"World Press Freedom Day"

May 3, 2009

I found barry's statement about freedom of the press curious. What good is freedom of the press when they have been completely corrupted? When they choose what will be given press and what will be avoided? And when they make it perfectly clear who they want for president and go about making it happen?

ZOGBY/IFC Poll
Nov 5-6, 2008

93.1% believed barry received more coverage
74.7% believed MEDIA COVERAGE INFLUENCED THE OUTCOME OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

80% believed TV unreliable
84% believed radio unreliable

72.6% believed the news they read/see is biased.
37.6% believed the Internet is most reliable

So 73% believe there was media bias in general, 75% thought media bias influenced the outcome of the presidential election and 93% thought barry got more coverage.

Kind of easy to understand how barry got to be president considering Sen Clinton got the same number of votes. And she got much more when voters actually used a voting machine.

So what does it say about Americans that they don't care that they can no longer trust the mainstream media to report facts?

And what does it say when lawyers quote factcheck as proof in actual legal papers submitted and (allegedly) read by the Supreme Court? And that both Judge Surrick and Judge Robertson relied on the the pro-barry press and the internet and Twitter to make their decisions?

Statement by the President in honor of World Press Freedom Day [Emphasis added]

World Press Freedom Day is annually observed on May 3 to remind us all of the vital importance of this core freedom. It is a day in which we celebrate the indispensable role played by journalists in exposing abuses of power, while we sound the alarm about the growing number of journalists silenced by death or jail as they attempt to bring daily news to the public.

When was the last time an American one was in America? And yes the media was indispensable for barry - if not, this statement wouldn't have his name attached to it.

Although World Press Freedom Day has only been celebrated since 1993, its roots run deep in the international community. In 1948, as people across the globe emerged from the horrors of the Second World War, nations saw fit to enshrine in the Universal Declaration on Human Rights the fundamental principle that everyone "has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

It's clear that barry followers don't believe this.

....Today, I lend my voice of support and admiration to all those brave men and women of the press who labor to expose truth and enhance accountability around the world. In so doing, I recall the words of Thomas Jefferson: "The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter."

Around the world - not around the country.

Is there a single journalist in America who has any type of curiosity? Who remembers how to to their job? Who has the integrity to stand up and make barry accountable? Who has the courage to force the government to produce some sort of absolute proof of who barry is and whether he is eligible to be President?

Sen Ted Kennedy hospitalized

January 20, 2009

According to CNN, Sen Kennedy was hospitalized for recurrent seizures, but is expected to just stay the night.

Before the inauguration, Sen Kennedy walked in, unaided except for a cane, and was smiling and waving. He had on a great black hat and looked completely present. Evidently, at the post-inauguration luncheon, he began to convulse. He was alert just previous and was talking by the time he reached the ambulance. The Secret Service whisked him away while he was still seizing - his wife, Sen Dodd (D-CT) and Sen Hatch (R-UT) by his side. He was evaluated at the hospital by the Chairman of Neurosurgery, Dr Edward Aulisi - who was probably standing by anyway - and his seizure felt to be due to exhaustion. He will stay overnight for hospitalization.

barry had earlier made remarks:

Kennedy "was there when the Voting Rights Act passed. Along with John Lewis, [Kennedy] was a warrior for justice. And so I would be lying to you if I did not say that right now, a part of me is with him. And I think that's true for all of us. This is a joyous time. But it's also a sobering time, and my prayers are with him and his family and [his wife] Vicki.

After the seizure, barry reportedly asked for a moment of silence.

Prior to getting into the ambulance, Dodd said Kennedy told him, "I'll be okay. I'll see you later."

And after seeing Kennedy at the hospital, Sen Kerry (D-MA) said:

He has his Irish up.

Ted Kennedy is going to be back in the Senate fighting for the things he cares about.

UPDATED: Phil Berg's comment on denial

January 12, 2009

It said press release but it links to the 1-9-09 press release.

Berg states he is disappointed for the 300+ million US citizens, for our "Forefathers" and for the tens of thousands that have died defending "our" Constitution and we will fight on as Obama is "not qualified" to be President.

