Updated list of birth certificate posts
We get these types of posts sent to us and depending on the sender it’s: “See, idiot!” or “Do you believe this idiot?”
This blogger tried for the former but ended up the latter.
Ever since Rachel Maddow went off and literally blamed birthers for that hateful man’s unprovoked attack on the Holocaust Museum – I’ve made a point of reading them. This post was ranted by man in an attempt to vouch for a man he knows nothing about. It was a long hateful vomit of words and if one replaced “birthers” with “Jews” or “Blacks” it would qualify for hate speech. Why such venom toward “crazies who will never be satisfied”? Why the need to spread more hate?
This one isn’t as bad. Though as is typical – he is ignorant of the fact and completely bypasses common sense.
First he states:
“Birthers” are a group of misguided individuals that believe Barack Obama is not the President of the United States because he is not a citizen of this country. Internet rumors swirled…mainly through the promulgation of falsehoods by radically extreme organizations and fringe groups.
This is not only wrong – it’s irresponsible. He provides no proof of who these folks supposedly are (except the usual Jerome Corsi and WND) and does not provide proof that what was being promulgated were falsehoods. No one can make that determination until they have seen with their own eyes a certified copy, or better yet, the hand typed original of barry’s long form birth certificate. The only ones to have seen it in reference to his eligibility are Dr Fukino and one other health department official.
And Dr Fukino never commented on any of the information on the form.
She never said barry was born in Hawaii.
She did not say what hospital he was born in.
And she most assuredly did not vouch for the authenticity of the COLB that barry is using as “proof”.
She did not confirm that the State of Hawaii ever even issued a COLB to barry.
And she absolutely made no connection between what she examined and the COLB barry provided.
None.
Those are facts that cannot be changed by ranting and labeling people as fringy radicals.
Dr Fukino said only that barry’s long form birth certificate was on file and in accordance with Hawaiian law.
I have personally seen and verified that the Hawai’i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.
And although the spokeswoman for the Hawaii Department of Health, Janice Okubo made “clarifying comments” of “what Dr Fukino meant” – Okubo never saw the document. And yet she said:
When you request a birth certificate, the one you get looks exactly like the one posted on his site. That’s the birth certificate.
No. And no. It was irresponsible of her to even say that and even crazier that people like Politifact — who should deal only in exact facts – not interpretations of them by non-eyewitnesses — take as gospel. Its hearsay. She wouldn’t qualify as an expert witness. She cannot say “exactly”. And it is not – nor will it ever be – the birth CERTIFICATE. Call it semantics if you like but they are two different documents and they exist separately for a reason. If the COLB was the birth CERTIFICATE there would be no controversy.
Again – she has never seen barry’s actual long form birth certificate. She has no idea what is on it – therefore she cannot say “that’s the birth certificate”. The CERTIFICATION of Live Birth – is simply proof that a birth CERTIFICATE exists. It provides facts that meet the requirements of proof of birth for some, but not all things.
And about the copy we e-mailed her for verification? “When we looked at that image you guys sent us, our registrar, he thought he could see pieces of the embossed image through it.”
Still, she acknowledges: “I don’t know that it’s possible for us to even say beyond a doubt what the image on the site represents.”
A Hawaiian COLB is accepted by the State Department as proof of citizenship. But taken alone, it is not proof of natural born citizenship, which is what’s relevant to barry. COLB by themselves are uncorroboratable. At the time barry was born he could have born in a manger in Bethlehem and still have gotten a Hawaiian COLB.
The COLB is not the actual birth CERTIFICATE, which provides the hospital, doctor, witnesses, mother’s father signature, etc. Nobody even knows what hospital barry was born in.
A COLB is not a birth certificate — it can be used in lieu of a birth certificate.
If the COLB was “the birth CERTIFICATE” – they would just issue COLBs at birth. They are filed digitally now but not in 1961.
And most telling of all, Dr Fukino, fully aware of the questions raised by her careful parsing – never came forward to add to her own statement.
Folks can rant hate speech all they like but it is never going to change the fact that barry has not produced a single legal document that definitively proves he is eligible to hold the office of the presidency. That does not necessarily mean he is not eligible. It means he refuses to prove he is eligible.
Why? Why would a self-proclaimed Man of Transparency! still be fighting in court six months into his presidency to make sure no such document is ever seen?
Something the birther haters can never answer.
And what’s on that birth certificate no longer matters really. He’s never going to not be president. It’s a matter of national and international security. It’s why he traveled to so many states and so many countries – especially Arab ones.
What matters is he’s hiding something.
The President of the United States is paying money to keep something hidden. For at least the last 10 months a man claiming transparency has had lawyers working on his behalf to prevent personal information from being released to The American People.
And the media has been working hand and hand with him.
Forget the birth certificate – what does it say of the birther haters that this doesn’t bother them?
No one knows with certainty where barry was born other than those in attendance at the time of his birth, the person who typed the form, the person who filed it, the person who computerized it, the person who sent him the COLB (if someone did), the two health officials, barry, whoever he told and whoever he provided it to (schools, passports, medical records, etc). And supposedly there are some living relatives of his mother, who in theory could know. barry himself admitted to having a copy of his long form birth CERTIFICATE in his possession at one time – but has since been quoted as having been born in two different hospitals – as has his sister.
So how is it these birther ranters are absolutely certain barry was born in Hawaii when they cannot even state which hospital he was born in? When no one can? When no one can even say with certainty he was born in one?
The ones who bother to defend their rant with “facts” include the “evidence” of “proof” by a “factchecking” site – in this case Politifact.
He says:
…[that] the birth certificate submitted is a forgery-gave rise to the movement.
And:
Now this idea has been debunked repeatedly by media outlets, and also by the very fact that the aforementioned document has been produced and verified to be authentic. Non -partisan fact-checking site PolitiFact has indeed verified this.
The problem being no birth CERTIFICATE has ever been produced or submitted – making it an absolute impossibility for one to be verified.
The first step in verifying the authenticity of something is determining what it is called. Kos, Fight the Smears, Factcheck and Politifact all refer to the barry-provided CERTIFICATION of Live Birth (COLB) as a birth CERTIFICATE.
They vetted a Ford and pronounced it to be an authentic Chevy, destroying their credibility and nullifying their findings with their own words.
Their conclusion is flawed by the mere fact they say birth CERTIFICATE.
There is not one shred of evidence to disprove PolitiFact’s conclusion that the candidate’s name is Barack Hussein Obama, or to support allegations that the birth certificate he released isn’t authentic.
Call it semantics and try to justify it with Dr Fukino’s spokeswoman’s hearsay – in the end she said she couldn’t vouch for the COLB.
So how can Politifact?
It can’t.
What they did and said and concluded is completely meaningless. Except to the masses, who prefer to rant rather than quietly ponder the obvious question:
Why would a man pay his lawyers over $1 million dollars to fight something he could take care of in 3-5 business days (overnight) and less than $20?
This is what upset me about this man’s post. He included this as representative of “birthers”. That birthers are automatically conspiracist racists and Muslim haters. Problem is that tired old campaign tactic – defend barry by attacking – won’t work anymore. barry’s behavior speaks for itself.
