Matthews: “I’m thinking of bad names to call Michael Steele”

May 22, 2009

Chris Matthews gets things going with Michael Steele and terrorists coming to the mainland. Then Larry goes off about Cheney and Tenet and Pat Buchanan for believing them, who then reminds Larry that the Dems in the senate don’t what the detainees in their backyard.

CHRIS MATTHEWS:

I’m thinking of bad names to call Michael Steele because I don’t know what to say about this guy tonight. He’s accusing the President of “allowing terrorists into the United States.”…It is as close to a lie as I can think off.

O’DONNELL:

It’s breathtaking how stupid they can be in the way they talk about this, and Pat Buchanan, I guess, is the only guy left in America who believes these people when they talk. To believe Dick Cheney on this subject, when for credibility he goes to George Tenet.

GEORGE TENET WHO SAID IT WAS A SLAM DUNK THAT THERE WAS WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN IRAQ!

Those are the people you want to believe, Pat?!

Guy in the middle is laughing and so does Pat and MATTHEWS chimes in with:

We don’t do ad hominems here. We don’t do ad hominems here.

What? Is this a new policy? I don’t watch him anymore.

BUCHANAN then mocks Larry by saying you want stupid? I’ll give you the dem senators who don’t want them either.

MATTHEWS says they don’t want it because of the ads their opponents will make.

BUCHANAN:

Larry has already told you I’m the only one who believes that Chris. The ads won’t work against the heroic senators.

MATTHEWS has to put his head down so Larry won’t see him laughing, while the other guy has no problem laughing, nor does Pat.

ODONNELL meanwhile looks like he is going to explode and says what a disgraced CIA director Tenet is while the other three laugh.

Larry O’Donnell: Cheney is a sleaze! a liar! and an abomination!

May 22, 2009

but what’s really making him mad is Cheney’s picking on barry. Which is why Cheney is doing it and Larry’s reaction is why Chenye isn’t about to stop.

What is going on with Larry O’Donnell? He have a bad case of Irish flu and not enough hair of the dog? And where did he get the hair on his head? He’s been rampaging for a while now and who he’s really angry at is barry. As are a lot of people and it’s only 4 months in. Larry can yell at Pat Buchanan all he wants and Pat’ll laugh right back and say: See, it’s working or See, I told you so. Just like he did this video segment where even Matthews had to laugh at Larry.

LARRY ODONNELL (2:00):

Well, he came today to — obviously to do nothing much other than defend torture, which he calls ‘tough questioning.’ This was as sleazy a presentation by a vice president as we’ve had since Spiro Agnew. This was an absolute abomination. He cannot, ever, frame the other side’s position honestly.

Here’s the real anger. barry played nice and came off as rather neutered. Cheney has absolutely nothing to lose and from Larry’s reaction Cheney’s doing a bangup job.

Why is barry even engaging Cheney?

LARRY ODONNELL:

…What you saw with Obama earlier was Obama describes the other side’s position fairly. He then goes on to advance his position. Cheney comes out and lies about the other side, it’s the only way he can talk. He says that Obama will not use the word ‘terrorist,’ when Obama does indeed use that word. He pretends that all we did was tough questioning. He says that 9/11 — he says that 9/11 made everyone take a second look at the threat. That is a lie.

(3:25) This guy just has to lie from beginning to end through his setup of his opposition’s position in order to advance any of his ideas at all, none of which have any proof to them at all.

ANDREA MITCHELL (7:30) Seems to have the most rational understanding of the potential violence.

So here you’ve got the former vice president saying they worked, the current president saying, they — ‘you don’t need those techniques in order to keep America safe.’ And you can’t bring those two sides together. We are at a real impasse here and I’ve never seen the debate framed more divisively than we’ve heard it today.

CHRIS MATTHEWS (8:20)

Now the Vice President, the former Vice President, joined in the fight with those 90 senators, clearly exploiting it, saying today, just now, ‘Attorney General Holder and others have admitted that the United States will be required to accept a number of the terrorists here in the homeland,’ you got to love this language, ‘and it has even been suggested U.S. taxpayer dollars will be used to support them.’ As if we’re setting up some sort of happy hunting ground for these people. We’re putting them in prison and feeding them, and giving them pajamas. What is this ’supporting them’ about, Pat?

LARRY O’DONNELL (9:50):

Exactly. The President said very clearly he’s not going to release any terrorist — and he uses the word terrorist — who could endanger Americans. Now Chris, you’ve pointed out another very clear Dick Cheney lie. It is just a lie. Who is paying for the daily existence of the terrorists in Gitmo now? Who is paying for that? The American taxpayer. This is the kind of sleazy arguing that this guy does in these speeches. It is just ridiculous. It is an insult to the intelligence of anyone who’s listening to him.

ANDREA MITCHELL:

There was one clever thing, also, that he did do, was to challenge the President to declassify those memos, which he claims prove that he’s correct, that the techniques worked and kept us safer.

LARRY O’DONNELL:

But after objecting to the release of top-secret information. The Vice President objects to the release of top-secret information. In the next sentence, he advocates it.

