Quote of the day: “Obama Beach”

You knew it would happen. But it at least isn’t as bad as “Osama”. Prime Minister GORDON BROWN needs a break. He accidentally said “Obama” Beach. But the thought and the sound of it is very nice.

So next to Obama Beach, we join President Obama in paying particular tribute to the spectacular bravery of American soldiers, who gave their lives on Ob-Omaha Beach, for people whose names they never knew, who faces they never saw and yet people who have lived in freedom thanks to their sacrifice and valor.

It was nothing less than extreme acts of courage by men and boys who loved their country. Especially the ones who scaled the cliffs with the Germans shooting down at them.

Blue-eyed people: cause of global economic crisis!

Crazy Brazilian president had a momentous enlightenment: Blue-eyed people have caused the economic crisis and ruined the world! It’s their fault not Indians, nor black, nor poor people! Can’t imagine it would be the poor people’s fault - expect maybe the ones made so by Bernie Madoff. And there aren’t any poor people with blue eyes? Maybe he should look around Brazil’s famous slums to get another enlightenment.

He made his proclamation at a press conference with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. He sure isn’t getting warm welcomes - barry trashed him because he was “tired” and his wife gave presidential gifts of plastic helicopters to his children, while barry gave him a set of DVDs. Real classy.

Has he looked at barry lately?

As I do not know any black or indigenous bankers. I can only say it is not possible for this part of mankind, which is victimised more than any other, to pay for the crisis.

Wonder what Scandinavians feel about this?
