I'm thinking Iowa's Supreme Court decision to overturn the ban on same-sex marriage means a whole lot more than Prop 8 in California or Massachusetts and Connecticut already allowing same-sex marriage.
CBS POLL
March 16-19
1142 adults
MOE +/- 3%
Some form of legal recognition for same-sex couples 60%
Same-sex marriage 33% (2004 - 22%)
Civil Unions 27%
No legal recognition 35% (2004 - 40%)
Would have thought the numbers would have changed more than that.
Support same sex marriage
Northeast 44%
West 38%
Midwest 30%
South 25%
Women 38%
Men 27%
Younger than 45 41%
Over 65 18%
Over 65 50% no legal recognition of same-sex marriage
Not surprisingly Republicans, conservatives, and white evangelicals oppose any legal recognition of same-sex couples. They just get caught having affairs.
