nominated.
  • Did not announce the "mistake" until confirmation hearing.
  • Gave "speeches" for health care interests.
  • Reportedly made $5.2 million dollars in two years.
  • Is not considered a lobbyist because he was not "registered as a lobbyist."
  • Wife is a lobbyist.

barry obama: "boneheaded mistake"

  • President of the United States
  • Ex US Senator, IL Senator and lawyer (not credentialed at present).
  • Admitted to using cocaine and smoking marijuana - most likely via a bong.
  • Sponsored illegal alien auntie 9 years ago.
  • Although responsible for her - he allegedly lost track of her.
  • Allowed his illegal alien auntie to go to his inauguration.
  • Allowed her to not be taken into custody.
  • Allowed her to leave Washington afterward.
  • Allowed her to not be investigated for fraudulent government benefits.
  • Allowed her to remain and not be deported.

BARRY: If she is violating laws those laws have to be obeyed. We're a nation of laws. Obviously that doesn't lessen my concern for her, I haven't been able to be in touch with her. But, it, uh, I'm a strong believer you have to obey the law. WHO?

"words don't matter"

Barry spokesman, Robert Gibbs: the president does not believe it undercuts their ability to move forward on an agenda that matters to The American People.

Barry: [on Daschle]

Take 1: Does he still stand by Daschle? "Absolutely!"

"words don't matter"

Take 2: it was a serious mistake, one that he caught and remedied. We still think that he is the best person to do health care reform.

"words don't matter"

Take 3: Tom made a mistake, which he has openly acknowledged. He has not excused it, nor do I. But that mistake, and this decision, cannot diminish the many contributions Tom has made to this country, from his years in the military to his decades of public service. Now we must move forward, with our plan to lift this economy and put people back to work.

"words don't matter"

Take 4: I think I screwed up. And, I take responsibility for it and we're going to make sure we fix it so it doesn't happen again.

"words don't matter"

Clearly not. And now the proobamedia is starting to realize how they've been played.

Sunday, February 8, 2009

Dear Mr President:

February 8, 2009

The only task force you need to get the economy going is a tax task force to do an audit on every member of your administration followed by every member of Congress. It seems that is the only way they feel compelled to pay taxes. The American People might then take you seriously...for once. We don't know what a TARP is or a trillion dollars but we know how far $140K goes and we for sure know how much money we could save by not paying our taxes.

Why should any of us when the head of the New York Federal Reserve Bank and now head of the IRS doesn't?

And what does it say about your stump promise to root out corruption in Washington when you did nothing to root out corruption when you were Senator of Illinois? When you and you foul-mouthed Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel happily helped to get Milorad get elected in the first place?

We the People of Illinois will now have to pay for an impeachment trial and all the craziness with Roland Burris when your fellow democrats refused to seat a legal appointment out of political spite and embarrassment. How much did your interview by the Feds and the interview of your top advisors cost us? And the cost of Rezko's solitary confinement? Was it to get him to talk about blago or to keep him from talking about your connections to him? How much will Milorad's criminal trial cost us?

How much are these multitudes of task forces put together to "study" things you should already know yourself costing taxpayers? Things that had you actually earned your job you could handle on your own. Things that had you had a history of making a stand -- or at least once making an unambiguous statement and then standing behind it -- you would feel confident about handling yourself.

You are a hypocrite. Your inadequacy is already showing. You may have had the highest approval rating going in...will you have the fastest drop as well?

People voted for you for some reason - try to do something as in ACTION.

Here is a hint: stay in your Oval Office for a day and pretend you know what to do. Stay out of the public eye, out of camera range and please stop the goddam speeches that are as empty now as they were on the stump.

I would remind you that when you speak now - people actually expect you to do what you say or at least have a notion of how to do it without 12 people standing behind you.

And, finally, running to read to kids "to get out of the White House" after 20-some days is not exactly building confidence - consumer or otherwise.

It was Turbo Tax not me

January 22, 2009

Financial wizard and Secretary of the Treasury (IRS) nominee, Tm Geithner, tries to blame Turbo Tax for his "common mistakes". He is testifying as the present Head of the New York Federal Reserve Bank and pretends he doesn't know how to file taxes. The scary thought is what if it is true?

tryindep

He has a strange accent.

Another cabinet appointment withdraws: Nancy Killefer

February 3, 2009

Nancy Killefer barry's nominee for the first ever Chief Performance Officer (no confirmation) and Deputy Director for management at the Office of Management and Budget (requires confirmation) has withdrawn her name. She is third behind Tim Geithner and Tom Daschle as barry appointed tax evaders - though hers could actually be a simple mistake. Not so with the other two.

Killefer, 55, who works for consulting giant McKinsey & Co., was nominated on Jan 7th and was outed by the AP. In March 2005, she had a $946.69 tax lien placed on her home for failure to pay unemployment compensation tax on household help over a period of 18 months. She paid it in July. Nothing compared to $128K and $34K that went unpaid until after they accepted the nomination. One wonders if there was more to it because she waited so long to withdraw.

From Brietbart:

Killefer oversees McKinsey's management consulting for government clients. During 1997-2000 in the Clinton administration, Killefer was assistant Treasury secretary for management. As such she was the chief financial officer and chief operating officer for the Treasury and its 160,000 employees and led a modernization of its largest component, the Internal Revenue Service.

But for nearly a month, the administration had refused to answer how its choice to make government workers more efficient and more responsive had bungled her household payroll taxes.

And what about the Head of the IRS and former Head of the New York Federal Reserve bank being audited and still not rectifying his taxes?

Whatever - she did the honorable thing. The financial wizard can't even do his taxes and blames it on TurboTax. And he's going to save the economy? And Daschle made a reported $5.2 million off the industry he was supposed to clean up.

Where's this superior judgment?

Seems it expired in November 2002?

barry spokesman Tommy Vietor:

Nancy Killefer has decided to withdraw her nomination, and we accepted her withdrawal.

So how thorough was this 63-point questionnaire?

barry statement re: Tom Daschle

February 3, 2009

barry's statement on Tom Daschle:

This morning, Tom Daschle asked me to withdraw his nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services. I accept his decision with sadness and regret.

Tom Daschle has devoted his life to public service and health care reform, so that every American has access to health care they can afford. I had hoped that he could bring this passion and expertise to bear to finally achieve that goal, which is so essential to the progress of our economy and the well-being of businesses and families across our nation.

Tom made a mistake, which he has openly acknowledged. He has not excused it, nor do I.

But that mistake, and this decision, cannot diminish the many contributions Tom has made to this country, from his years in the military to his decades of public service.

Now we must move forward, with our plan to lift this economy and put people back to work.
