Drew Peterson
According to CBS 2 NEWS:
Drew’s oldest son came home from school in Stacy’s vehicle. When his son got out, Drew took the keys, got in the car and drove away tailed by Illinois State Police. He drove a block or two and while stopped at the intersection of Lily Cache Lane and Weber Road he stepped out of the vehicle and was handcuffed and placed inside a SUV.
Happened around 5:30 pm.
I don’t know as yet why he tried to drive away – he was already surrounded. My guess is he didn’t want to be arrested in front of his kids.
CBS2 Mike Puccinelli had talked with Drew earlier today and asked him if he was ready to be arrested. Peterson said he’s been ready for 18 months. Was he glad to get it over with? No, it certainly isn’t a party or anything like that.
I have no idea when his “fiance” moved back in because as Puccinelli was reporting live, she pulled up in her vehicle and he said her children were inside with Drew’s.