Update: The rest of the press release is now available:

BERG: I am committed to keep our efforts going to continue litigation until the truth of Obama being 'not qualified' for President comes out. The Obama candidacy is the biggest 'HOAX' ever to be put forth to the citizens of the United States in 230 years.

In addition to the current case in the U.S. Supreme Court, we have or will have:

--A case filed two [2] months ago captioned Berg vs. Obama, said case 'under seal' so I cannot comment further;

--The case of Hollister vs. Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Hussein Obama, filed 12/31/08 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Civil Action No. 08-02254; said case being an 'Interpleader' case with the Plaintiff, a retired Colonel from the U.S. Air Force, who is questioning whether to obey or disobey an order if Obama recalls him, based upon whether or not Obama is a 'qualified' President;

--The case that was denied in the U.S. Supreme Court is still pending in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in the case of Berg vs. Obama, with our Brief due by January 20, 2009; and

--If Obama is sworn in as President, we will file a Petition for Writ of 'Quo Warranto,' a case that will challenge Obama as being ineligible to serve as President because he is 'not qualified.'

'If Obama is sworn in' because Obama knows he is 'not qualified' and he should hold a Press Conference and Obama should state that I, as a black American, received more votes than anyone else on November 4, 2008 for President and on January 8, 2009 the Joint Session of Congress counted the Electoral College votes and announced that I am President-elect, but because of things in my background, I cannot be sworn in as President.

However, Obama is not man enough to state the above!

More and more people are aware of the fact that Obama does not meet the 'qualifications' for President. When the truth finally comes out, individuals including Barack Hussein Obama, Michelle Obama, Howard Dean [Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC)], other top officials of the DNC, senior campaign staff and some of his new administration should be brought into the criminal justice system, indicted and tried with incarceration for those convicted.

Obama is setting himself up to be blackmailed and perhaps he is already being blackmailed. He was the candidate for 'change,' but look at his cabinet – 70% from President Clinton's days and how about his Secretary of Defense, Gates. Give me a break!

There is nothing more important than 'our' U.S. Constitution and we will fight on!"

On another note, Col Hollister was not on the radio last night - just Phil Berg and his assistant, Lisa. I don't know her last name

Here's the link to the broadcast last night. I don't know how to embed audio. It's also available on itunes as a podcast.

Roland "Trailblazer" Burris' final resting place

January 3, 2009

Blagojevich appointee Roland "Trailblazer" Burris has a granite mausoleum already in place that lists his many accomplishments, including the distinction of being the first black statewide office holder in Illinois. He is not a man lacking in self-confidence, as he showed in his (12-30-08) interview with NBC 5's Alex Perez:

BURRIS: I have no problem with going to US Senate and doing a job for the people - not only of Illinois - right now the nation needs someone with Roland Burris' talent and skills.

Talking in the third person says a great deal as does the naming of his children: daughter Rolanda, son Roland W Burris II and grandson, Roland T. Burris.

Call his mausoleum strange narcissistic or whatever. But a walk through the Oak Woods cemetery provides more info about Burris than the proobamedia has provided The American People about barry.

As one of The People of Illinois, I would be pleased to see Burris take over barry's seat. (It should be Tammy Duckworth.) Burris has a history of making independent decisions, standing by them and being accountable for the consequences.

Something barry will do for the first time on January 21st 00:01.

Proobamedia books: Chuckie T's

January 2, 2008

Now the proobamedia books are coming out. Chuckie Todd's book which I hate to name is: "How Obama won". He's co-wrote it with Sheldon Cowiser (polling expert). They said it would have been written even if barry lost "but the data's the data".

The proobama media bias is all the data one needs.

Check out a chuckie's fan club. "An online salute to the smartest guy on TV how makes sense of the senseless"? Has to be some type of a joke.