PAT BUCHANAN:

Lawrence’s reaction tells you that Cheney’s speech worked.

What's Donofrio up to lately?

February 2, 2009

I was tidying up my toolbar and was about to delete my RSS from Donofrio because I thought he had said he was done after Wrotnowski. Frankly, that last post made me wonder if he was a partaker of the same herbs barry and it seems his brother enjoy. It was about barry's mother and Satan or something. Totally weird. So I clicked and he has had some recent postings. The Kerchner case, Texas Grand Jury indicting Cheney and Gonzales, and a (1-31) post on active military being told to disobey orders,. He said he was investigating how an active military member could bring suit whereas retired Hollister - a hypothetical potential - cannot. Nobody has standing. He ends it with more to come...Next comes his aptly named (2-1) post "Truce" says he's stepping away, which I had thought he had done before. In it he speaks of bots showing up at his chess matches (previously his citizenspook blog had been hacked) and includes an account of what happened when he went to file the brief in DC on November 3rd. It reads like a mystery novel and has a soundtrack to accompany it.

Matthews: Wheelchair = low self-esteem?

January 24, 2009

MSNBC Inauguration coverage

What can you say about chris matthews? Does he even listen to what comes out of his salivator? I was shocked to learn: a) he's married, b) he has an accomplished wife and 3) he has a lovely daughter. How selfish is a father who continues to denigrate women and say other foul insensitive things on the air every night for her friends and future whatevers to hear? Especially after he introduces her on camera?

No sense in even describing this. Just listen. I have a bunch of other quotes from that day I'll have to post. I though he and Olbermann weren't going to work together any more.

cheapsurrealist

MATTHEWS: And I can tell you again that metaphor here of the Vice President in that wheelchair. It is a metaphor, for the low esteem with which he's held in this country. His numbers are pathetically low.

Typically classless robamabots

January 20, 2009

Today was a moment of change, hope, reconciliation and positivity and what to the robamabots do? They booed the outgoing administration. That is as classless as it gets. The entire globe is watching and that is how they chose to recognize the outgoing President and Vice President. An administration that may have done many things that we as American people may or may not have agreed with - but today was not the day.

And the blind mindless chanters didn't care.

How is that American?

Who are you people and for whom did you vote in 2000 & 2004? How many of you made the trip to Washington but never made it to your polling places?

And how much love do you have for this country, which has remained safe from invasion and attacks for the last eight years because of President Bush, if you feel the need to show such public displeasure?

What type of change are you seeking and when does it go into affect?

It was like the barry t-shirts and merchandise showing him going to the hoop while knocking down Senator McCain - not just floating over him like the obamessiah he is. Like the knocking down was just as important (maybe even more so) than the rising above. And the disgusting and vile barry merchandise featuring the former First Lady, who he appointed to Secretary of State. T-shirts: "Too bad Hillary didn't marry OJ". Merchandise and slogans he never once objected to - even after his lame "keep the families out of it" declaration well after his attack dogs had said everything possible about Governor Palin and her family. Well, except for the new senator from Minnesota Al Franken's hilarious SNL bit on incest involving Todd Palin and his daughters.

All things barry has never apologized for.

And as much as the robamabots chant change! and hope! - their personal words and deeds have been anything but. They spent the better part of two years writing and saying the most incredibly offensive things about barry's opponents and non-barry supporters. Folks who were not caught up in the mindless chanting were attacked on all fronts - each one invariably called a racist - in the name of a man promising hope! change! His disciples spewed hate-filled words just as surely as Rev Wright did from his pulpit, in an attempt to promote their candidate: the self-proclaimed Man Above the Fray! Mr Grand Uniter! and Transcender of Race!

They attacked as a means to promote a man who had nothing to promote. A man without a past. A man who claims transparency but still refuses to prove his eligibility to be President.

Who among you knows who barry is?

He hasn't told you, you haven't asked, and the press has not demanded any truth from him.

Why don't you care?

And what will you be saying a year from now? Four years? Eight?

Will you be whining and booing then that the public didn't know...the press should have investigated...why didn't they tell us?

Hope is a wonderful thing - but it is not given to someone. It is something one voluntarily chooses. And one cannot choose hope while continuing to denigrate.

Any positivity thus gained is corroded by the continued negativity.

It is time for you to let the past administration go and to hold the present one accountable with your eyes and ears open.

It is time for you to realize you have elected a man who has never once made a decision with consequence.

And it is time for you to be honest as to why you chose him.

Today you made me embarrassed to be an American. You embarrassed yourselves, our nation, and our new President.

How much do you actually believe in barry vs not like his opponents?

How much do you believe in him as a man vs the idea of him?

And how much do you believe in his abilities if you must shame his predecessor?

For if you believe in the potential of Barack Obama then you should be congratulating President Bush and wishing him well.

Instead, you booed while the world watched in what was to be a moment of triumph and change.

And you wonder our standing in the world?

It is in large part because of how we have treated our own president. You may not agree with Mr Bush. You may personally dislike him. But the nation elected him and he is one of only 44 men who have stood up to lead this nation.

What have you been doing to make America a better place?

