Now the free stuff. There are links on his site of you want to donate as well.
From the website:
Although the house Nadya will soon be moving into is much bigger than her current home, it doesn’t have a nursery equipped for eight babies. Dr. Phil tells the mom that Shalena Smith from Ga Ga Designs has generously offered to create a brand-new nursery for the octuplets.
Nadya expresses her surprise.
She wasn't that surprised. Look at her reaction. Her affect is completely off. Well, I guess you can't unless you watched it. She never appears to have any real emotion. Her publicist, Victor Munoz, said the first time he saw any emotion was when it dawned on her the children were actually going home. He said she broke down and sobbed...not out of joy. This situation is so very sad. All I can think about is the oldest girl. Age 6 and her youth is basically over.
Ask yourself - if Nadya was impaired - her judgment just as poor - because she was abusing drugs or alcohol would she be allowed to take those children home?
Shalena Smith and husband Calvin, who grew up in foster care.
SHALENA SMITH: We got a great team together, and my goal is to bless these babies’ lives, and make the environment safe and furnish it so they have cribs to come home to.
Half a million dollar house and not a single crib purchased. She gave birth on January 25th.
Nadya will also receive rocking chairs, changing tables, armoires, dressers and bunk beds for the older children.
DR PHIL: They’re going to come in and set all of this up for you.
NADYA: Wow. Thank you so much.
And that was really all she said.
Million Dollar Baby donated the cribs.
Young America by Stanley Furniture donated the bunk beds for the older children.
Stan Whitaker, owner and CEO of Whitaker General Contracting, has offered to oversee the remodel of the TV room into a nursery.
WHITAKER: We’re family-oriented and helping families is what we do.
Aimee Phillips from Uptown Flooring and Design has offered to provide all of the carpet and flooring throughout the house.
PHILLIPS: If we can contribute to help make this a safe place for these kids to come home. That’s what it’s all about.
And Doug Phillips of Lauzon Distinctive Hardwood Flooring is donating hardwood floors to the house.
And Nadya's reaction:
NADYA: I’m shocked. I’m just surprised. I didn’t think it was that set up already.
