You knew he wouldn’t let it go. No way was he going to be put in his place by a woman – let a alone a feisty woman of class. Especially when he is none too fond of her son and granddaughter, who he said should leave the GOP with Arlen Specter.

Mrs McCain’s video and comments are here. She basically said she doesn’t understand who Limbaugh is or what he talks about and that he doesn’t belong to the same Republican Party as she.

Here’s Keith Olbermann’s response to Mrs McCain’s comments on Jay Leno. Jay asked her which commentators on the left bothered her. She didn’t hesitate and said “Olbermann”, prompting laughter. Jay asked why. She said she couldn’t understand someone who seemed to get pleasure from humiliating and denigrating others and that she thanked God that she didn’t have to be around people like him.

He had initially planned to use his closing rant to rebut Mrs McCain but he instead took exception to someone’s post about why he missed some days in April as if it is remotely relevant to anyone but him. He said it was because his mother died and then he got sick.

Why does he get so upset when someone does to him what he makes a living doing to others?

And how often does he google himself to find them?

Anyway this is what he had to say:

Tonight’s “WTF!?! moment” which was going to be about John McCain’s mother’s appearance on the Tonight Show. Ok. I’ll say what should have been my first thought: Good for you Roberta, defend your son.

Then he launched into a rant that is going to drive up the poster’s traffic and encourage others. When he finally took a breath, he admits hos absurdity.

I was going to do this segment on John McCain’s mother’s comments about Limbaugh and Michael Steel and me, but as this nonsense broke arouns me this afternoon, it struck me just how absurd that idea was. She was just a mother sticking up for her son. My mom would have appreciated that.

Senator John McCain’s still fierce 97 y/o mother, Roberta McCain, was on Jay Leno last night. It’s clear who he takes after. She was entertaining but also had a message.

KEVIN SPACEY, who had just done spot on Bill Clinton and Johnny Carson impressions said to Mrs McCain:

It sounds to me like you ought to run for politics.

MRS MCCAIN:

No. They’d never elect me, because I am not diplomatic enough for that.

JAY LENO:

What about being diplomatic. Let’s talk about some of the commentators from the left and right. Who bothers you on the left?

MRS MCCAIN no hesitation: Olbermann.

LENO: What’s wrong with Keith Olbermann?

MRS MCCAIN:

Well, I don’t know if there’s anything wrong with him. I just, myself, can’t figure out that type of person, who really more or less gets joy out of denigrating people, humiliating – I’m just not that type of person. I don’t have friends like that. And thank God I am not around people like him.

LENO: What about on the right?

MRS MCCAIN:

David Brooks is a man I really respect at the New York Times….He’s a wonderful writer.

LENO: What about Rush Limbaugh?

MRS MCCAIN:

I belong to the Republican Party….What he thinks about or represents in the Republican Party has nothing to do with my side of it. I don’t know what the man means, I don’t know what he’s talking about.

I think that the Chairman of the Republican Party Steele was exactly right when he defined this man as an entertainer. And to my horror, the Republican Party made him back up on it.

I don’t know what he [Limbaugh] is — but he does not represent the Republican Party that I belong to.

I bet she doesn’t like him personally either. Especially after he told his listeners that Arlen Specter should take her son and granddaughter with him.

Kennedy legacy carrier barry trashes the Special Olympics‘ athletes (thus the First Lady of California’s mother, Eunice Shriver, who founded them) on the final leg of his adoration tour. He compared his crappy ass bowling skills to a Special Olympic athlete’s lack of skill. Clearly, he doesn’t know what Special Olympic athletes are capable of - including voting.

What segment of the electorate hasn’t he trashed?

He should pay for his remark by making the next “party night at the White House” a fundraiser bowling party featuring Special Olympians so he is made to apologize right to them in person - not through a spokesperson’s “he thinks the Special Olympics do great work” or “it wasn’t meant like that” or some other template response.

It was meant exactly as said - they’re r*t*r*s with no physical skills.

What would President Franklin Delano Roosevelt have felt about hearing that remark?

David Shuster still cluelessly obamerized

David Shuster is trying to be like Big Brother Herr Olbermann and Little Sister Righteous Rachel Maddow in his gotcha "Hypocrisy Watch" segment. He rants about how Rove said what barry is doing is not what he promised and is the same old Washington politics. An absolutely 100% true statement. Shuster then goes into detailing all the things Rove politicized as a way of counterpoint.

What Shuster neglects to realize is barry said he would do none of that. He stumped on it over and over and still lies about it. So nothing Rove did or does or didn't do has any bearing on what barry's minions are doing.

