Updated list of birth certificate posts
Here’s Rep Posey’s plea for contributions to fight the don’t you dare say a thing about barry machine. He is being attacked because he proposed the barry soetoro birth certificate bill (H.R. 1503) that is not retrospective and has nothing to do with barry – except the fact that Democrats and barrymedia are making it about him.
Why should they care what the bill says?
Isn’t barry a natural born citizen?
Isn’t he the legal POTUS?
Hasn’t he already shown his birth certificate??
Rep Posey has gotten some support from House Republicans: Minority Leader John Boehner’s PAC, the Freedom Project, donated $5,000 to Posey’s campaign in June. Minority Whip Eric Cantor’s ERICPAC gave $7,500.
Not sure why he didn’t provide links of his bot attacks. He says they are “already making tens of thousands of automated phone calls in my district” and that he’s “being lambasted by the media and late-night comics” and the “national liberal left has made me Target #1 for defeat in the 2010 Congressional elections” and that they are going to “make me pay for having the gall to enforce the Constitution”.
No, Rep Posey, it’s the gall to question barry.
ISSUE: My bill (H.R. 1503) would require all future candidates for President to provide documents (including a birth certificate) proving they are eligible to hold the office of President under our Constitution.
I need your immediate help if I am to survive the all-out attacks against me by the left-wing hacks and liberal media because of this bill I introduced.
Dear Friend of the Constitution,
My name is Congressman Bill Posey.
I am a conservative Republican and I urgently need your immediate help to win re-election in 2010.
If I am to keep this Congressional seat in Republican hands, I will need to raise upwards of $4,000,000.
The only way I can do this is with voluntary contributions from patriots like you who love freedom and who are alarmed at the wild multi-TRILLION-dollar spending spree by Nancy Pelosi and the Socialist direction the Democratic majority is taking America.
I am now under an all-out assault by the liberal news media and special interests because of a bill I recently introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives.
My question to you is: “Where do you stand on this?”
Our Constitution states:
“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”
This is very clear.
“Natural born” means born in the United States.
For most Americans, birth certificates are a matter of public record.
The question is: Do you think we should just ignore the Constitution of the United States? Or do you think we should follow our Constitution?
I have never been known as a bomb thrower or an especially controversial figure.
But I’m being lambasted by the media and late-night comics. And the national liberal left has made me Target #1 for defeat in the 2010 Congressional elections, already making tens of thousands of automated phone calls in my district and raising a multi-million-dollar campaign war chest to defeat me.
I am writing to ask if you will contribute to help me raise the $4,000,000 that I will need to withstand the blistering assault already being waged against me – and that will only intensify in the coming weeks and months.
I am in urgent need of every dollar I can possibly raise if I am to survive this liberal assault and keep this Congressional seat in conservative Republican hands. I will need lots of small contributions from regular taxpayers who are angry and fed up with the tax-and-spend policies of Nancy Pelosi and the liberal Democrats who control Congress.
We can hold these extremist policies in check if we elect more conservatives to Congress.
That is why I need your financial help to survive the massive assault that’s coming at me right now. They are stopping at nothing to defeat me – to make me pay for having the gall to enforce the Constitution.
If I am to survive this multi-million-dollar assault, I need every conservative who reads this message to answer this S.O.S. Emergency Call-for-Help with your best contribution.
Sincerely,
Congressman Bill Posey
Republican Member of the U.S. House of Representatives
Florida’s 15th District
P.S.- I never imagined that simply introducing a bill that would require future candidates for the Presidency of the United States to present a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship upon filing for their candidacy would have kicked up such a firestorm.