The New York Observer's LEON NEYFAKH:

According to editor Errol McDonald, who approached Mr. Todd with the idea about a month before the election, the book will be divided into four sections: Battleground states, emerging battleground states, receding battleground states, and all the rest. Mr. McDonald said the book will come with an introduction by Mr. Todd and Mr. Gawiser (who is NBC's Elections Director) and an appendix that will "give very surprising facts based on the data."

Very surprising facts? Will they finally reveal the proobama media bias? Haha. And interesting folks involved. Now you can see why NBC/MSNBC were the #1 proobamedia outlet followed closely by NEWSWEEK and the Washington Post. I hope I live long enough for them to be called out on their obvious bias. Bias that 74.7% of Americans believe directly affected the outcome of the presidential election. And 93% thought barry received more coverage. Now just imagine if Sen Clinton and Sen McCain were black. What type of outrage would there be?

The Double Standard.

One step closer to a More Perfect Union?

Blagojevich names Roland Burris to replace barry

December 30, 2008

Blagojevich named former Illinois Comptroller (1983-91) and former Attorney General (1991-95) Roland Burris [or as Lee Cowan says "Ronald" Burris] to replace barry. He was the first black man to hold state office and is a product of the Daley Machine like Emil Jones. He lost bids for mayor, US senator and governor (against blag) and comes from downstate - not Chicago. I haven't heard about him in years - not even in association to blagojevich. barry probably doesn't even know him personally. Probably a good thing for Burris or he'd be under a bus with all of the other black leaders barry's tossed aside. I wonder if Burris ponied up and gave blagojevich something. Maybe there's an old debt from when blagojevich transitioned into governor in 2002. Burris supposedly expressed interest in replacing barry but he wasn't on the general radar.

In fact Burris talked to Channel 2 about Att Gen Lisa Madigan's press conference on 12-13

BURRIS: I certainly applaud her actions. Illinois is too important to its 18 million citizens to have a chief executive who is now incapacitated. The evidence that's been presented is pretty appalling, should that come out to be the case of what our governor is attempting to do.

Burris's consulting firm donated $20K to blagojevich's last run. He was appointed as interim Charmain of the State Commission Pensions and his consulting firm was awarded a $150K state contract to advise disadvantaged businesses on how to win state contracts. Interesting job, isn't it?

Evidently Rep Danny Davis was approached about the job last week but he turned it down. He had previously been interviewed on camera saying he wasn't approached nor did he want it.

Chuckie T said the Senate won't seat anyone appointed by blagojevich. Problem being it is a proper legal appointment and Burris would be the third black senator from Illinois and that alone is going to meet with some form of opposition. Blagojevich is no dummy. There are still some old timers pist about what barry did to Rev Wright and Jackson without whom he would not be poised to enter the White House.

Just a reminder - blagojevich hasn't been found guilty on anything. Irritating to barry and barryfans everywhere, yes. But he is innocent until proven otherwise. I hope some day people will see this for what it is. A rush to judgment to get blagojevich out of the way. They've been trying to get rid of him for a couple of years. Nothing he has done is new or outlandish in Chicago politics. The idiocy was being caught on tape. And ask yourself why the tapes were released right away? Especially the ones including his wife?

Ask yourself why Fitzgerald, who has been investigating blagojevich for years, made the sudden decision to arrest blagojevich? There is only one conclusion. Blagojevich wasn't about to close a deal - barry's people were about to implicate themselves in an attempt and Fitzgerald no way wanted that. Why else wouldn't he wait until money changed hands to catch him in the act? Especially when the investigation has been going on so long and they had yet put together the smoking gun.

It defies logic, folks. As does barry saying he never talked to the governor. He would have been completely irresponsible not to. Just crazy as his trying to make us believe he never did. And just as crazy as trying to make us believe he "volunteered" to talk to Fitzgerald for the "sake of transparency". Fitzgerald was the one who put barry's name on the Rezko indictment.

What is it going to take?

Pro-Obama media bias exists

December 26, 2008

TIME's Mark Halperin's words at the Nov 21st Politico forum on the 2008 election.

HALPERIN: It's the most disgusting failure of people in our business since the Iraq war. Both in the nomination fight against Sen Clinton and in the general election - for all sorts of reasons, I think it was extreme bias, extreme pro-Obama coverage. The daily output was the most disparate of any campaign I've covered, by far.

