Octuplets: Jeff Czech prior comments on child labor laws

Part of Peterson’s lawsuit, which is being handled by Gloria Allred, is whether the filming of the octuplets and older children is subject to California child labor laws. One requirement the presence of a nurse and teacher on set.

Nadya and her lawyer say that they are filming her - not the children. Problem being they wouldn’t be filming her if the octuplets and the older children weren’t involved.

Octorazzi was all over the child labor law question when the reality show deal was first mentioned in early April. He even managed to get a comment from Nadya’s lawyer, Jeff Czech.

OCTORAZZI:

When asked by telephone about cash donations received so far, Suleman’s attorney Jeff Czech said that a trust fund is being set up for the children.

CZECH: I gave this assignment to one of my associates.

Czech also said that he is making sure that certain principal portions of child labor laws are being followed when the children are filmed “in case it’s (the law) applicable later.”

CZECH: We’re not trying to get any money out of the children. The contract is with Nadya. Any filming with the babies is secondary.

How can he say that with a straight face?
But it may explain why no deal has been made. Nadya said she has not signed anything yet.
