Illinois Supreme Court denied Peterson’s appeal of the lower court’s ruling that Kathleen Savio’s estate should be reopened. Not as if anyone would give a man arrested for murder control of his murdered wife’s estate.
Feb 4th ruling to Peterson’s appeal. He lost – the Savio family remained in control of the estate.
March 11th: Peterson filed an appeal with the Illinois Supreme Court challenging this lower court ruling.
April 21: Savio’s father and sister file a wrongful death lawsuit against Peterson.
May 7: Peterson arrested.
May 22: Judge holds firm on $2M bond
May 28: Supreme Court upholds lower court ruling – estate stays in the Savio family’s hands.