Why can't they get past their blind devotion and see that barry's words do not - nor have they ever - match up with his actions?

How is a dramatic early morning staged for national media arrest followed by a Lincoln would roll over in his grave press conference and release of audiotapes that have nothing to do with the impeachment getting a fair trial?

LISA MADIGAN: The governor is making a mockery of the law, he’s making a mockery of the constitution. The whole concept of impeachment has been enshrined in not just Illinois law, but in federal law, from the beginning of our country. It’s talked about in the Federalist Papers, and so for him to claim he’s not going to get any kind of a fair trial and fair process is absolutely absurd.

He’s choosing to not participate, that’s something completely different than not availing yourself of a process and so in some ways, it’s almost admitting that he has nothing to say in his defense, despite what he’s saying on all these talk shows.

We can’t move our state forward at this point until Gov. Blagojevich is out of office and we have a new governor. I look forward to that day and hope it takes place this week.

She's been looking forward to that day for a long time just like everyone else but she said nothing before he was reelected. She's pist she didn't get the senate seat. They all have their own axe to grind and their won personal agendas. On top of that he pulled a fast one with Burris and has brought unwelcome attention to Chicago politics that has always been and will always be how Chicago operates.

OLBERMANN: "Meanwhile a clean Illinois politician" talking about barry. And MARGARET CARLSON: "he hasn't been on the wrong side of the bet in the last two years" and then she actually said that the obama's are the "most famous first family".

herr olberman is out of control...even for him. He goes on and on about Guantanamo Bay when he has never been there or seen first hand what has gone on there. He is certain he knows how many - or how few - detainees have gone on to attack Americans and then in the next sentence says he doesn't know how many people are at Gitmo. Then he was speaking with a man who used to interrogate terrorists in Iraq who said that the number one recruiting tool was Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib. And what does olbermann do? He shows a videotape of someone being warterboarded. What is it going to take for him to realize his "show" is also a recruiting tool?

What can you say about chris matthews? Does he even listen to what comes out of his salivator? I was shocked to learn: a) he's married, b) he has an accomplished wife and 3) he has a lovely daughter. How selfish is a father who continues to denigrate women and say other foul insensitive things on the air every night for her friends and future whatevers to hear? Especially after he introduces her on camera?

No sense in even describing this. Just listen. I have a bunch of other quotes from that day I'll have to post. I though he and Olbermann weren't going to work together any more.

herr olbermann is so hate-filled he would be perfect on al Jazeera. His anger must stem from not being able to see his parts in over a decade. He still is going after Senator Palin (how he refers to her). He made sure to report on Bristol Palin's future mother-in-law's drug related arrest. Now he's after her fiance, Levi Johnston. He just started an electrician's apprenticeship, which evidently requires a high school education. Now, because of the media attention and suggestion that the Gov or First Dude Palin used their influence, he has had to quit the job.

What parent has helped get their kid a job? Levi's dad works on the site which is a normal way of getting your kid a job. I didn't realize Gov Palin had such supreme control of the universe.

Where is that breaking the law or even newsworthy?

Why doesn't anyone ask why the Obama's deserve it when they haven't been inaugurated? Why should the whole world be at their feet? It took the Germans and Bush to say no.

POLL: IFC/ZOGBY overwhelming media bias

Independent Film Channel/Zogby poll shows overwhelmingly that Americans believe the news is biased and that the biased coverage influenced the outcome of the presidential election. Surprise.

They polled 3,472 adults nationwide on November 5 and 6, 2008 with a very good split of sampling. Of those surveyed: Dems 38%, Rep 31% and Independents 28%. East (22%), South (26%), Center/Great Lakes (30%) and west (22%). Nearly all (99.6%) were registered to vote,99.7% voted. 53% voted for barry 46% McCain. MOE +/- 1.7%.

The proobamedia wants to be in the loop and they had no idea this was coming, which is funny on it's own. Why are they surprised? The fact they are says a great deal. Olbermann is already pist.

BARRY: I am saddened and sobered by the news that came out of the US Attorneys office today. But as this is an ongoing investigation involving the governor, I don't think it will be appropriate for me to comment on the issue at this time.

OLBERMANN: Oh no. Not four more years of no commenting on ongoing investigations. Not that crap! That's not change we can believe in! Surely there's something president elect can say about his involvement without compromising Mr Fitzgerald's efforts.

