Anita MTS Dunn is the latest to catch the bus out of town…from underneath it.
She is “stepping down” from her ‘interim” position and her deputy, Dan Pfeiffer will take over. She will return to Squier Knapp Dunn, the consulting firm where she is a partner and still carry on as “consultant to the White House on the communications and strategic matters”.
The spin is she went out and trashed FOX because she was just going to be interim communications director anyway.
Why do they even bother?
Bottom line: Dunn’s the first senior advisor to go and it sounds like Rahm Emanuel might be next.
Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s chief of staff and former Illinois Congressman, has made clear he would like to return to elected office at some point in the not-too-distant future and, if past presidencies are any guide there will be some further turnover in the senior staff over the next year or so.
Valerie Jarrett has gone back into hiding after the Olympic failure and David Axelrod has brought his lobbying firm to Washington.
Here’s a curious part about Dunn that I was not aware of.
Dunn worked for Blair Hull on his 2004 US Senate bid. She advised him not to mention anything about his 1998 contentious divorce from his wife, which included verbal and physical abuse. Three weeks before the March Primary, Hull’s divorce records were unsealed and there went Hull’s chances. Up until that time he was ahead in the polls.
And who did it open the door for?
Yep. barry.
So exactly who was the little commie lover it was just irony really working for?
And then in the general election, barry’s people got Republican opponent Jack Ryan’s divorce papers unsealed and again barry won by default.
The only fair election barry went into he got crushed 60-30 by Rep Bobby Rush.