And the response? He's whining. They are still debating whether proobama media bias exists and they are still denying it. I would laugh but it's gone beyond reprehensible to pure idiocy. Are journalists always this self serving? Do they really not see it or are they defending their previous columns?

What is it going to take?

I ran across a collection of folks' quotes at Politico's "The Arena". The website alone should be a tipoff. Evidently a question is asked and folks comment.

FRED BARBASH, the moderator asked:

Did press bias in favor of Obama constitute, as one prominent journalist says, a major media failure? Do you think it made much difference in the election's outcome?

I don't know who these folks are and I'm not going to waste time finding out. Here are a glimpse at their words. Follow the link to read the rest.

PETER FENN, Democratic media consultant:

Bias. Baloney. Bad reporting, sure, so what else is new? Bad calls on what stories should run or not run? Absolutely. Anyone can call the press out for that. But after two years of Barack Obama being under a microscope where the power was turned up month after month I can not imagine anyone believing he was given a "pass."

He cannot imagine because the heat was turned up? By whom? The proobamedia? He can't imagine but he can't prove it. The brain washing is complete. I have some interesting old articles before the obamerism took over that I have to post. It shows that some of them were actual reporters/journalists once.

WILL DURST, Official Arena Comedian:

You know why the media is biased? Because they're educated. That's not bias. It's known as rational thought.

RICK BEYER, author/filmaker

...dirt simply wouldn’t stick to Obama....supposedly shady dealing with Tony Rezko...But they didn't resonate with the public. People looked at Obama and saw an intelligent, thoughtful, sincere candidate who was poised to make history. So they decided to discount those negative stories.

He goes on and in typical fashion compares barry with a president: Ronald Reagan. barry has done absolutely nothing but be named in a supposedly shady house dealing with Rezko, be named in the indictment and have to give back dirty money from a supposedly shady dealing with Rezko (Rezko raised him $250K) and be questioned by the Feds just a week ago about a case involving more supposedly shady dealings Rezko had with Blagojevich. How is he in any way compared to someone the American People and media had seen on film and in person?

So how does a $750Million campaign of presidential recreations compare to that? The Germans had to be the ones to stop him. And barry's supposedly shady dealings can't resonate with or be discounted by the people if the people never hear about them.

MARTIN FROST Attorney/former Dem Rep

The two novelties in this race we're Obama and Palin. Obama stood up well under media focus and Palin did not. It's really not too much more complicated than that. He could have wilted under the media spotlight but he didn't

This is the most ignorant one of all. Can't wilt if the only light you're under is a photographer's. How can he possibly compare an attack on a woman's children? KOS allowing that horrible ArcXIX to say such things uncensored. jonjon Alter referring to her baby as a DISABLED INFANT? Al Franken's incest sketch? He is an older pink-faced man if you couldn't guess by his words.

DAN SCHNUR, Jesse M. Unruh Institute

Toward Halperin's point, there was no shortage of media preference toward Obama over the course of this election cycle. But Torey's argument is equally valid: that real-world events that favor one candidate need to be reported as well.

He plugs USC and then totally bypasses the issue of the MSM's censorship of the events that did NOT favor barry and the blowing out of proportion things that were unfavorable to his opponents. There is no such thing as Teflon until it is sprayed on. During the worst press about Rev Wright, Sen Clinton got more negative coverage. Cold hard facts. That is what is at issue. The fact that barry was never vetted or given the scrutiny of other candidates. Yes, he did deserve more attention because he was new. Fine. But there has to be coverage and uncovering of the negative - which has never happened - even now when barry is being interviewed by the feds.

Therein is the proobama media bias.

PROFESSOR ROSABETH MOSS KANTOR, Harvard Business School

It's ridiculous to say Obama got a free ride, what with all those ambitious journalists and Republican attack machines out seeking dirt. The absence of a major scandal is not evidence of media bias; it's a sign that maybe this is a pretty clean candidate. Nearly every angle was tried to find flaws: damning by association (Rev. Wright and William Ayres [sic]), pouncing on a position change (Arctic drilling), criticizing for lack of specifics, reporting on other reporters reporting on Republican accusations that he was a secret terrorist, socialist, or unpatriotic.