I'm sorry but this is hysterical. The outrage of obamerized! Just wait till Olbermann sinks his wild boar fangs into barry's scrawny hide. I don't even want to see that. It will be very ugly since anyone who makes Olbermann look stupid (besides himself) pays the price. Even his bud Rachel Maddow was upset. But they are twins separated at birth so it's not a shocker.

OLBERMANN: Is this guy the stupidest SOB on the planet or the craziest. How in the world did he think in this day when there are such things as wiretaps and videotapes and all the rest that nobody would turn him in and somehow he'd get away with this? That's the part that makes no sense - not the fact that he got caught.

It makes sense alright. He had his one chance and he was capitalizing. He knew he was under investigation - he has been since barry's campaign fundraiser was brought to trial. He had nothing to lose so why not cash in? People outside Chicago just don't get this - nor will they ever. It's business as usual...exposed.

Amanda Fortini: "Bitch and the Ditz"

MS AMANDA FORTINI writes about Senator Clinton and Governor Palin as the "Bitch and the Ditz: How the Year of the Woman reinforced the two most pernicious sexist stereotypes and actually set women back."

I feel for this poor unenlightened girl. My guess is she white, voted for obama (and doesn't know anything about him), is younger than 35, grew up in a privileged setting and the year she was born she couldn't have gotten into the university she went to and that prior to Title IX she wouldn't have been able to do the job she is now. I would even venture a guess that she took a class under the title "Women's Studies".

It's quite humorous in a way. What does she know about "setting women back"? She did so with her very title - she's the one connecting the stereotypes to the women. She has been afforded every opportunity because of Senator Clinton's generation, including the ability to rant about something she knows nothing of. It reminds me of the sadly delusional MS KLIFF, who wrote: "Sorry, Hillary - girls already rule."

If that were true, Senator Clinton would be ruling. It would not have even been close if they were both white men. And had she had a resume as thin as barry's, she wouldn't have even made it to Iowa. Yet she is "setting women back".

Ms Fortini, where do you think you are and how do you think you got there? On you're own merit? And what, exactly, are you doing to move women forward? You do realize that is up to your generation, don't you? You cannot speak of setting women back when you don't know or appreciate how far women have come. You have proven your ignorance by referring to Senator Clinton and Governor Palin without their hard-earned titles.

Senator Clinton's generation had to fight for whatever advancement they achieved. They fought so you could believe that gender equality is a birth right. So you could choose to work outside the home and own your own business. So you could take for granted your right to choose.

How many women do you know were made sterile or died because of back alley abortions? Had entrails thrown at them by Evangelicals? Had their reproduction decided for them by their husbands?

My guess is you weren't even born when Senator Clinton was a member of the Nixon impeachment inquiry staff, that you hadn't yet learned how to talk when Senator Clinton founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, were still in grade school when she he was named one of the 100 most influential attorneys (twice) and were just entering college when she was taking on the Chinese like no American man or women had prior (or since), declaring in no uncertain terms women's rights are human rights. Rights you clearly have taken for granted - rights you ridicule in your article. And I am certain you know nothing of what Senator Clinton accomplished in Arkansas concerning children and education.

And yet, you feel comfortable declaring that Senator Clinton has "set women back".

You can no more write about Senator Clinton's generation than I can about ungrateful girls who think they got where they are on their own merit. Do you think you haven't filled a quota along the way? That your appearance and relative shrillness haven't influenced your grades, job opportunities and compensation? Are you so naive as to believe you are equal in the eyes of society to men?

You have attacked Senator Clinton on all fronts, Ms Fortini, without once thinking that she couldn't be a "bitch" unless she had been treated like one. And who is perpetuating it by writing such an article?

Where is positivity? Where is the acknowledgment and congratulations that Senator Clinton got further than anyone thought possible? Where is the perspective from wise women, who were born before they had the right to vote?

Women were no more included in the Constitution than black men - neither could vote. There is not a single black man alive who was born without the right to vote. But there are black women. Black men have been voting since 1870. More black men - former slaves - held office immediately after they got the right to vote than now. It took anther fifty years for women's suffrage.

No matter what barry considers himself - he is a man - and a man as always been president. He does resemble those presidents on the dollar bills - Senator Clinton does not.

The notion, Ms Fortini, that Senator Clinton is "setting women back" is as delusional as your belief that you are treated and given the same respect as men, including and especially by your male peers.

How, exactly, is your article meant to inspire younger girls to want to be like you? How is attacking two women of separate generations that preceded yours, women who had the courage to step forward on the national stage - qualified or not - working to advance women?

