Dave the pig Letterman is trying to get off saying he was talking about Gov Palin’s oldest daughter when he “joked” about an “awkward moment” she had at the Yankees’ game when “her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez”. Problem being it was her 14 y/o daughter who was with her and he referred to that game – not a generic game.
One awkward moment during the game – maybe you heard about it – saw it on one of the highlight reels – one awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game. During the 7th inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez. You can see how that’s be awkward.
Notice how the audience loves the joke. How would it be funny about a 34 y/o man and an 18 y/o girl?
This is what Dave thought was funny on Tuesday:
“the toughest part of her visit was keeping Eliot Spitzer away from her daughter“
Eliot Spitzer as in the NY governor who was disgraced because of his use of prostitutes.
From Entertainment Weekly (E.com)
We were, as we often do, making jokes about people in the news and we made some jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughter [Bristol]… and now they’re upset with me…” Letterman says on tonight’s show. “These are not jokes made about her 14-year-old daughter. I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl…. Am I guilty of poor taste? Yes. Did I suggest that it was okay for her 14-year-old daughter to be having promiscuous sex? No.” Saying he hopes he’s “cleared part of this up,” Letterman extended an invitation to Palin to come on the show as a guest.