President Bush did not ask for 9-11. But there hasn't been a second one and no one knows how many close calls there were. We do know that Bush talked Israel out of bombing Iran.

What do you mindless robamabots think about that?

A little reminder: Bush's campaign mantra was Change! and Uniting not Dividing.

Sound familiar?

VP Cheney to be in wheelchair tomorrow

January 19, 2009

Supposedly VP Dick Cheney "pulled a muscle in his back while moving". So his physician recommended he use a wheelchair for the Inauguration. It has nothing to do with the shortness of breath he has had in his recent interviews? Congestive heart failure? Or the poor circulation in his legs?

Mr Burris officially sworn into the Senate

January 15, 2009

Well it's official. Mr Burris is the Jr Senator of Illinois. He knew that a long time ago. Dick Cheney swore him in on Burris' own Bible, while the (now) proud papa Dick Durbin stood behind him. When it was over Dick gave him a big hug. I'm glad I heard the Oath of Office so I could see what barry swore to. Incidentally Burris is a leftie.

VP DICK CHENEY: Raise your right hand. Do you solemnly swear that you will support and defend The Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That you will bear true faith and allegiance to that same. That you take this obligation freely, without any or mental reservation or purpose of evasion. And that you will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the Office on which you are about to enter, so help you God?

BURRIS: I do.

REID: There are many paths to the United States Senate. It is fair to say that the path that brought our new colleague from Illinois to us was unique. Senator Burris, on behalf of all senators, we welcome you as a colleague and a friend.

DURBIN: I know this was a rocky road to this great day in his life but a road well traveled.

Voting procedures need to be revamped

January 8, 2009

The Senate made the final official electoral count - as expected 365-173. Dick Cheney read as his last VP duty:

Pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the United States, the Senate and House of Representatives are meeting in joint session to verify the certificates and count the votes of the electors of the several states.

barry and biden can now be officially inaugurated on 1-20-09.

I wouldn't count on SCOTUS to do anything to change that - no matter how inclined and no matter the evidence. At this point it is too late - which was the point in the delaying.

From a non-political person, who has never voted and had not been involved in politics of any sort until Jan 08 - the voting process needs to be changed. Each person's vote is not counted the same. The superdelegates decided this election after the DNC Rules Committee decided to hijack the votes in Michigan and give delegates to barry whose name was not on the ballot and therefore not one vote could have been proved to have been cast for him.

Are any Michiganders suing? If so, what would be their recourse?

It was an illegal primary. A vital and (deciding as far as popular vote) deliberation went on behind closed doors. Absolute corruption. You cannot have a process be clean if one element of it is dirty. The primary results will forever be illegal.

Imagine the outrage if Sen Clinton and barry's positions would have been reversed. It would never happen. No way. Period. That alone reflects its illegality and inherent bias. The Double Standard.

Then there are all the other irregularities with ACORN, bused in voters and the choosing of South Carlina and Nevada as the two primaries moved up. And had they been Michigan and New York? It was an intentional intervention that directly affected the outcome. As was the proven to exist proobama media bias.

Should be:

1 - No caucuses. Completely undemocratic and are subject to coercion and intimidation. They are inherently biased toward some demographics - in this case, Sen Clinton's: seniors, shift workers and single moms, which most definitely the outcome as she won only 1/14. And the one she won - Nevada - had many complaints of barry voter intimidation and is presently being litigated. Again - what is the recourse? So what's stopping someone from doing it as long as nothing happens before the general election?

2 - Every state should have a vote in the primaries. The primary vote is more important and the individual's vote means more because they can vote for whomever they want - not just the final choice. Primaries should take place over the period of two weeks or so - no longer.

3 - Superdelegates should be completely abolished. They decided this election. Period. They could have voted for Sen Clinton just as easily as they both got the same amount of votes - actually more people actually pulled the lever for Sen Clinton - that should not be forgotten much the same that Al Gore's vote count. barry won by virtue of caucus states (13/14) only 4 of which were blue. That is not the will of the democrats. A caucus in Idaho should not count the same as a 100K lead in votes in a blue state like Ohio or Pennsylvania. barry did not get the required number of delegates to win. Period.

4 - ID standards should be the same in every state as should the voting machines and procedures.

5 - Both parties should abide by the exact same procedures and rules for nomination.

5 - Independents should be allowed for whomever they want in every state.

6 - Absolute cap on campaign finances. barry broke his promise and was not held accountable. Say what you want - barry bought the election. He outspent McCain massively at the end and McCain could not fight back. (Neither could Sen Clinton.)

Well, that's my two cents.

A few chuckles form Jay Leno

January 6, 2009

Jay Leno

VP Dick Chaney in the Washington Post says he is not a fan of rap music.

Let's see. He rides in a limo, is surrounded by bodyguards and shot someone in the face...

He is a rap star...

Unemployment is up, especially if you're the new senator from Illinois.

Roland Burris was turned away and denied his seat in the Senate.

It was the worst thing to happen to a guy named Burris not involving a gun and sweatpants...

From a Bush roast with service members:

To Bush: It's nice to see you still have good reflexes after eight years in the White House.

Next time pick up the shoe and throw it back!