How are your words any different than those of misogynists Chris Matthews, Herr Olbermann or Jonjon Alter?

And this:

"The assumption was that these "18 million cracks in the highest glass ceiling," as Clinton put it, would advance the prospects of female achievement and gender equality. It hasn't exactly worked out that way."

"Many will say we’ve come a long way this year. The truth is we have a long way to go."

You do realize, Ms Fortini, that moving women forward is your job and that tearing other women down is not the way to get there.

"Never mind that it's impossible to imagine a male candidate mentioning fatherhood as the source of his readiness to be the nation's second-in-command."

It's not impossible to imagine when it has already been done. Vice presidential debate, Senator Biden: "But the notion that somehow, because I'm a man, I don't know what it's like to raise two kids alone, I don't know what it's like to have a child you're not sure is going to -- is going to make it -- I understand. I understand, as well as, with all due respect, the governor or anybody else, what it's like for those people sitting around that kitchen table. And guess what? They're looking for help. They're looking for help. They're not looking for more of the same."

And he did it while tearing up. Had it been Governor Palin tearing up, Jesse Jackson, Jr. have demanded another investigation. Instead, Governor Palin was ripped apart for not having shown some empathy. And had she? Did anyone question barry for not showing empathy towards Senator McCain's torture-inflicted injuries when he made and approved the ad mocking Senator McCain's inability to use a computer?

Ms Fortini, what did you think as a woman when Senator Clinton was referred to as "It"? Have you written an article on how little society has advanced when a Glenn Beck can call a former first lady and presidential candidate "It" and not be fired?

Were you even aware of it?

Have you written about The Double Standard as pertains barry and his opponents? About Bill Maher speculating how much Hillary's cunt was worth? Would you have written something had he said it in reference to Mrs Obama's cunt?

Ask yourself, Ms Fortini, who is moving women forward by remaining silent and selectively speaking up only when the issue involves race. An injustice to one woman is an injustice to all women. Prejudice is prejudice and there should be no degree to how they are tolerated or addressed.

Who is displaying ignorance by blaming the women attacked for their stereotypes? Who is "setting women back" by not addressing these issues and choosing instead to focus blame and assign cliches?

Women cannot be "set back" if they haven't moved forward in the first place. And women will never move forward unless the next generation chooses to understand and respect the struggles of the women who went before them.

Have you pondered what Mrs Rosa Parks would have felt about this election? What her thoughts would have been on how the female candidates were treated and how they were branded racists by the self-proclaimed Transcender of Race? Would Mrs Parks have believed America has take a full step forward towards achieving a More Perfect Union? Or just a sidestep?

Perhaps in your next article, Ms Fortini, you can demonstrate an understanding of sexism and misogyny as regards the treatment of Senator Clinton and Governor Palin. Maybe even comment on The Double Standard both of them faced and the hierarchy of prejudice in America. Perhaps then your pronouncement would have basis and meaning.

Herr Olbermann & Richard Wolffe. His ears seem more barryish. Is he trying to look like him? That's weird even for him. Sounds like Robin Leach. They're talking about Bush and his reaction to obama - whether or not it was genuine. Olbermann needs a colonic in the worst way. I heard he likes icecream. He looks more like a sausage and pastry lover. Maybe that's his defense - Twinkies. They should hand out Lithium elixir to matthews, olbermann and maddow. She looks like Keith's twin sister. I wonder if she understands the significance of her talking out of the side of her mouth. She must be aware of it.

Anyway. After longwindedkeithness he wants to know if bush was pist or for real.

Matthews speaks positively about Sen Clinton

This is a rant I have been looking forward to. Though this is just a snippet. The pro-obama media will now admit that Hillary Clinton isn't that evil after all and she really did put everything into campaigning. Has barry thanked her publicly? No. Has his surrogates? No. Has the pro-obama media? No. And who today is mentioning it of all people? Matthews, who has called her some of the foulest things imaginable (and will be tomorrow and forever) and who said that she only became senator because bill messed around. He's discussing it with Harold Ford. What position has he been vying for? Or was he just brought in to talk about white hands and hot white chicks and the Bradley effect? Anyway hardball weighs in. Yesterday he said she deserved an A and Bill a B+ and the abuse they took? No apology. Never will be. And if something happens in his presidency it will somehow be their fault.

MATTHEWS: Hillary Clinton's dramatic departure - a bit late I would argue - when she had a full house and had a rather dramatic close to her campaign, but she did it so well. And then giving that really positive speech in Denver along with President Clinton speech. I have a sense she shut down the PUMA movement pretty well and that the people who are real Democrats, who supported her. supported her in moving over to back Obama. What's your sense?