One position change? Damning by association a spiritual mentor barry had known for 20 years and taken his children to hear? But what of this man of Superior Judgment? Now he's just guilty by association because his top adivsors need to be investigated? Why didn't Rahm Emanuel want the job at first?

Ok. That's enough documentation of self-denial.

Quote of the day: "open homosexuality in the showers not a good thing for the discipline of the troops"

December 22, 2008

I am appalled at what gay code words folks use and get away with. The bashing that occurs right out in the open. Racism is the only prejudice that has been discussed. No other prejudice is taken seriously. First sexism - whining. Ageism - punchline. Homophobia - you can't be serious. How is this a step closer to a More Perfect Union? Bigotry is bigotry. Either all are offensive or none are.

This election cycle has been a farce. barry's transcending race and partisanship? Bringing people together? Uniting the cosmos and transforming the world! Kumbaya my Lord, what are you people drinking?

Hope is an individual choice. Change! is another sunrise. Reality requires action. barry has not yet made a single unilateral decision with personal consequence. The very first time he does it will be in the White House. You ok with that? At 3am or otherwise? Do you really believe he can make a decision in 15 seconds?

Here's Pat Robertson doing what he does best while discussing Don't Ask Don't Tell with Suzanne Malveaux on CNN after he says "he's very pleased so far" with barry. So far the operative words. So far he has done nothing but appoint people. His most important appointment - his Chief of Staff - may end up being subpoenaed. barry may too...just like he was named on Rezko's indictment.

Courtesy of SwimmingPolarBear

CNN Transcript

MALVEAUX: Are you looking forward to an Obama administration, a change?

ROBERTSON: You know, I am remarkably pleased with Obama. I had grave misgivings about him, but so help me, he's come in forcefully, intelligently. He's picked a middle-of-the-road cabinet. And so far, if he continues down this course, he has the makings of a great president. So I'm very pleased so far.

MALVEAUX: What do you think of the pick as Rick Warren, the evangelical leader, as the one to deliver the invocation at his inauguration? Obviously, a controversial pick. And there are some conservatives who believe that, perhaps, he's being used as a pawn. I want to give you this quote here by Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council. He says, "Let's hope that Rick Warren will use his channel of communication to the new president to press him for more pro-family policies, rather than simply being used by Mr. Obama to make political inroads with evangelicals." [One of the enlightened few.]

Do you think that Warren is being used by Mr. Obama?

ROBERTSON: I don't think so. I think Rick is an extraordinarily able person....He's a very dynamic individual. And I don't think he's going to be anybody's pawn. He has his own agenda and I think he'll stick to it. But after all, all he's been asked to do is give an invocation. He isn't asked to endorse Obama. He's going to stand up there on the steps of the Capitol and he's going to say, "God, please bless this country," and he will do that very well.

MALVEAUX: There are others who are upset by that pick. Obviously, there are some gay activists who have expressed concern about it because he's not for pro-gay marriage

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

COLIN POWELL, FORMER SECRETARY OF STATE: We definitely should reevaluate it. It's been 15 years since we put in "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," which was a policy that became a law. I didn't want it to become a law, but it became a law. Congress felt that strongly about it. But it's been 15 years and attitudes have changed.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

MALVEAUX: Do you think it's time to put that policy aside and to let gays serve openly in the military?

ROBERTSON: Well, you know, I think I would leave that to the field commanders. And it seemed to be the unanimous decision of the military leadership that the question of open homosexuality in the barracks and showers and all the rest of it was not a good thing for the discipline of the troops...I'm not sure that we ought to change that. It's worked pretty well so far.

That may be - but not for women in the military. Female soldiers are more likely to be raped than killed by enemy fire in Iraq. Gay men in the shower is a blip on the radar, especially when it is consensual.