FORD: I agree with you. I think even if you ask the obama campaign you will get widespread agreement or consensus that she went out of the way to be helpful to this campaign and came through on the things she promised. Her and her husband helped in many ways. You get the sense...especially in Pennsylvania...the things you need to do to organize and fortify his base and support in some of these key states.

REPUBLICAN DUDE: I will quickly add this. I think Hillary was a trooper and made a difference - but BO did this all by himself with a great staff. If he wins, he will go to Washington owing nobody.

It doesn't get more delusional than this - even from a republican, Owing nobody? Who wasn't even given a week to get over her loss? Who went to the AIPAC the very next day and vouched for barry to the Jewish community? Within 12 hours of her last primary win and after months of being attacked she got up and did her duty to help barry. Who endorsed him before the convention? Who didn't fight at the convention? Who campaigned for him before he was the nominee? Who went along with things even though barry refused to pay down her debt? He raises $800 million dollars - wasting it at the end because he had extra and refused to pay of her debt. That is not right. That says it all about this man -as if you needed more proof of who he is. Owing nobody? It shows you how little this man knows about Chicago politics and what barry has done to get where he is. This is what makes me angry. They spout nonsense while they trash Sen Clinton who said she would do exactly what she did and they have been giving her and her husband grief for months. Bill up until a few days ago.

Matthews wants to know what the deals were: street money, Ed Rendell, decisions on cabinet positions, etc. Then he weighs in on barry's "cleanliness". The ignorance that is the MSM.

MATTHEWS: I'm not saying he's cleaner than other politicians or democrats - he's different. He doesn't like having his hands on street money.

[He knows better. He knows to have middlemen - why Daley is still in office and the old governor is in federal prison and the present one is being investigated. Why? His connection to Rezko.]

"He doesn't like making cabinet deals." [He just said he didn't know.]

"He doesn't like the old politics." [Chicago politics make Washington look like kindergarten.]

"He doesn't work with committee chairs, the county chairs."

[He didn't have to. He had his own money so he could pay his own people. And he had enough money to pay them out of pocket in cash.]

"He does it his way. I'm not saying it's better - in fact, it may offend me."

[Something about barry offending hardball?]

"It is something we should take into account."

"And by the way, he's not super clean."

[He's not clean at all. You enter Chicago politics, you have to dirty yourself to get in.]

"He didn't take federal money. He changed his mind on that. Let's keep clear on that."

Yeah, let's. But he only brings it up after $800million dollars and after the votes have been cast.

OLBERMANN - over in the corner. He didn't change his mind on that. I read the document.

Says it all - barry admitted to changing it on multiple occasions. He'd defend barry to barry.

jonjon alter's idea of a "DISABLED INFANT"

Then he went on to say how it will make the rounds on shows like Oprah. He should have said The (obamerized) View. His original post was "corrected" which removed more of his inhumane, misogynistic, pro-obama comments. Explains why jonjon and herr olbermann are tied in the polls as "Most Vile" - even beating out fellow misogynist "thrill up my leg" chris matthews. How can matthews continue to be such a flamingly rude misogynist when he has a beautiful daughter, whom he showed off on camera, forever linking her image to his? Does he ever even consider how she must viewed by her friends, schoolmates, teachers and by the parents of her friends and other adult women because of her father's incredibly sexist comments? How can a father be so selfish? Will his granddaughter look back at granddad's work with pride and honor? Will granddad? And what if his teenage daughter were to become pregnant?

"Kill him" allegation fiction?

It appears the pro-obama media bias has struck again in the most disgusting way possible. As if Rep Lewis' comments on 10-11-08 weren't enough. The "Kill him" comment has yet to be corroborated and that fact has not been discussed in the post-debate McCain-is-an-angry-old-man breakdown is just more proof they don't care and want the misinformation to be left dangling. As if it would matter now. The debate audience isn't listening and what they heard was frightening.

At the Scranton Palin rally (10-14), DAVID SINGLETON, a reporter for The Times Tribune Scranton, was the only one who heard it. He estimated the crowd at 4500, so if it was heard - it would have to have been heard by more than one person. And the odds of that one person being a reporter? Here's a quote from his article titled: Palin rallies Scranton voters; crowd member calls to 'kill' Obama." (Note how he takes "Kill him" and translates it to "kill Obama".)

"However, someone did shout out, "Kill him!" during Republican congressional candidate Chris Hackett's remarks before Mrs. Palin took the stage."

This of course set off the proobama propaganda machine - even though no one but SINGLETON heard it and the video embedded in his story does not show it. Herr Olbermann was more than happy to indulge several hours later on Countdown as the video shows.

And The Viewbots were off and running--Joy Behar screaming about attacks while attacking Elisabeth Hasselback. I'm sure all the rest of the MSM ran with it too - a statement from a local newspaper taken as gospel - not that they have investigated anything themselves, but they are certain Obama is a great man and Ayers and ACORN and Rezko and Wright...are no big deal

DAVID SINGLETON (10-15) wrote a follow-up article referring to him in the third person:

"The (Secret Service) agency followed up on a report in The Times-Tribune that a member of the crowd shouted, "Kill him!" after one mention of Mr. Obama's name during a rally Tuesday for Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

And today, Donna Brazile sounded off on CNN.com:

"Yes, racism still exists in America. Its disgusting and insidious presence is evidenced every time some rabid partisan screams "Kill him!" or "Terrorist!" when Obama's name is mentioned at McCain-Palin rallies."

See what happens? And which candidate is it helping and who is it hurting? Aways the same thing: race. Why not? It's worked every time he needed it - except for the dollar bills - the one and only time he admitted to it (after the three customary denials).

Here's an article written by a journalist with integrity, ANDREW M.SEDER (aseder@timesleader.com). I wonder what kind of flak he's getting from bot control. From the timesleader.com: Secret Service says "Kill him" allegation unfounded:

"The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, [Scranton Times-Tribune] appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Obama's name a man in the audience shouted "kill him."

SINGLETON was interviewed by the Secret Service and said he never saw the man and, as expected, the paper's editor stood behind the story. Not surprising since the paper endorsed Obama on 4-13-08.

"Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment."

"I was baffled," he said after reading the report in Wednesday's Times-Tribune.

Slavoski said more than 20 non-security agents were interviewed Wednesday, from news media to ordinary citizens in attendance at the rally for the Republican vice presidential candidate held at the Riverfront Sports Complex. He said Singleton was the only one to say he heard someone yell "kill him."

"We have yet to find someone to back up the story," Slavoski said. "We had people all over and we have yet to find anyone who said they heard it."

Slavoski said the agents take such threats or comments seriously and immediately opened an investigation but after due diligence "as far as we're concerned it's closed unless someone comes forward." He urged anyone with knowledge of the alleged incident to call him at 346-5781. "We'll run at all leads," he said.

It defies the laws of physics that only one person heard it. And it defies reality that that one person would be a reporter. And why did he scurry home to break the story instead of immediately notifying a policeman or SS agent? Reeks of botism. Because of the previous rally comments and Rep John Lewis' statements, the crowd had to be teeming with Secret Service and law enforcement. Does a citizen have a responsibility to report an alleged threat to a presidential candidate? The SS will be all over this, because if it's true (not at all likely), they failed in their duty. And what happens if it's a false allegation? How can that bell be unrung? And if/when this dude finally comes clean is he going to be terrorized in the press like "Joe the Plumber" or hushed up like the alleged Palin email hacker, David Kernell, son of state Rep. Michael Kernell (D-TN)?

UPDATE today (10-16) in the Times Tribune Scranton by the "Staff writers"

"Mr. Singleton said the remark came from his right, amid booing that followed Mr. Hackett's mention of Mr. Obama.

"(I) very distinctly heard, 'Kill him!' Male voice," he said. "It was definitely back in the back."

Mr. Singleton said other people were in the bleachers he was behind and in similar orange bleachers to the right.

He moved toward the area where he thought the remark came from to see if the person who said it would repeat it. That didn't happen, and he was unable to identify the speaker, he said.

"I didn't hear anything else at that point," he said.

The bleachers were at least 50 feet away from a camera riser and tables where other local and national reporters and photographers were stationed. As Mr. Hackett spoke, national reporters who follow Mrs. Palin around had not arrived. Their seats were on the side of the camera riser closest to Mr. Singleton.

So that's the excuse? The national reporters didn't write about it because they weren't there yet? And what about all the people in the bleachers? How is Governor Palin supposed to hear something that no one but SINGLETON heard? He was concerned enough to look but not enough to ask what they heard or tell the Secret Service? It defies logic. What kind of reporter would pass that opportunity up in light of the last two weeks? He is either "mistaken" or heard someone utter a threat to presidential nominee and did nothing but write about it. Not good either way.
